Callaway Gardens Country Store

My three friends and I were meandering back towards home and decided to have breakfast at the Country Store. This building was the original one built by Callaway when he created Callaway Gardens. We sat near the window which provided a lovely view of the fall foliage. Our wait staff Margaret was very sweet and helpful and got our order perfect, then continued checking on us throughout our meal. More, because a few of us like a little bit of coffee with our sugar, she brought us a bowl of sugar, which kept us from having to open a million tiny packets. This of course makes her my personal favorite. 🥰 Breakfast was simple; French toast and fruits, scrambled eggs and grits, country ham and eggs, and bacon and eggs. It was all cooked perfectly and quickly, and served nice and hot. More so, it didn't break the bank. Pricing is very reasonable. We also enjoyed the store itself and made a few purchases prior to leaving. I just adore places like this and will definitely be back again.

We had a wonderful experience! Our waitress Caitlin was so sweet & attentive. Our food came fast & was yummy. She checked on us a few times, ensuring everything was okay & drinks were full. We were sat right next to the window, with a gorgeous view.
The gift shop was adorable and the cashier was so friendly. Overall, I am so glad we stopped!

Food was delicious and Renee was a fantastic server. The view from our table was beautiful as well. Saw some other reviews say the service was bad, but we didn’t experience any bad service at all!! We will definitely be coming back.

Very nice place. My first time ever coming here. I was just passing through so can't comment on the resort. I got some jared jelly and pickles. Scenery is beautiful.

Breakfast is served everyday till 11:00 a.m. I enjoyed a breakfast this morning it was very good. Try the muscadine preserves with your biscuit it was awesome. Haley was my waitress and she did a very good job checked on me several times during her busy schedule.

The food was great as usual! I recommend the country Chicken and eggs!
Our server was nice and apologetic for not being able to serve us in a timely manner. I was there for breakfast, but It was not busy/crowded anymore
But the service was very slow because they were short staff.
But other than that I enjoyed my breakfast with my family with an overlooking beautiful view!

Excellent selection of comfort food on their menu. They do have lighter fare, but this place is well know for its hearty food. The country fried steak is much better than most other restaurants. Try the pot roast. This is the only place, which makes it better than grandma's! Save room for dessert!

The staff is always very nice and attentive.

Warning, during the summer and during the christmas season, this place is hopping!

We only had breakfast here but it really hit the spit. I had an omelet all the way with sausage and hash browns and the omelet was well made and tasted wonderful. I even liked the coffee not to mention the view. It is a great little place to sneak out to. The price was not. bad for the amount and quality of food you get. The servers were very friendly and nice.

Love Country Stores, and this was no exception. A bit small, but there is a restaurant attached which I will visit next trip to Callaway. Employees were very friendly!

Had dinner with the family. All 13 of us! 5 children and an adult in a wheelchair. We were seated promptly and our server was excellent. The view of the mountains and the sunset were spectacular! The food was delicious! Thanks for a wonderful family memory

Glad to see that they are finally turning the place around. It’s not what it used to be, but the plandemic killed a lot of businesses. To the guy that complained about the porch being enclosed since the last time he was there, It’s been enclosed since about 1980, so…
Food was good, service was great. I hope they continue to improve, and recover.

The restaurant in the Country Store is excellent!!! The hostess made sure that our party of 11 had a table with a view, the server (Mallory) was EXCELLENT in taking great care of all of us, and the food was delicious!

The Ying: The Food, Service, and View were all EXCELLENT! Many great selections on the menu (pictured). The catfish and hush puppies were by far the best I ever et. The biscuits and corn muffins were excellent also, the Muscadine Grape Jam on top was delicious too. We were there in a warm late February with early buds blooming, before the busy season, and if you can get a table near the large picture window you will have a beautiful view of a large west-Georgia valley and forest.

The Yank: None. No Complaints. However, I hear it can be very busy and crowded during peak warm season.

Enjoyed our breakfast looking at this view. Great food. Great service. My grandson( 16 years old) has never eaten here and said it was the best breakfast ever.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon at Callaway Gardens in January of 1988 and have eaten periodically and many times at the Country Store for the past 29 years. There is always a great view, good food and great service. It is my wife's favorite place to eat breakfast on the weekend.

Despite the time it may take to get your food our waitress was great and my eggs and ham were delicious

Callaway Gardens Country Store speaks for its self. The staff are as good as it gets , just consider them family . I enjoy speaking with visitors from all around the world because they all have heard good things about Callaway Gardens and have come to visit this great area of ours . We love our heritage and Callaway Gardens country store is one of the many Callaway areas to visit and experience. Come and enjoy some of our southern hospitality folks.

I absolutely love this place, me and my family have visited here for years. We love the manager and the staff there. The food was great, please get the Collard Greens, they were awesome. This place is the best thing in Callaway i will return for.

We ate breakfast here on Sat and Sunday while staying in area. Best meals we had on mountain. Fast friendly service with fantastic Mountain View. Great coffee and food.
