Cafe De La Salle

Whenever we travel, we ask locals where to eat and they always provide great recommendations! We wanted some REAL local CAJUN food when visiting Chicot State Park and Louisiana State Arboretum and after asking three individuals, all local, all three recommended the Cafe De La Salle. Friendly service, friendly lunch crowd and REALLY GOOD CAJUN FOOD. Pictured is a Seafood Muflatta, yummy! Menu has a very good selection of CAJUN dishes. Highly recommend!

We just picked a couple of burgers, fries and fried onion rings at Cafe De Lasalle. It was great. The burger is huge and taste great, fries and onion rings also AWSOME. Great meal at a very reasonable price. We would highly recommend Cafe De Lasalle for your next meal.

It's a small business that is family run. It has a buffet and a menu to choose the food they offer.
The Swamp Monster is a big burger with double meat patties, cheese, the usual dressings, stuffed with fried shrimp, fried onions and jalapenos. All the ingredients come together in your mouth for a damn near perfect cajun blend of a burger. Plus, it's only like 6 bucks!

Amazing Food!!!! Everything ordered here tasted so great. I loved the historic mural on the back wall and all of the decorations. And the food was amazing. I always try to visit here when we visit ville Platte and it always makes me so happy!!!

Had the Smoked Stuffed Ponce. Delicious. Had good service. Had a General Motors Representatives with me from New Orleans and he loved it so he had 2 helpings. Will be coming here in future.

Ville Platte's Best Kept Secret! This little cafe on Lasalle Street is the heart of the working community. They serve breakfast and lunch Monday thru Saturday each week. The folks are home spun and the food is home done! Best Cajun gumbo in Central Louisiana, and certainly the best in Ville Platte. Miss Darlene and her crew will fix up with any number of mouth watering dishes on her menu, and you can guarantee to get genuine hospitality, along with extremely good prices. The Cafe De Lasalle also does professional catering. I know from personal experience Miss Darlene caters beautifully for weddings and many other events.

Real Cajun home cooking like mawmaw did with all the correct seasonings. buffet had smothered ponce in gravy, pork roast in gravy, smothered sausage and tasso in gravy, smothered potatoes and sausage plus 4 different veggies. The service was great and entertaining

The Cajun bomb was to die for. The buffet had delicious choices, from meatball stew to sauce piquant. Great local option.

Cafe De LA Salle has incredible food for very affordable prices. I highly recommend them to anybody who is looking for some great Cajun food for breakfast or lunch.
