Food City

The store is clean, well organized and the staff is very helpful and polite. They have very good manager special discounts every day especially for meats like beef, chicken, and pork.

I love this food city. The young lady at the counter actually noticed the turkey wasn't the right color and checked the date. She then ask a young man to exchange it for me. I ask about plants outside and she went with me to pick one and offered to carry it. Very polite and very professional! Great job! 👍

Guys in the meat department are very friendly and helpful. They have customer service down to a science! My cashier and bagger were also very friendly. I'm new to the area so I've never been in this store before.
All around great experience but those guys in the meat department deserve something special. They are top notch. I will do ALL my shopping here from now on.

Fresh veggies, well stocked bakery, hot food deli. Very clean bathrooms and store.

I absolutely love this food city. One of the only places around that still bag your groceries. Shelves are always stocked and the butcher department has great quality meat. I can’t say enough good stuff about this store. A lot of the employees are union high students. I can’t say enough how much I enjoy that.

It’s fine but understand that it’s under construction

The staff here is great! They engage in conversation with you (even the young ones!) and are really helpful. The store is clean and if you don't see something you need, just ask and they will help you.

This store is great! It's always clean and everyone is always friendly. I may be biased as I work here but I love everything about it. Some things we just can't get right now with the pandemic but that's not the stores fault. If you ever have a question about anything, just ask and we will try to our best ability to help answer your question. I've shopped here since this store opened nearly 15 year's ago.

Wide selection of food. Bakery/deli great selection

Always deals in different departments, this trip was for birthday cupcakes!! But I still perused up and down the isles looking for bargains and things I might need but forgot about. Plus, the more I buy, the more fuel rewards I could get and save money on gas.

Employees are all very nice and respectful. I was short on money one of the cashiers pulled money out of her pocket and paid the bill. A few years ago my grandson was wanting one of the big hugh stuffed dogs. He has Downs Syndrome. One of the cashiers took him by the hand ask me if it was ok. They would be right back. Here they come with the big Hugh doggie. She had bought it for him. I think of their kindness. Great employees. Good sales.

My rating might be a little misleading. The first time I walked into this store, October 2020 -- I said I would never go back. The young lady working the register was super rude and too busy flirting with the bag boy. And to be honest, I have been pretty much missing my former Food City since that time. However, I found Bonnie, Stephanie and crew with the Instacart crew and would NEVER, ever go back. Bonnie has even reached out to me when they've restocked items that they've not had in weeks! If you aren't using Instacart with this store, you should be because THAT is where you will find superior customer service. Did I mention the sweet holiday card I received from them this year? I wish each employee in the store was trained by the Instacart crew because this store has so much potential. Bonnie, Stephanie and crew... you deserve a raise.

I went there today to get a few necessities and there was no sign of social distancing anywhere! The parking lot had only 3 open spots, and the store was so crowded, it was worse then before the virus! There were so many people in there, that you couldn't distance even if you tried! I was so stressed. The front end of the store was the worst. People were all but touching each other because there were so many in there! There was no employees trying to help with the distancing and many of the staff, don't wear their mask right! I get that its hot to wear it for long periods, but if it doesn't cover your nose, its not helping 😒.

If I was a betting man I’d put my money on this being the better of any local grocery stores. It feels more or less like a good grocer from home or “the big city” which of course one can anticipate having more competition and therefore better product. It’s a half decent place.

I want to give a shoutout to the staff at the Maynardville Food City. Every single person I encounter provides amazing customer service. Cole Cunningham is an amazing front end manager. I see him often, and he is always working his tail off to help people. If you're in this area, this is the place to go. I love shopping here.

Food City was very clean, well stocked and good prices. Employees was friendly and helpful. Produce was fresh, meat coolers were clean well stocked. I was very happy with food city in Maynardville.

The manager seems to always be available, customer service is great here. It's ok to question a price, they make it right if an item scans incorrectly! Beer and similar beverages ARE Cold! Great produce and meat selection.
