Great coffee shop with a good selection of drinks and food items. The staff is friendly and there is a cool vibe! Great stop if you are on Signal Mountain!

Rich dark coffee. Indoor and outdoor seating areas. Nice service.

Feels like a local favorite. But it's the top of my list as well for this area.

One navigation note is that there is no sign by the road. It's on the building and the building is set back behind and to the side of another building. So you could drive by it like I did and have to circle back around!

Got there early on a Sunday morning and grabbed a cup of dark roast. All the standard amenities available in terms of creamer and sugars. Nice outdoor seating area with picnic tables or small round tops in front.

I think there were some snacks available but I was only looking for coffee. They seem to do a brisk business in coffee beans as well. People were bringing in containers and getting them filled or ground and filled.

The indoor seating is varied from tables to comfy leather chairs. Seems like a nice cozy spot to hunker down with a laptop.

The outdoor patio area was dog friendly and my daughter and grandson the husky enjoyed a nice cup of coffee and good conversation.

I wasn't trying anything fancy but they look like they had all the regular options. The young lady behind the counter was super friendly and helpful!

Plenty of parking in the lot out front.

When I'm back in Chattanooga I'll have to swing by here!

The sweetest little coffee shop. My only issue is that they close pretty early!

Go-to’s are the Taft, their flat whites and iced lattes. The sweetest staff, polite, fast service, and good seating options in a really cute spot. I can’t recommend them enough. 💛

Mayfly’s coffee exceeded my expectations. I had 2 double espressos and both were so balanced and perfectly extracted which blew me away with it being a medium-dark roast. Enjoyed my Mabbit Springs burrito (egg, spinach, feta), & ended with a 12 oz latte that we well steamed, so delicious.

We love to come to Mayfly, the guys at the counter always are nice and do the best to give you the coffee you want. The bakery is also delicious.

I just moved to the are and came here for a coffee and to get in an hour of work. I really enjoyed my iced white mocha and the atmosphere. This will be my new place! Can't wait to come back in a few days and try some breakfast too.

Really enjoy this coffee shop. Food is well priced, along with drinks. Not as extensive of a coffee menu as some other shops but really good quality coffee. Highly recommend the cold brew & a breakfast sandwich or breakfast burrito. Sweet folks run the place & is part of Cadence Coffee Co.

Tucked away in a cozy spot downtown. Friendly service and iced mocha drink was great on a hot afternoon and got cinnamon rolls for takeaway. Will visit again soon.

My favorite coffee shop in Chattanooga area.
It's nice to escape the valley for a nice cup. The shop has a very home-like feel. Comfortable couches and chairs.
It's awesome to see the roaster in the back of the shop.
The coffee is excellent, dark roast full flavor coffee. They try to source their beans ethically by buying farmer direct.
The safe is excellent and very helpful.
Location has easy parking access. I take all my family and friends when they are in town.

Cold brew coffee was the best I've had in ages. Delightful cappuccino. The strawberry muffin was the perfect texture and was very flavorful without being overly sweet. The staff was very friendly to boot; made us wish we lived in Chattanooga.

Stopped by a couple days ago. Enjoyed a cinnamon scone and Lolo helped me pick out a fun drink! The service and environment was cozy, good mountain shop to check out😀

Best iced lattes in town! Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. Well worth the trip up the mountain.

Edit: Well it's been a while and I went back and my drink was excellent. The espresso shot was pulled perfectly. I'm changing it to 5 stars but leaving my review for prosperity's sake.

Just a tip for the baristas:

The espresso is getting a poor extraction and taste bitter. I’ve had half a dozen drinks from you guys and they all taste the same. Please try to dial in your shots. The espresso grind is probably too course and your machine is not reaching the required amount of pressure to properly extract espresso. It’s all about grind, pressure, and time. Espresso should be smooth, thick, and have a natural sweetness. Your shots are lacking all 3.

My last suggestion relates to the syrups you use. The simple flavors like vanilla and mocha should not come from a premade bottle of highly processed corn syrup. Seriously just make some simple syrup and put a vanilla bean or extract in there… it will taste 100x better than the torani-esque syrups you use. Those are bad and should be illegal.

Stopped by at lunch today to pick up a latte and got a seasonal drink (blended banana oat milk dirty chai) for my daughter as well. Both were amazing as usual. They are always consistently good and have a small, but extremely well thought out food menu. The one stand out thing that made me write a review today was the task switching of the barista while I was there. She was bouncing among the hot drink station, to the cold drink station, to the register, and back again. Never missing a beat. Creating/Delivering drinks based on efficiency and not linearly. I am not being overly dramatic when I say it was well choreographed visual poetry motion.

When a place roasts their own beans you know it’s going to be good. Add to that a friendly staff and a mellow mountain vibe with indoor & outdoor spaces to enjoy your fresh brew! Best coffee shop in Chattanooga.

Their updated space is really nice. The coffee is great, and the food offerings (although not a large selection) are very good. Close to some great trails. A perfect stop for before or after a hike.

One of my favorite coffee shops in the area. Not sure how they do it but the way they roast their beans turns out some ultra delish coffee!!! Atmosphere is usually cozy and quiet. Great spot!
