OMG! I have a confession to make. I have never made fried chicken! But...I have eaten the most moist, flavorful fried chicken and that was at Home Folks Family Restaurant! I took a bite and knew I would be having more! You can have as much of any item you want including desserts. We were visiting friends of ours and this restaurant was their recommendation. It fills up quickly but worth the wait if there happens to be one. There aren't prices on the menu and our friends treated us so I don't know prices but it's basically like a buffet. You pay one price and eat all you want. The only difference is they bring all the food to you instead of you going up to a buffet. Enjoy!

Always love going to Home Folks. Huge selection of food and it always taste delicious. Most times can get in right away. Sundays there's a bit of a wait.

Truly adorable authentic Southern food restaurant ❤ I am so grateful this kind of family restaurant still exists in the middle of industrial food chain business, as I indeed feel love, hospitality and homey in their food and service! The dessert is typical southern and soooo delicious! Come hungry!!

Good country style food. All you can eat served to your table

Home Folks is the best place in Soddy Daisy. All you can eat, and very well priced. The food is delicious, the servers are fantastic and the owner Rick will come around in his overalls and check with you to see how everything was and shoot the bull with you. I go at least once a week with my neighbor Paul, who is their unofficial official Ambassador. I always leave stuffed and satisfied.

Steak night is a favorite, and hush puppies on Friday are a must.

Every trip MUST be finished with pecan cobbler.

Incredible country cooking. Some of the best food in the greater Chattanooga area. And the customer service was amazing as well. Everyone was friendly and kind. The dressing and country fried steak were my personal favorites. Highly recommend!

The absolute best restaurant with-in 20 miles! My wife and parents all love it, the food is always hot fresh and tasty, served with a smile, and delivered quickly till you’re ready to pop! 10/10 would recommend, don’t miss out!

This was our first time and I was a little confused on how you order, so here's the scoop. This is a all you can eat restaurant. They have a menu and you order anything you want!! It's not a choice of meat and sides brought to the table, each person gets what they want. It's a buffet, but you don't fix your plate. Everything is counting cooking. My favorite was dressing with chicken gravy, the Mexican cornbread, mashed potatoes (with chicken gravy), pinto beans and my wife loved the goulash. Oh and let's not forget dessert!! pineapple pudding :)

The owner, Rick is a wonderful man who has been such a blessing to the Maxwell family. His food is delicious, especially the dressing! If you want great food with a family atmosphere then Home Folks is the place to go!

When you first walk in you are taken back to the good ole’ days with the music. It’s very laid back and welcoming. Our waitress, Echo, was phenomenal!! She was very attentive, friendly and made you feel like you were part of the family. And the amount of the BEST home cooking food was fresh and hot. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and everyone!

This is an excellent country style restaurant! Would definitely be in my top 10 favorite places to eat so far. I really enjoy that you get an experience with your meal. Staff members are welcoming and the food is really good here!

Homefolks is the greatest find! Real down home southern cooking. Their honey stung fried chicken and the pecan cobbler!!! OMG, the best!

Home cooked food in a served buffet style. Mac and cheese is a food group. Service is ok because they get full real quick. Very busy so gotta have a little patience. But, for the most part the wait staff are great. And they have fresh home grown heirloom tomatoes in season. Try them if your in Soddy. If your not make the drive, they're worth the trip.

Stopped by for lunch today during our travels. As of 3/4/2021 you are required to wear a mask to entry and if you walk around.

This is an all you can eat place for one price. This includes the drink and dessert.
First you start by picking any of the meats listed on the menu (about 8 different choices). Yes you can pick 2 or 3, however many you would like. Then the same with the side dishes (8-10 different choices). Then dessert (about 6 choices).
If you have 4 people, all of everyone's choices are placed on the table, which is alot....of food. Kind of wasteful.
You can not take anything home with you. No boxes!
The food was very good. The best being the potato salad, coleslaw and fried shrimp. Blackberry cobbler was absolutely wonderful.
Service was very friendly and fast.

We travel for 45 minutes just to eat at this restaurant. A huge selection of wonderful Southern food, generous portions, good prices, and great wait staff. Well worth the trip.

Great variety of Home Cooking. Excellent comfort food. They have replaced the buffet line with table service which has worked out wonderfully. Very reasonably priced with discounts for seniors. Drinks and dessert are included in the buffet price. Echo our waitress was excellent. In addition to the main menu each day has its own specials. On this I returned visit we arrived shortly after 6:30 p.m. just an hour and a half before closing yet everything was hot or warm and very well prepared. My only regret is they were out of chicken livers but this can happen to anybody. Their ribs are always spot on.
