We have been with them for about 6 years now. They have been wonderful, we have actually had two claims with them, they were terrific on paying and easy to work with. I would recommend them.

Had to call to get someone to come up to the front window even though I was standing there. No way to get someone's attention. Could put a bell or buzzer or something.

We had our home policy with them for 5 years before we had to file a claim due to wind & hail damage on our roof. Initially they told us our total damage was @$500. I asked them who I could hire to repair it for that price and then was told I could hire a roofing engineer to come out and give an estimate (how much would THAT cost me?). The company then explained they hire their own “consultants” to report back what our damage is AND the wind damage consultant is different than the hail damage consultant. Even worse, CFO or President Chad Schuettpelz ended up being EXTREMELY condescending and rude. We had a lengthy conversation in which I tried to explain the satellite dish damage noted in his consultants report was not a good example of my roof damage because it was NOT on my roof, it was a fair distance from our house, and it was protected by our fence. Chad’s response was, “are you saying your house wasn’t hit by hail?” Chad physically visited our house and the passive aggression shown to my husband and roofer we hired continued face to face. Chad is not professional, blatantly rude and somehow has a top position in the company. The storm damage was severe enough that within months more than 40 homes within a 2 block radius (in every direction from my house) had complete roof replacements.

They paid me $23 per hour to install my own roof and never told me I would be paid this low of a rate anywhere. I saved them thousands doing it myself and then they refuse to pay back depreciation value.

We had our farm insurance thru them for twenty-six years, never made a claim and was never late on a payment. This year we got a notice from them canceling our policy, stating our property was in too poor of conditions. We have been improving our property every year, so why weren’t we cancelled along time ago. Beware of where you get your insurance, loyalty with a company will get you nothing.
