Batton Hollow Winery

What a terrific find! We were traveling on our way back from New River Gorge and decided last minute to look for a place to buy a bottle of wine. This place popped up with good reviews so we went for it. Very, very pleased with the wines and walked away with 7 bottles. Owner Jim Kelly walked out to meet us when we pulled in with our motor home. He and the wine manager Dee were welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. What a great find, a true hidden gem!

Absolutely fantastic experience. No charge for tasting. Great wine. Great people. Big area for kids to run around. They even had snacks for my 2 year old. We will be coming back regularly.

If you use gps to get here use maple drive not woodstock. Jim is a really nice guy makin some really good wine go check this place out. Do a wine tasting and see what you want.

Had a party for my daughter here. The owners are incredible the staff is incredible and we felt like we were home !! Thank you for making the party so special ! What an amazing place !

Found my new fav wine here! Visited on Saturday and was greeted by friendly staff and owner, Jim. He took time to sit and chat about wine and family. So welcoming, we plan to go back. The Mascota and Berry Red were awesome!! You have to love the wine, people and atmosphere. Cheers!! 💙🐾🍷

The story of the winery and the owners were amazing. Even my partner who likes beer loved the wine here. They have samples, bottles to go, and u can get a glass there. They have seating for groups of various sizes. They have rocking chairs too. So excited to share my wine and brag about this find.

I had family come in to visit through the week and the owners were nice enough to schedule an appointment for us to go up and do a tasting. They were very welcoming and even put out some cheese and crackers for us. I will definitely be back, they have a great wine, atmosphere and location.

What a lovely surprise! The owners laid on a full tasting of every one of their wines, and were very friendly to boot. The wines are a nice variety of different options, including some fun seasonal choices. A chill Friday afternoon experience with a friendly and welcoming crowd. A highly recommended hidden gem!

This quaint boutique is a gem! Batton Hollow is everything you would expect from a West Virginia Winery. The owner is extremely knowledgeable about his product and enjoys sharing his craft with customers. The rustic atmosphere reflects the natural beauty of West Virginia and the outdoor patio couldn't be more relaxing. The Autumn Spice is a comforting red wine perfect for welcoming in fall. It's a balanced blend of spice and citrus that leave you feeling warm both inside and out. If you haven't put Batton Hollow on your Autumn to do list, you need to do so. Batton Hollow isn't just a winery, it's an experience.

Batton Hollow Winery is a great place to hang out and relax on a Friday and / or Saturday evening. Toni and Jim are very knowledgeable in the wine industry and are producing high quality wines at affordable prices! A great value and venue with down home hospitality.

This place is absolutely amazing! Just a few short minutes from the interstate, but nestled in the country. The wines were wonderful. The folks at Batton Hollow are fantastic, friendly, and fun. We have always had a great time when visiting. We always look forward to going back!

A truly wonderful experience. Small, boutique winery with wonderful service from the owner, who has traveled the world sampling wines to perfect his own. We went to this winery first, before visiting another popular local winery and had to come back to Barton Hollow to buy more bottles since the local competition didn't compare. The Autumn Wine is a spiced wine and is unlike anything I've tasted. Would encourage everyone to visit!

Recently visited from out of town. Hands down the best part of my trip to West Virginia. It’s a small, intimate winery off the beaten path. We were welcomed immediately by the neighbors of the owner and offered wines to taste. We ended up staying at least an hour talking with them and learning a lot about wine and West Virginia.

Great small winery to visit if you are in the area. Have a nice assortment of wines and all are great at an affordable price. Very nice small-town, family atmosphere with wonderful hospitality. For the spring season the Primavera is wonderful but for wines they carry year round the Moscato is my recommendation. I will be visiting again for sure.

The guys were absolutely awesome! It was a very welcoming environment, and they were very knowledgeable of there wines. The wine was very good as well. I'm a sweet wine gal and I was even okay with the drys! I definitely recommend checking it out!

One of the best memories was going to this hidden gem in the mountain mamma while I was living in West Virginia attending WVU. Jim is so nice, personable and welcoming, you will feel home the moment you walk in the winery. The quality of his wines are unparalleled. I have travelled from coast to coast and can definitely tell you the quality he delivers at the price is beyond imagination. Will definitely visit the place next time I’m in WV.

Loved the location, the seasonal wine is sensational flavorful, fruity and delicious, very personable and professional service. We will be ordering, although it maybe a little more. Definatly a nice place to visit!

I have been there a few times and every time everyone is very nice and great wine! It is also a beautiful winery. I recommend anyone who likes dryer wines to go there!
