El Patio Restaurant

My expectation was not very high, just thought we get a quick breakfast and be on our way. Not so... the scrambled eggs and pancakes were perfection!! These people know how good food is made!
Yeah, only four very small tables. But oh, so, worth the wait to sit and enjoy a great meal.

If you ever find yourself in Presidio you need to try this place. Very small, only three inside tables, and so clean. Simple menu. You do have to ask for chips and salsa. We shared the bean, cheese, and meat nachos, as we were eating later. Very good. Salsa has a great flavor.

Outrageously good, authentic Tex-Mex just a stone's throw from the Mexican border. I had the special with a crispy taco and two incredibly good enchiladas. The owner was running around making sure everyone was well taken care of

Really great homemade hamburger and onion rings.
Minor language barriers.

Even though they are renovating, they had the best service we have had since leaving North Texas.
The guys I was with all had burritos and I got the bacon burger with jalapeños.
First I had water! But Victor had a lemonade and the whole table had one too! The best lemonade in the world!

Nachos where really good. Quesadillas where good and way too much to eat if u get the large order. Salsa was hot AF.

Had the special its pretty good. And a slice of delicious chocolate cake.

Quaint place. Authentic food. Nice young waitress but she spoke zero English so we had to point or use our phones for translation. I would definitely eat there again.

Delicious flavors and unique breakfast tacos (compared to the Dallas fare). Very clean and small with, yep, a patio. The ladies were very pleasant and helpful. Wish they were closer. This would be my new go-to.

On a trip home recently from Big Bend, we drove the Beautiful Road between Terlingua and Presidio, and were rewarded by finding El Patio in Presidio! Sparkling clean restaurant, kitchen & restrooms - and oh so fantastic and yummy food! We had the Beef Tacos and El Patio Special and loved every bit of it. Wish we lived closer to enjoy more, but will be back whenever we are anywhere near Presidio! Thank you for an Oasis in the Desert!

Cold beer. Delicious spicy homemade salsa. Authentic red chili enchiladas. It does not get any better than this. Worth the drive.

This place is amazing! Not from here, wish I was this was above satisfactory. Simple but good 🥰👍my stomach is gonna miss El Patio. Try a pancake 🥞

First time I eat here. The huevos rancheros were awesome it has been awhile since someone did it right.

The red enchilada plate is delicious! It's not spicy. They give chips and salsa as an appetizer. The salsa is pretty spicy if you're sensitive. I'd recommend coming here. Great experience.

I loved their lemonade and Chile verde con chicharrón. The lady was super nice and helpful

Great place to get a lunch in Presidio. Service can be slow, but this place has the ambiance of a small town country diner where spending time drinking coffee with your family and friends is more important than turning over tables in 35 minutes flat. Nothing gourmet here, just a solid Mexican diner. Always a must visit when we are in the area. The staff is always friendly, but your mileage may vary if you are a Karen from the big ole city.

Contrary to a few negative comments, we found the food to be excellent, the service quite prompt & courteous. We arrived during the lunch hour, our orders taken immediately and the food arrived in less than 5 minutes. The salsa was obviously homemade and delicious with just the right amount of heat!
We paid and left in less than 30 minutes feeling full and satisfied! Well done Amigos!
