Jen is the nicest, most welcoming person I’ve met in Marfa. She helped my get my small business started and has always been the most supportive of me. That aside, her shop is curated and merchandised so well and she is extremely knowledgeable about vintage fashion and era-pieces. I love this woman and her shop so much, words cannot begin to justify.

Very Bittersweet. I met Jenny and Richard a little more than 2 years ago. When I went into the shop I could not get over how cool and well curated the store was. Jen offered me a great locals discount and I went home excited with my new cool threads. Later, Jen offered me a job in the store. A great family they have I got to see how generous, caring and truly talented Jen and her family are. Her photographs and works are gorgeous, unique and tell inspiring and touching stories. I learned so much about fashion and art from her and Richard. I love Richard's work it's poetry in motion and uplifting to me. And, I'm proud to have a few of his pieces. I will miss them very much. This is just a stop on their amazing journey. And, I can't wait to see the talented Jen's amazing photographs of their next journey and her and Richard's new works. If you have a chance to stop and go to their pop-ups, I guarantee there are gems hidden in them. 💎🌈🌺

A wonderfully curated vintage shop. The owner Jen is super knowledgeable about all of her pieces. I ended up purchasing a gorgeous blue lapis necklace from the 70s and a pair of 80s wide leg denim pants.

This was our first time visiting Marfa and Esperanza Vintage & Art caught me eye while we arrived the first day it was this tote bag. Today was our second day and I’ve always wanted a tote bag especially with me starting college soon and I wanted to have something different instead of a backpack . I’m so happy I purchased this beautiful Art tote bag !! Thank you to the owner Ms. Esperanza for giving me a post card I loved your store so much definitely going to make sure I visit every time we are at Marfa . I think it was after 6:00 I had seen a couple walk out and decided to run back in the store and ask Ms. Esperanza if Richard and her can sign my postcard . Thank y’all so much for y’all’s time and for making my little brother Albert and mine experience so wonderful thank y’all for gifts . Wishing y’all the absolute best in y’all’s careers , y’all were so sweet . My husband and I adore this shop and it’s owners. The selection is incredible and Jenny really took time to share with us her knowledge on local artists, their works, rare vintage finds and a surprisingly large collection of art in all mediums. We may have spent an hour here, combing through every corner of the store. Love this shop! It’s a must when in Marfa!

Esperanza is one of my favorite stores of all time. The owner Jenny is so kind and truly gifted at what she does. I could spend an entire day here looking through all of her incredible vintage finds. Very fair prices as well. Can’t wait to return!

I don't think I could explain fully how awesome of an experience I had in this shop so I'll stick to the thing that stands out to me most. Jennifer is a brilliant savant who knows so much about her trade and is beyond friendly and kind. This was, by far, the best experience in a store I've ever had and I wasn't even there to shop really. I think what I loved so much was that not once did I feel like I was being pressed into a transaction. I felt like Jennifer was my friend there in the shop. She's very professional and encouraging and I'm happy to have connected with her. Even if you just need a confidence boost for the day, visit Esperanza Vintage because she'll have you feeling at home and like you already own whatever you try on like it was secretly a family heirloom for you she was entrusted to keep. Not to mention, she'll totally take rad pics of you in whatever you try on the fly. This store, the products, and its owner are just pure gold.

The most beautiful pieces of art and vintage clothing! Although, the best part was Jennifer the owner! She is one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet. She made our Marfa experience that much better with her genuine, comforting vibes and conversation. She made us feel like we were at home with family! Her eclectic and diverse art/vintage-ware really represented the culture of this one of kind city!! Highly, highly recommend a stop in this store!

We stopped in to peek around at some local vintage during our stay in Marfa. Jenny, the owner, welcomed us and helped us look around. She was has the sweetest soul and we had wonderful conversations. Her husband has some beautiful pieces of art and you can feel the passion in what they both do. I’d highly recommend stopping in for a visit!

I visited the shop today and after my experience I read other reviews and was sorry that I didn’t share the wonderful vibes reported from interactions with the owner. I’m not sure who was working today but it was a lovely young woman behind the counter. I was the only one in the store and when I was about 40 feet from her, she asked me to put on a mask. I kindly complied and told her I didn’t see her sign requesting a mask but I was happy to comply. She seemed to be upset so I asked how she was doing. Her reply was “it doesn’t matter” in a rude way. I did finish looking and purchased a piece but I left with a nasty taste in my mouth. The shop has fun finds and I realize that anyone can have a bad day, but I won’t go back.

I wanted to add an update to my prior review. I had a gracious response from Jennifer and I stopped back in to see her today. She was warm and kind and apologetic for my previous experience. The young woman who was working was having a bad day and unfortunately our wires got crossed. Jennifer was so anxious to make things right that she gave me a beautiful postcard of her Marfa photography( which truly was not necessary and she offered me several) but made me feel great. As I said before, her shop is full of great pieces. I I I will go back next time I’m in Marfa.

I love it here! Jenny is amazing and I like catching up with her when I visit. I’ve stopped by the store on our way back to Austin. She was able to find me a jacket that fit me perfectly. This is more than a vintage shop, it’s a place where I can be myself! Good selection of clothes and a truly awesome owner! Can’t wait to be back!

Let’s just say...one of a kind. A one of a kind space, owned and operated by a one of a kind family, sharing their creativity and knowledge by offering one of a kind vintage clothing and art, in a one of a kind town! I’m a repeat customer and admiring fan of their work creating and curating all things art. I have to mention this vintage boutique because I first came to her store a year ago before Texas and well the world shut down from COVID. I bought beautiful pieces that I still wear today and came back a year later to only fine more beautiful vintage clothing and bigger store. It’s always nice to come to Marfa and make friends and talk to the locals of what goings down in their town. Go here for unique finds and great conversation!! Brody and I will be back!! Love this place! A million stars!!

Jennifer Esperanza is a multi-talented, multi-faceted gem of a person. It is an honor to be an artist represented by her in her Marfa gallery. She is amazingly driven and very supportive of the artists she represents, while introducing buyers to objects they find connection with and will cherish eternally. Her genuinely kind demeaner and easy accessibility bring a warmth to, and transcend the artist/gallerist relationship and her support over the years has been a joyful experience I value dearly.

Great shop with truly unique vintage pieces! We're talking 19th century and 20th century gems. Good prices for handmade treasures! Don't pass it up. There are nice smaller pieces too for little gifts.
