Coaches Corner Sports Bar & Grill

We are on a cross country trip from California to South Carolina and are spending a day exploring Wetumpka. We enjoyed shopping in the charming downtown area, and finished the day with an excellent dinner at Coaches Corner Sports Bar & Grill. My wife ordered a Chicken House Salad and proclaimed it "excellent." I had the Fajita Stuffed Potato and also proclaim it excellent. The queso really tied the dish together adding a lot of flavor and moisture. It could have done without the lettuce as it really didn't enhance the dish, in my opinion. But I would go to Coaches Corner again and would not hesitate to order the Fajita Stuffed Potato. It was quite satisfying. Finally, our server was outstanding! She was enthusiastic and helpful. She checked on our table several times throughout our meal. Great food and great service make for a fantastic dining experience!

Perfect place for large gatherings with TVs everywhere and a nice outside screened in area. Wings are .75 and some of the best I’ve ever had. A variety of flavors and everything we had at the table was delicious. Will definitely be back and can’t wait to try something else.

Great food as always. The pork rinds were still popping when they came out. The southwest burger was huge and delicious. We also love the ranch at the table. That should be a requirement in every restaurant. I don't remember them having. Curly fries last time, so I think those are new, if so I highly recommend them. The servers were quick, attentive and nice. Great place to have a meal.

This is a fun little place to go. You can sit inside or outside but it's all glassed off so you're not actually outside. Atmosphere is fun and the are the waiters and waitresses. I have cold beer on tap and regular beer and bottle. There's also featured in a famous TV show. The downtown area that it's in is very nice and fun to just walk around. We go there on Thursday nights when it's all you can eat wings. $15 for all you can eat. Other nights have like all you can eat fish and several other things throughout the week. Go give it a try and some great place to eat and have a good time.

We went there because of tv show Home Town w Ben & Erin. Saw the Fish house, the Farmers market park and finally Coaches Corner. Family oriented, wonderful place to have comfort food. With 2 hurricane drinks $45 very reasonable, fast and great service.

Pretty good burgers, lil over cooked but atmosphere and service were spot on, we'll be back if we vacation this way again.

Great restaurant over looking the river. Came here because of “hometown”. Food was great portions very large for the price. Good variety of food. Staff was very good. Place was crowded yet did not seem to loud. We sat on the deck at the largest bar in Alabama, overlooking the river. Highly recommend

We had lunch on the newly remodeled patio. The view of the river and bridge was great. I had the Big Daddy Stuffed Burger with tots, described as “char-grilled double beef patty stuffed with American and swiss cheese, real bacon bits and grilled onions, Topped with lettuce tomato, onion and pickle.” Very good and delivered hot. Wife had the patty melt with onion rings. Sandwich was excellent and she particularly enjoyed the onion rings.

I didn't get to sit by the windows, but the little I saw let me know the view was great. The service was friendly and quick. There is a lot of good food for the money spent.

What a pleasant surprise! I set my expectations low believing since they were featured on HGTV's Home Town Makeover, it would be touristy, expensive and not very good. Boy was I wrong.

First, the parking lot was full and a lot of locals were there - always a good sign. They were very busy but even so, our server got to us within a reasonable amount of time. Once she got our order, the food came out so quick and boy was it good. I did the seafood basket and I couldn't eat it all. My wife did the greek salad and she said it was so good, it didn't even need the dressing. The prices were quite reasonable. I'd go back here in a heartbeat.

You'll notice I did a review for the Coosa Cleaver - just down the road. We paid twice the price at the Cleaver but enjoyed Coaches Corner ten times as much. If you have to choose between the two, go to the Corner!

I was craving a burger while visiting Wetumpka and stopped in here. I ordered the Swiss mushroom burger and added bacon. It was excellent. The bun was really delicious. Well priced and generous portions. Nice clean place with excellent service. My booth had a view of the river.

My wife saw this place on tv and it actually was really good. We tried the tangy bbq wings and the queso fries. They were both delicious. Would love to try more of the wing flavors. My wife had a half and half tea and said it was fresh and really good. Atmosphere was nice. Even saw the mayor.

Nice sport bar, good prices and size of plates.

Newly remodeled right in old town Wetumpka, AL. We ate here twice during our visit to Wetumpka. Friendly staff and nice menu with good food. Sit out in their new enclosed patio and enjoy the view while dining. Highly recommend this place.

I visited this place while I was in Wetumpka 3 times and all 3 times the food was good.
The waitress are super friendly and do an awesome job. Lori was the best out of the 3 we had. She was super friendly and was really on it.
The first night we had the all you can eat wings for $12. They came out with 10 first the 8 at a time after that. The flavors were good and some were better than others. The Lemon Pepper wet were the best that we tried. The BBQ was overloaded with BBQ. The other flavors they had was just poured on the wings. I think they would have been better and had more flavor if the wings were seasoned better. Lori was our waitress that night.
The second night I had the chicken quesadilla. It was the best one I have had. They brought out 2 so it was more than enough to eat. The down side was it came with lettuce and tomatoes, but they were not cut up small enough to use. I just covered them in Ranch and ate it like a salad. The beer was cold and good. AG was the waitress that night.
The third time we wnet, I ordered the shrimp and grits and 10 wings on the side. The wings were .69 cents each that night. The shrimp and grits were really good and had good flavor. The wings were better the third time.

Coaches Corner hands down has the best burger in the state. We got there late and the 5 star staff waited until after closing time for us to finish the meal with no interruptions.. I highly recommend eating here, thank you for an awesome dining experience.

Just so happened to come on steak night- legitimately an awesome meal at a great price. Great mixed drinks as well. Definitely a place that you need to check out.

Great place to eat! Reasonable prices with a happy hour. Every time I have been, it was full, or filling up. You might have to wait for a table if you go when they are busy.

Exactly what we hoped to find. We on the enclosed deck at the longest bar in Alabama built by Ben Rapier. The food was great, staff excellent. View mesmerizing.

The food was excellent, I had blackened shrimp with fried green tomatoes. The noise level was a little loud but not bad for a sports bar. Wait staff was very good.
