Tortora's Wood Fired Grille

First time there. The food was great, and so was Emily, our server. She worked hard.

This is such a an awesome place, the food is always top notch. My favorite thing is that they cook their salmon by temp. Such high quality salmon and sushi grade, I always get mine medium with the fried Brussels and mashed potatoes. The wait staff is always super attentive, quick and always have awesome recommendations for wine! If you're looking for a good date night spot or just an empty bar seat to chill it's a great restaurant through and through.

The food was exceptional! The service was exceptional! And the hostess was absolutely exceptional! Next time we are in the area we will definitely go back there.

You can't go wrong with any item at this place. And, the staff are great. Specially, Jessie - who we look forward to seeing every time.

Our second time here and it was as good as the first. The pork chop was maybe better than my husband was even expecting, and he had pretty high expectations. The sauce on my chicken pasta (Zorbino) was great as well. We ate both looking forward to the leftovers. Bartender Jessie (sp?) was soooo attentive, and she seems to really enjoy her job, which is great to see. The drive over from Madison is worth it!

I’ve been going to Tortoras for about five years and can say it’s one of my favorite restaurants. The atmosphere is perfect for anyone who wants a really cool vibe with low lighting and an amazing waitstaff. The staff is extremely hospitable thanks to Jessie’s amazing leadership and Jenas bartending. My favorite dishes to get are the Tuscan Chicken and the Salmon ala Zucchini. The zucchini noodles are amazing and you can order the salmon to temp.

Outstanding! Our server was knowledgeable with great recommendations. Food and drinks were impeccable. Busy, but worth the wait!

The food was awesome. Ordered the spicy pasta but do not like shrimp and the waitress was more than helpful to get it with chicken.

As you can see I did not have to search for the meat. Hate when I pay for eating at a nice place and you end up with just a few small pieces of protien and have to search for that. Not a problem on any of the dishes we ordered here.

We ordered calamari and some kind of peppers for a appetizer but was so good it was gone before I remembered to take a picture 😁.

We ordered dessert and as you can see the small is more than enough for us all to enjoy.

I had the gemignani which is one of their neo neopolitian pizzas and is cooked in the wood fired oven. It had mozzarella and gorgonzola cheese with prosciutto which gave it a real smoky flavor. It was topped with arugula and a balsamic reduction drizzle. The pizza was really good and the service was fantastic.

This was our first visit. Our server Jen was very prompt and friendly. We had portabella shrimp and zorbino, and enjoyed the lasagna dip as well. A really neat place with a warm cozy feel inside. We will be back to try the pizza next time.

Staff was awesome. They turned on the Dodger game for me. Order a simple cheese, mushroom, jalapeño pizza and it was glorious. Definitely a spot to eat and have a couple beers whilst watching the game.

I've been coming to Tortora's Grille for a little over a year. I should preface this review by saying that I'm always here late (after 8). That being said, let me say that the food is amazing. The Zorbino is my go-to dish, but the pastas, pizza, and steaks are also very good. The fried ravioli and meatball appetizers are also excellent.

The service, however, varies. I typically sit at the bar, and while there are many people behind the bar, there's typically only one bartender, and she's usually pretty busy, and caters to the regulars before unfamiliar faces. Not to the point of being a nuisance, but noticably so. The entire staff is attentive, accommodating, and polite. I can say the same for the original Tortoras family restaurant.

Prices are reasonable for the area, and portions are generous. All in all, Tortora's has excellent food at good prices. What's not to love?

This has been by far the best restaurant I’ve ever been to. As soon as I opened the door, my family and I were greeted with a happy and warm hello and seated quickly. Our server(s) were amazing and spot on. The whole staff was amazing to be exact! I ordered water, mozzarella sticks (came with 6 but I ate one before taking the picture) , and the chicken parm. My mom had the lasagna . The food was AMAZING !!! The presentation of the food , portion size , food temp , everything .. Amazing ! The bartender , who I think was the manager , noticed that I was having trouble shaking the grated parmesan out of the shaker and left the bar what seemed to be immediately, to bring me another one! I didn’t think I was being that obvious trying to shake the cheese apart but she brought a full shaker to me right away. Even though the restaurant was small it was nothing short of amazing with the details ! Instead of water pitchers, chilled wine bottles filled with water were brought to the table with nice small what I would call whiskey glasses and the servers still came to the table to pour a full glass for us . Each table had a appetizer stand , a lantern with copper salter & pepper shakers , grated parmesan and crushed red peppers . They were very busy while we were there so it took a while for our entrees to arrive . The manager/bartender noticed and decided to treat us to dessert on the house to make up for the time . I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant and will most definitely be back ! It would be a nice place to have a nice intimate party for a celebration. Very nice and clean establishment.

The reason I gave four stars only on atmosphere was bc it was extremely chilly in the restaurant, but besides the cold temperature, it was great. You shouldn't have to keep your coat on through your meal. No need for it to be that cold inside when you're trying to relax, enjoy your company and meal.

This is another of those places you see, but never try because it doesn't "look right" based on the location. Tucked into a strip mall-like area behind a grocery store, Tortoras is hard to miss unless you're looking for it. When you finally find it, though, your nose will tell you that you're in the right place for good food!
We don't go that often, but we rarely go out at all. Tortoras is one of our "haunts" and is always on the consideration list. The food and service are always good in our experiences. Everything is cooked perfectly, even the salmon, and fills that comfort food craving while not being too heavy. The price point is perfect- I get 2 meals out of most of the dishes there and I'm 6'3"!
Look them up and try them out. Go early: they fill up on Fridays by 530!

Best Italian in Huntsville hands down. We tried it for the first time today and we will definitely be back. I had the Tuscan chicken pasta. Perfection. Great atmosphere for the whole family.

Great chicken parm and chicken Alfredo. Freshly made and the servings were generous. The tables are really close together and it was busy for a weekday. Will return, looking forward to trying their wood fired pizza 🍕

Cozy side with outdoor seating along with Great Food! Portion sizes are huge.. Service is Outstanding. Full service bar with nice Wine list.
