Excellent food and cooked to perfection. This place is hidden and has excellent outside seating area. The view over the lake was spectacular. The only thing that was not up to our expectations was the baked stuffed haddock with lobster stuffing. Very little stuffing, otherwise it was tasty. Deserts are huge and very yummy.

I've been hearing for years about how amazing this place is and how I simply have to go here. I wish I had listened sooner. I vacation here every year but it's hard to fit everything into one week. I will never skip the Ledges again though after my wonderful dinner last night. What an experience! Many of my friends spend their Anniversaries here and I completely understand the mystique now. The view of Newfound Lake from the Ledges Steakhouse is simply extraordinary, especially as the sun is setting. The establishment itself is simply adorable. It is so tastefully decorated and landscaped. You can tell the owners take a great deal of pride of ownership and it comes across in the quality of the food too. The staff was amazing and attentive even though they were incredibly busy. But the real reason for the 5-star rating (I'd give 10 stars if I could), is simply the food itself. I have frequented many steakhouses over the years, and I can say with all honesty that this was the best steak I have ever had. It's often that you find the most incredible food off the beaten path and this place is no exception. It is in a small town not really known for its culinary establishments and it's hidden up the side of a hill. In my opinion, those are the best finds, and this was the perfect example of a hidden gem. Don't miss out on the Ledges because you are denying yourself one of the best culinary delicacies in the entire Lakes Region of NH ... and don't even get me started on those delectable desserts!

Ledge Water is without a doubt the nicest steak house in the Lakes Region (better than The New Woodshed - not even close), and it has the best views of any of the nicer dining establishments. The staff is great, very kind, not snooty at all. I had the lamb, my wife had the stuffed shrimp. One of our guests had the Lion’s Mane mushroom - everything was great. The salads were tasty; lettuce wedge and Caesar. They were gluten free (“gf”) aware and there were great options. The desserts are w Enormous. Like the size of pizzas. Giant, good looking cakes (no GF option, hey it happens).

It was girls night out, so we each started with a sidecar, which is my new favorite cocktail. As a matter of fact, my husband is getting the ingredients as I write this review. Friend had the tuna appetizer as a meal and I had the lobster stuffed haddock. The portions were large enough that we had the second half of our meal as lunch the next day. They had several daily specials to chose from also, and some very tempting desserts. We kept each other strong and said no.

We went here last night for our anniversary dinner and everything was fantastic! My drink was wonderful, all of our food was fresh, beautifully prepared, and our steaks were fantastic! My husband is EXTREMELY picky about his steaks and likes them extremely rare. I usually hate when he orders steak at restaurants because even just a typical rare is too done for him and he sends it back. Last night, though, his ribeye was cooked PERFECTLY and was seasoned to perfection. The view was wonderful, our waitress was funny, attentive, and personable. If you're looking for a great meal at a quality restaurant with great service and a fantastic view of Newfound Lake (on the outdoor seating deck), then definitely call up Ledgewater and make reservations. Absolutely worth every penny!

It's very much a quintessentially New England steakhouse: perfect balance of environment, food is always exactly how you ordered it, and the staff are down to earth/pleasant. Highly recommend, and I only ate the sides (vegan) as a meal. My entire party enjoyed our visit!

We went for dinner and sat at the bar. We ordered scallops with bacon app, hand cut filets, baked and mashed potatoes. The food was delicious and prepared perfectly - similar to the best restaurants in Boston. Sitting at the bar provides a beautiful lake view. Brayton provided excellent service and is very friendly and personable. You can tell he enjoys bar tending! The prices were reasonable to a little high. The drinks were delicious, but served in small glasses. They had an incredible dessert menu, that was very tempting, but we were stuffed so we didn't order a dessert, but will save room next time! Go early, or make reservations.

AMAZING! Meals were phenomenal (petite filet with sauteed mushrooms and Baked potato) most desserts were meal worthy, as in I recommend eat dessert there and order the meal to go. The creme brulee was just right size ... Mmmm and we were too late ordering a melting ball Carmel ice cream cup cake, so order Early .. a great reason to go back

Great food, great drinks, great view! I love this place! I can't wait for it to open in late spring, and I am always sad when they're done for the season in September. Make sure to make a reservation if you plan on getting a table!

Very good food. Our party had the prime rib, lamb chops, seafood stuffed shrimp and tuna steak for entrees. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We also had the crab cakes and bacon wrapped shrimp skewers for appetizers. Delicious. Side salads and side dishes were tasty too.

Desserts were great. Many choices to choose from, all made there. Be warned that the dessert serving is enormous. But that just meant we were able to enjoy our desserts again the next day.

Our waitress was friendly and attentive.

We enjoyed our dining experience.

We have been here twice for special occasions and have not been disappointed. From the moment you step in the door the staff is warm and welcoming. They have gone out of their way each time I have visited, to meet our needs and requests. Our steaks were cooked perfectly on point and the view of the lake just makes you dinner experience that much better.

Only get here once a year on vacation, but it is worth the wait. We have never been disappointed in a meal. Or dessert. I always get the filet mignon and it is the best piece of meat I ever eat. Cooked to perfection. If you can eat out on the deck at sunset please do. Spectacular. Reservations are a must for eating outside.

Delightful setting. Excellent drinks. We sat at the bar since the restaurant was fully booked but were still able to enjoy an excellent view of the bay. My wife is a vegetarian and was prepared to make do with a salad but the chef was happy to accommodate with a range of off-the-menu veggie options. My steak was perfectly cooked. Portions were well sized. My only complaint was that the steamed broccoli was overcooked and a little mushy. Otherwise a wonderful experience.
