Great outdoor hiking parking lot. I hiked mnt Carrigan and the views were stellar on the firetower! You can see basically all the white mountains and with a hike of about 10 miles and 3000' vertical climb, the hike is medium hard for most.

Arguably the best view in the White Mountains on top of My Carrigan. It'll probably be windy so bring some extra layers. If your looking to backpack I highly recommend staying at one of the sites at the intersection of desolation trail and Carrigan notch trail.

Great place to park in order to hike Mt. Carrigain.

I took Signal Ridge Trailhead to Vose Spur. It's a very different hike than the scenic trek to Mount Carrigain. Roughly four miles into the hike you begin a bushwhack to the summit. There is a herd path for a portion of the bushwhack but you really have to ve experienced at bushwhacking to fi d tge actual summit. Ghe views aren't the best but it is a rewarding hike.

What can I say about a parking lot for a trailhead? Be nice if it was a little larger? It's smooth and comfortable to drive on? The parking spots are not lined? Because its dirt. But Google wanted me to rate it so I am. In all seriousness, it's a perfectly fine parking lot. Not large enough for peak days but fine for most other times. Note that the access road is closed in the winter. Check the National Park Service to see if it's open. It does not close on the same day every year.
