Bob’s BBQ is a local honey hole!

If you are driving by, don’t even question your self—PULL OVER! The locals know they are blessed and believe me I’m jealous! My husband and I travel often and always plan to stop here for a late lunch when we are traveling south on 81 during their open season!

The brisket, the pulled pork, the ribs, the salt potatoes, the sauces—need I go on! You are getting your moneys worth here people, what more can I say! Just be sure to specify what type of Brisket you prefer; fatty or lean. My husband and I always leave with our belly’s bursting and a frown that we don’t live closer! I can’t forget to mention that they even have a few dessert options as well.

The atmosphere is so fun and enjoyable. There are hidden tables spread out across the property and places for even kids to play! Feel free to eat in the more communal areas, where you can spy on your neighbors meaty selections—or explore the grounds and discover hidden, well landscaped, secret garden spots—for a quieter afternoon picnic. Get out and support your local pit masters people, this place is pure meaty BBQ gold!

This is a great short trip up 281 after getting off 81 in Homer. A little pricey but worth it. See for yourself on the menue pics I took today (May 18.) This is as good as anything as I had anywhere in the south or midwest. YES! The atmosphere is quite cool as there are picnic tables privately dispersed throught a well manicured out door area. Its almost as if you are camping temporarily. Very private yet very public. It is a nice change of pace. They do cater as well as they have a large covered paved area for rent so you know it's a good place for a huge get together. It is nice not having to drive to the south for great outdoor true bbq.

Another excellent meal at Bob's BBQ! No wait. Pleasant service. Great food. We got a brisket platter, a pulled pork platter, and a pork ribs platter. The salt potatoes are a must, as is the corn on the cob. Their cornbread was outstanding. Family-friendly, park-like atmosphere. A local favorite.

This was my son and I first time at Bobs.. we thought this barbeque pit was Awesome.. From the great friendly service to having a an excellent dinner to the outdoor seating.. The prices are worth the meal.. Bobs is real !!! not a box restaurant.. one of a kind !!

When you see a roadside stand you may question the choice but Bob's BBQ was great. Portions were huge. My wife and I shared a combo and we were both full. Plenty of parking and lots of places to eat outside in their garden areas. Restroom look like Port John's but have toilet and flushes. Outside sink to wash up. Very pleasant stop you will not be disappointed.

I wanted to go again the next night. So happy Bob's is open for the season. Worth the 26 minutes we waited in line! The BBQ chicken. Us so good!

On the way to Ithaca so we had to stop! Yum yum smoky deliciousness!The only bad thing was the skeeters coming for you when you're eating outside. It'd be sweet if they could build a nice chow house, but other than the bugs the outdoor area is quite nice.

Always stop through, whenever possible, traveling from Ithaca. Food is sooo good. Their staff of courteous young people keep the place movin' & groovin', cooking up the food, serving the customers and making everyone feel welcomed. Totally worth driving the few extra miles through Homer before jumping on 81.

Great BBQ...people and atmosphere. Outside benches to enjoy a nice summer day. Covered areas for when it rains. Will definitely go back.

It's. An outdoor bbq, great place to get real food. Worth the stop. If passing through the area. Good brisket and potato salad.

On trip down from Rochester. Perfect stop for my hubby, myself, and our almost three year old. Food delicious. Wonderful outdoor dining in park like setting. Cute play area.

Finally visited after moving to the area a year ago and hearing about it from a friend. We definitely should have gone sooner. The 1/2 chicken was phenomenal - wonderfully spiced and tender. The brisket had a great smokey flavor and perfect texture. All the homemade sides (cornbread, potato salad, baked beans, and salt potatoes) were some of the best I've had. Not just in NY, but anywhere in the country.

Great food! Tastes just like you made it at home! The strawberry shortcake was yummy!! Lovely park like outdoor seating area to enjoy your food as well!

We stumbled across this place while exploring Cortland by seeing signs on the side of the road. It was definitely busy then so we decided to try it before our vacation ended. It is an open building with 20 feet of grills. They take your order and gather your order in an assembly-line fashion in a styrofoam container. We ate outside on one of their various picnic tables. Trees separate each table well enough that there is privacy. There are also two pavilions and a play area for the kids. Music played in the background. Such a great atmosphere. Now, the food is also very good. Ribs tender, bbq sauce tomato based and sweet. Husband also tried their brisket and said it was one of the best he's had. The chicken breast/wing with a taste of sauce was not dried out. He liked the baked beans as it was thick. The corn bread muffin also very good, a bit sweet and moist. If you are in the area, check this place out!!

5 stars for service and quality of food and price. My suggestion though is expect to wait awhile on a nice weekend day. We didn't expect to see such long lines and limited parking. But given the quality of the food. I get it. We ordered a big box with a 1/2 Chicken 2 Ribs Mac Salad Coleslaw and Beef Brisket. It came with a roll and butter and 4 of us were able to share it and gobbled it up! We found a nice seating area outside and enjoyed our meal before leaving also there are no regular bathrooms but...surprisingly clean porta potty.

Food was awesome, generous portions. Great vibe. Quick service! Eat in is eating at outdoor picnic area.

My family and I would come here from time to time when it’s summer, I’ve always got the Hoffman hot dogs but I recently tried the pulled pork sandwich and it was absolutely amazing! It’s juicy and savory, not sweet like some recipes do but I like it without the sweetness. 10/10 would have again

Best vendor for our wedding!! We got SO many compliments on the great food. They were easy to work with and the food was awesome. A lot of restaurants don't cook well in big batches for catering, but they brought food for 125 people (chicken, brisket, pulled pork and sides) and it was just as good as the individual plates we've had in the past. Genuinely good people that make genuinely tasty BBQ!
