Pemigewasset Overlook

When we visited New Hampshire recently, we wanted to drive on the famous Kankamagus scenic route and we found this picturesque spot en route. It had snowed the previous night, so it was chilly but beautiful. The views of the mountains were exceptional and we got some wonderful pictures. This scenic spot has parking available and was free to visit. We also checked out the Rocky Gorge scenic viewpoint on the same route and that was amazing as well!

Picturesque stop to see the sprawling landscape. There are restrooms and a gazebo to sit and enjoy the views.

Beautiful view of the mountains busy area during the day nice and quiet and dark at night. Sleep like a baby except when it rains. On clear night, you'll see the most beautiful sky. On a full moon night, it's so bright You can read a book

Every angle you get to take these mountains in from is breathtaking, no matter the season or the crowds. Late Sept-early Nov is always busy with everyone wanting to see the same view. This is more of a popular spot, but patience is a virtue.

On occasion there is an art class held on the adjacent lawn or under the gazebo- beautiful place to experience.

It’s a beautiful spot just to take in the scenery. There’s a large gazebo if you need to get out of the weather or sunshine. There’s also facilities you can use and plenty of parking (most of the time). Great place to watch the sunset.

Gorgeous. Visited on a cloudy June day and enjoyed the views and met some friendly fellow bikers. Wasn't super busy, plenty of parking and they have restrooms available; though we didn't use them.

An absolute must on the Kancamagus Highway, this lookout is perfect for a sit down lunch. Tons of parking and incredible view of the stars when the clouds are gone. Highly recommend for fresh air, beautiful views, and serotonin.

Always a Great view of The mountains and cloud cover in the morning's are Beautiful! I Love the Morning sunrise from the one just on you way down on the left side of starting to head back down from the highest point towards North Conway side!

Such an amazing view. Would visit again. Do keep in mind there's no Internet on the entire highway.

We really enjoyed the foggy view of the mountain’s, it was drizzling that day. The clouds hovering over the mountains created such a scenic view. this place has free parking and restrooms available

Absolutely breath taking any time of the year. We visited in February and the snowy peaks were so beautiful. If you get a chance i would definitely take time to visit the overlook.

Great view! Restroom and parking are handicap accessible. Time it right and get a gorgeous sunset!

Wow such an awesome view a must visit. If you do make sure you have a 4×4 to make it in the park.

This view point was beautiful. We luckily got a spot to park without any wait, but because of the cloudy weather our view wasn't that great.

The Kancamangus highway is a great drive .. lots of pull offs with stunning views.. beware of the bugs.. lots and lots of bugs! Sun set was beautiful!

Great view and wonderful fall colors. TRAFFIC sucked, took 1:30hr from Lincoln to here and way back was more than 2 hours so we took Conway route which end up being same amount of time. Fall color traffic, I guess.

Great views. Nice pavilion with benches. Watch out for hidden ice on walking paths during winter.
