1st time here
I was looking for a nice Chinese restaurant around this area for a long time and found this ( my friend recommended
Ordered on lunch spl chongqin chicken with fried rice with hot and sour soup
Was delicious and impressed with the taste 👅
Food was fresh, authentic and tasty
Rate was very nominal
Location is easily accessible
Will definitely try a different menu again here highly recommend for Chinese food lovers

Regular at First Wok for many years and love their food, on both the regular and Chinese menu. Beautiful decor inside and have hosted birthday parties and other celebrations here. The front staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I love coming here!

It was my first time at this restaurant. We dined in and got the Chef’s special Lomein and General Shrimp. Everything was amazing! Highly recommend checking this out and dining in!

Delicious General Tso’s Tofu with fresh broccoli, plenty of white rice, and lots of other menu options! Waitress was funny and nice.

Food is exceptionally good for the price point. The staff is always friendly and attentive. They take pride in the comfort and satisfaction of their customers. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I’ve been ordering from here for years but the last couple times I’ve gotten food it’s been absolutely slaying. The wontons in the soup are incredibly delicate with fresh scallions. I’m not sure if they got a new chef or someone to run the kitchen but if they did, it shows because it’s somehow better than before.

Went with a large group of 70 people. Food and service were very good. Have gotten take out there also and it was always good.

Best Chinese food in the area without a doubt. You can tell the ingredients are high quality, and everything is rich in flavor. While we do takeout often, we also love dining in because the staff is friendly and the seating is quite comfortable. Highly recommend the honey walnut shrimp, moo shu vegetable, pineapple fried rice, miso fish, and green tea ice cream!

When I was a young man I loved Chinese restaurants. Over the past twenty years, it seemed to me like it had gotten harder and harder to find a good one. Many places these days serve bland, overly sweet dishes. I wondered if it was only my tastes which had changed, perhaps I just didn't like Chinese food anymore

First Wok brought me back to the days of Chinese food I remembered from so long ago. The food here is outstanding, and outside of two other places in Washington DC near where I live and work, I haven't had anything like it in more than 20 years.

They have the old familiar Chinese American staples, executed to a very high level, plus there are more traditional dishes available for those that know and love them. They accommodate special requests within reason. The atmosphere was pleasant, the restaurant is clean and neat and the service is quick, attentive and friendly without being obtrusive.

We had General Tso's Chicken, Crispy Beef, Lamb with Spinach in Hot Sauce, and my friend had Beef Fried rice, which I didn't sample

The General Tso's was a nearly perfect rendition of the dish. Crispy flavorful, dark meat chicken chunks, delicious sauce that was sweet, but not cloying or one-dimensional. I could have stood for just a bit less sauce, and just a bit more heat, though it was anything but bland. I'll ask for extra spicy next time.

Crispy Shredded beef is an easy dish to do well, but First Wok does it very, very well, an essentially flawless example of a dish that's usually at least decent anywhere, elevated beyond the ordinary.

But the star of the show for me was the Lamb and Spinach in Hot Sauce. This was probably the best thing I'll eat this month. This was spicier than the other dishes, but I have a decent threshold for heat. I found it to be warm but very manageable, others may find it fairly hot, but it probably won't overwhelm any but the most tender-tongued diners. Perfumed with szechuan peppercorn, which gives a pleasant tingling or numbing sensation on top of the kick of the peppers, this dish was so good I would have eaten it off of the floor ! Unless you can't stand lamb, spinach, peppers or delicious food, get this.

This is a restaurant I will definitely return to, you owe it to yourself to give it a try !

Food is delicious! I got chicken with eggplants in garlic sauce. Compound chicken is delicious as well. Definitely recommend to come.

We've been going there for take-out over many years. Always good food at affordable prices. All the people there are very friendly. One of the most reliable restaurants in the whole area.

This is our go-to Chinese place. I hate fried rice in my eggs and this place always gets my modification correct! Excellent and quick service and food is delicious!

Cozy ambiance, wonderful food, and wonderful service. Unlike all the other Chinese restaurants, this place uses very little oil so none of the dishes are greasy and very little salt. There are quite a few healthy dishes you can get. It’s kind of like eating at home for me 😄

Been coming here quite often since 2021. The restaurant is very clean and the service is very attentive. Would recommend the sichuan chicken dishes if you like spicy and all of the vegetable dishes and dumplings are quite great as well. And ask for the green tea ice cream if you love dessert, it’s very good.

Good local Chinese restaurant with many menu choices and friendly and efficient service. We eat here frequently and it is a first choice for take out also. We always get more at dine-in so we can take home for the week.

The owner was super nice enough to wait on me running late to pick up food during a recent snowstorm as they were closing. My first time. Then i got home and ate some of the most delicious Chinese food anywhere. This is NOT your local takeout. Most delicious Wonton soup I ever had in my life. Happy customer for life.

My family and I go here often for their lunch specials which are quite good. I'm surprised by the negative reviews but we speak Mandarin and English and haven't had any issues with service or ordering the right dish. There's a complimentary small bowl of soup and fried dough chips (pass on the latter). We often get the beef stir fried with green onions or the fish with vegetables and both are always excellent. The beef is tender and super flavorful. The price can't be beat. Is this a five star haute cuisine restaurant? No. But it's a pretty darn good regular Chinese restaurant. Also their bathrooms are super clean.

Went for my dads birthday. Food was delicious. We brought a cake and they sang happy birthday too. Small things go a long way.
