When we arrived we were the only ones there but soon a few more parties came in. There was one waitress on duty and she was absolutely amazing. She was attentive to our needs, and answered all our questions.
The owner even came out to make sure everything was good and we had to say it was exceptional! With all of the closing of businesses in the area, the Thirsty Moose 🫎 is worth the drive to Childwold

Always thankful to have any place nearby during the field research season to kick back and enjoy some ice water and a hot meal, this place goes above and beyond that. Stopped in towards closing to few people in the restaurant and was met with a smile from the bartender and a gesture to have a seat! I placed my order and it was done to my exact specifications in a timely manner. The owners were friendly, helpful, and personable and just great company overall. Glad I decided to stop in and recommend to anyone hungry or thirsty!

We are local and this is our go to restaurant/bar. The owners are kind and welcoming and the wait staff is stellar. The food is always delicious and one time I ordered something I ended up not liking and they brought me a free burger -- there was NOTHING wrong with the food, just not to my taste. The bar is Adirondack vintage cool and has everything you could want for libations. Conversation is readily available and friendly. Great location for snowmobilers -- right on the main trail through the region and lovely little camper cabins to take the night chill off.

This was an awesome place! Such a great find. The food servings are great size, and the price was excellent! The owners were on hand and take pride in their food and their restaurant.

This was some of the most delicious food we had in all of the adirondacks. I would definitely recommend you check this place out. Staff was friendly, facilities were clean and service was quick. They clearly take pride in what they do.

Finally stopped in and was super glad we did. Cool space, especially the half circle bar. Bartender/server was great. No draft beer but a good selection of bottles and cans. Food was solid. Can't wait to make it back

This is exactly the kind of experience I was hoping for while eating out in the Adirondacks, everything was magnificent down to the sweet potato fries and he was on top of everything! Highly recommended.

A cosy and warm retreat that serves amazing food and a great selection of drinks. Fun bar games including pool and darts, along with a jukebox.

Pizza and Buffalo Wings were great! Stayed late with the owners Jim and Sharlene, they were great company. Spent the night in one of there 5 cabins, very comfortable and affordable.

Nice little place that really hit the spot for us after a day of hiking. The food was really good. The service was very upbeat and kind!

Fun spot off the highway to grab a drink and some eats. Staff were really good with the kids and extremely friendly. Awesome value for what you get.

Everything was excellent. Neat little cabins. Amazing food. You can't go wrong. They also sell gas cheap. A must around Cranberry Lake. 💕

The food was hot and delicious. We were there at lunchtime. I had the fish sandwich and fries. Some of the best fries that I've had. The piece of fish was huge and crispy. My husband had the Philly style grilled chicken sandwich and he said it was good. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Can't wait to go for dinner so I can try the grilled salmon!

Sonya (did I remember her name correctly?) was the only server/bartender on duty the afternoon we arrived, yet she still provided great service with all the incoming sled traffic!! The kitchen staff (owners from what we heard) did great too. We were first time customers and will be back soon enough.

Always a must-stop place when I am in the area. Friendly and attentive staff and great ring swing game on the wall.

Stayed here with my husband for our honeymoon. Cabins were just what we needed. Highly recommend there food. Everything we ate was phenomenal! Got to meet some amazing people and owners are very nice people. We plan to come back every anniversary now.

Passing through upstate NY when we spotted this gem. Great couple of sandwiches, bonus conversation and we got to watch the beer fridge getting repaired. I recommend the Thirsty Moose Pub.

Awesome service, excellent selection of food. The server is friendly and it is nice and breezy.

Nice, laid back restaurant & bar for a quick meal and a drink. Had a beef and cheddar sandwich, which was very good. The owner is very friendly and happy to engage you in conversation (if you don't act like a jerk) rather than mostly ignoring you as with people in some restaurants.
