Tailwater Restaurant & Bar

Great place to go eat, everything was outstanding. No complaints, the cocktails were very good as well. I went to just eat but thinking about coming to stay next time.

Ps: I’ve been back several times since my initial review and it’s great every-time. Please try the venison chops and the French onion soup. I updated photos as well

Every time I go back they have improved or added something new. It is a hidden gem that my family loves to frequent and meet there with friends. The service and staff have always been warm and friendly. The food has always been excellent their venue and hosting is classy and well organized.

A nice selection of beers and a overall, great dinner. The standout was truly the salmon; perfectly cooked and creative, delicious preparation. Can’t wait to return!

My wife and I stayed at the tail water lodge for our 10-year anniversary. I called The tail water restaurant the day before and let them know that we were staying there for our anniversary and asked if I could set up a dinner reservation. The girl who helped me over the phone was very friendly and accommodating. When we showed up the next day for our reservation the hostess immediately knew who I was and said she took my reservation the day before and remembered me. Again, she was extremely friendly and accommodating. She immediately sat us. Our waitress was also very friendly and accommodating. She was very quick with getting us our drinks from the bar. My wife and I were both very satisfied with our mixed drinks. We ordered a personal flat bread pizza for an appetizer for my wife and I to share. It was really good! My wife ordered the veggie burger with the garlic fries and I ordered the Reuben with the garlic fries. My wife said the veggie burger was one of the best that she has had. We both agreed that the garlic fries were amazing! Unfortunately, my Reuben was very tough and I am not a complainer so I just ate almost half of it and when the waitress asked if I wanted a box I told her no thank you. She asked me if everything was all right. I told her that Reuben was a bit tough. She apologized and asked if she could get me something else. I declined as I didn't want to order a whole new meal. She also said because it was our anniversary that they were treating us to a desert. We ordered some kind of apple crisp with ice cream and it was awesome! When the waitress came back and brought us our bill she let us know that she had removed the Reuben and did not charge us for the dessert and apologized again. Even though my Reuben was not very good they did everything right to correct the situation and I still believe they absolutely deserve the five star rating as everything else was perfect.

This place is Hilton property that is beautifully appointed with lovely artwork Chinook Salmon and other outdoor pictures. The food is the best you're going to get in this area. Moderate priced and very good. They have a lovely breakfast menu also. I had whole grain toast topped with spinach, avocado, feta, cranberries and honey. It was delightful.

Always a wonderful time. Celebrating 2 years married at Tailwater 🫶 Sept 25 🎉. Holds a special place in our heart. Thank you all for always making us feel welcomed. Food was fabulous.

Great service and atmosphere. Had French Dip and Turkey Reuben, both with their delicious garlic fries. Oh and some very tasty, hard to get, Alchemist brewery ales!

Four of us dined on Saturday, May 20th.
Even though we did not have a reservation, the hostess was able to seat us without any waiting.
Our server, Gabby, was super welcoming, very knowledgeable and so much fun!
When we told her that we were celebrating a couple of important things, she informed us that our desserts would be "on the house".
We proceed to enjoy one of the "Best" prime rib dinners that we have had in a very long time! Perfection on a plate!
We all chose the apple cobbler to end our meal...warm cobbler, vanilla ice cream with caramel drizzle and vanilla whipped cream....DELICIOUS...
We will definitely go back again!

Stopped in on our SXS this weekend for a drink and some lunch. The entire venue is beautiful, the bar tender/waitress was very kind and knowledgeable. Learning how they kept much of the original school building and repurposed it for the hotel/banquet space was great as well. Will definitely visit again when in the area!

My wife and I stopped out for our anniversary. It was our first trip out to Tail Water.

The service is 10/10. We made reservations thru their website, our table was ready to go as soon as we walked in. Every body kept wishing us a happy anniversary! It was nice. Our server, Kimberly, was patient, kept getting us samples, answered our questions, gave us the time we needed to go over the menu... awesome service from Kimberly.

The food was over the top great! My wife got the fried chicken, I got the ratatouille (add shrimp). Mine was awesome. My wife thought there was a little bit too much breading but the chicken was juicy and the collard greens were really tasty.

If I was manager and had to change one thing, I would add a bit more signage. I parked in the wrong lot and had to walk a ways to get to the restaurant.

Excellent service even on a busy night with our server (Gabby) covering a large portion of the restaurant at prime time on New Years Eve. Food was great and even improved from a couple years ago when we visited (not that it was bad before). Elk burger was cooked to perfection and the stuffed portobello was very enjoyable. Excellent draft list of beers and $11 flight option was very worth it.

Food was DELICIOUS! From the appetizers, salad, soup and Main courses!! The prime rib and Salmon are outstanding! Our server Kimberly was attentive, friendly and just overall amazing! Highly recommend this restaurant!

Loved the food. Very friendly staff. ( Sam who the bar tender was very friendly and talked with us when she wasn't busy. She was awesome). The price was very expensive but was totally worth it, with the amount of food given. Will definitely be back and will tell others to go. Can't wait to try something else on the menu for the next time.

We came to the tailwater lodge with a party of 10 to celebrate a birthday and had the best food and drinks! We were a pretty needy crowd and the waitress was amazing! We ordered bottles of wine, appetizes, drinks, and entrees and we loved everything! We will be back!

The person who made our reservations made them for the wrong date so when we arrived the manager said they didnt have a table to seat our 10 person party. We ended up coming back on a different night and were very please with how nice the returant looked and how clean it was kept. Our waitress was lovely and very patient with our huge party that included two small children. The manager even sent out a free sampler plate for the inconvenience of not being able to seat us the night before. The rest of our food and drinks came out fast and the food was hot and cooked perfectly. We even got left over desserts from Valentine's Day which were very delicious! My bf and I will be back to try the different dishes and try the less seasonal desserts.

Great restaurant especially for business meetings and such. Excellent food, very yummy. You definitely get your money's worth of food! (Lots of food for the money) Very friendly staff and very accommodating to swaping side dishes. Highly recommend visit this place. Also try staying a night or two in the hotel!

It's a really really nice place. Probably the most up scale in the area. Our waitress was probably the best one I've ever had in a eating experience and she easily handled 6 tables. The sides could not have been any better. Especially the soup that came with the meal. Some of the best of my life. But supprisingly the main courses where just ok. kinda small portions. The people here were on the more reasonable side as the other places were full of locals and tourists who were drunk, hostile, rude and arrogant... So if you're like me and don't want to fight through a bunch of unreasonable people looking for trouble just to get a meal, this is the place for you.
