We loved our dinner and look forward to trying new menu items in the future. It was also a relief not to worry about a tip!

I had a craving for Filipino food so I drove about an hour and fifteen minutes to get to Harana Market's new location in Accord. I had only ever been to their Woodstock location and I found it to be a charming little shop offering Asian snacks and ingredients along with a menu of familiar (if you grew up in a Filipino household) dishes. I also remember the smell of fried food in the air. I'm not saying that in a bad way; it smelled like my parents' house. It smelled of home. I ordered lumpia and tofu sisig (tofu, Thai basil, citrus "cream") last time. Very tasty - I made a mental note to visit again.
Harana Market's new location is right on the banks of Roundout Creek. It's a gorgeous spot. Their parking lot is definitely the busiest and most packed compared to all the other restaurants on Route 209.
For me, a first generation Filipino-American, having Filipino food reinforces "cultural identity" and it also reminds me of my parents. It's like having them close, if only in an illusory fashion. It is my soul food.
On the menu for today:
Lumpia - Filipino egg rolls and sawsawan (sauce), this one was spicy garlic and vinegar. Culinary cliche but this stuff was gbd (golden fried delicious), satisfying crunch with a flavorful filling of beef/pork, vegetables, and spices. It's nearly impossible to limit yourself to one.
Patis Fried Chicken - Citrus fried chicken served on top of garlic Bjorncorn popcorn. It was also served with garlic rice, atchara (pickled papaya), and spicy honey. I'm sure the chicken was twice fried because the crunch on that stuff was remarkable.
The garlic rice experience was a progression. At first, it was a recognition of a taste memory. I remember this taste. Another was a realization that some Filipino food isn't subtle. This one smacks you in the mouth. In my mind, it went from, "Oh, I remember this. That's a whole lot of garlic. It's good though. No, it's the best damned rice I've ever had." Something like that.
The tang of the atchara cut through the fatty richness of the chicken. The spicy honey (a nod to current culinary trends because my childhood household never had this stuff) served as a sweet foil to the salty popcorn. The whole dish is a clever pairing of contrasting flavors and textures.
It seems a bit unfortunate though. After having the fried chicken dish, I'm doomed to have it haunt me in my dreams.
Personally, the food surpassed my expectations. It was also more. It reminded me of my parents, where I come from, who I am. Soul satisfying.
Salamat.

This spot is ridiculously delicious — the gluten-free fried chicken had me shaking my head in disbelief at how good it was. The halo halo can also be made gluten free, and was just as tasty as the fried chicken plate. I’m already planning my order for the next time I visit (months from now, but I’ll be ready). Plus, the staff were absolute angels and were very knowledgeable about Celiac Disease and food allergies (🏆). Absolute win across the board. Thanks, Harana Market!

Went to this cute little market when I spent a few days up in Woodstock. Got Lumpia and a Halo Halo and both were amazing! Also went back another day to get the tofu sisig and a catalope float drink as well. The food and the service was great :) will definitely come back and stop by when I'm in the area!

This was our first time trying Harana Market. Upon opening the door you are hit with an fantastic aroma of the food they are cooking. This instantly set up the start of an amazing meal. We were greeted upon entrance by a very sweet and informative individual. Spoke about how everything worked and the special on the menu/anything that was out of stock on arrival. The food was outstanding! Sadly no photos as the four of us dove in the second we got it. It is very difficult to find an eatery that seasons appropriately. Harana Market did not disappoint!! The flavour of every dish we had was on point. The food is melt in your mouth delicious and I will personally be a regular of the establishment after this. Every worker we met was extremely kind and it shows how amazing the owners and chef are. The people they have working are great representations of their values and I commend them as that is not an easy accomplishment. Everything about Harana exceeded expectations and we are so happy to have them in Accord. Thank you for all you do!!

Really enjoyed my time here at this restaurant. I love Filipino food and this place did not disappoint. My partner ordered the skewers & I ordered the patis citrus fried chicken with garlic rice. For my sauce I got banana ketchup. Everything was sooooo delicious! The chicken was so crispy that I joked people a mile away could probably hear the crunch from the bite. Everything was cooked to perfection. Plus the vibes are great; friendly staff. I treated myself to some Asian groceries I wouldn’t be able to find back home. The weather was beautiful outside, so we thoroughly enjoyed the hammocks after finishing our meal. Can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful family business nestled in the Catskills. Delicious and different menu with Philippine dishes, in an antique general store. Only outdoor picnic table and hammock seating at this time. Pre-order your fried chicken online, cause it’s so good they run out. Feel good - contribute to Harana Market Pay-It-Forward or the Sunday Meal Donation.

The Food is top notch!
It gets busy so expect a bit of a wait to get through the queue. A bit buggy if you're eating outside, but they do try with complimentary bug spray..

Delish Filipino food in the middle of nowhere, NY. You have to have the fried chicken, it's out of this world crispy and tasty! Very helpful and cheerful staff

I still think about their fried chicken, and we'll make the trek every once in a while with the craving hits. Just an absolute hidden gem and now their new location has dine in facilities and so we have no reason not to make it a regular trek.

I have heard many great comments on the concept of preparing traditional Filipino famous dishes and putting a new twist to them, which enhances the flavors and elevates the dish even more. I am planning on going to NY next month and making sure that Harana Market will be my first stop, and to order the most delicious Arroz Caldo I’ve ever had! This will be perfect for the cold weather. One great comfort food dish. I can’t wait to experience again, the great culinary skills that Harana Market can and will definitely provide!

This little gem in the Hudson Valley is our entire family’s favorite when we are visiting from the West Coast. The adorable store is stocked with specialty grocery items, munchies, and tropical fruit drinks. I think we have had just about every menu item, and none have disappointed! The citrus chicken is one of my favorites. The chicken is juicy, crispy, flavorful, and the popcorn is a pleasant bonus. The tofu sisig is uber tasty and delightful. And that warm hug in a bowl? Their arroz caldo, the ultimate Filipino comfort food, is beautifully presented and equally scrumptious~just like my mom’s only better (shhhh! don’t tell my mom!). Oh, and lest I forget, their seasonal halo-halo is also refreshing and satisfying on those blistering summer days. I could go on and on, but you must go there for yourself. The excellent food (brings back so many fond childhood memories), amazingly dedicated staff, and wonderful atmosphere earns a 5-star from this Southern Californian!

YUM YUM YUM
This food is sooooo good. I had the tofu sisig, my friends had the congee and the beef dishes and we were all thrilled. Super friendly folks who worked there and there is a cute market with asian snacks, drinks, etc.
I didn't see indoor seating, but there are outdoor picnic benches. We ordered our food to go because it was chilly and everything traveled well. Will definitely be back.

Harana Market has great Filipino food, period. There isn't much in the area - there's zero phone service and nothing but rural country homes for miles - and this stands out as a worthwhile spot (not because the area sucks, but the food is great!). Also a good range of snacks and pantry items, although I wish they had more chip varieties.

There are always veg options (my friend got the tofu sisig while I got pork belly). I've never seen a tofu sisig before, but it was also delicious (but unfortunately not on a sizzling plate). The lechon was excellent - juicy, crispy skin, beautifully fatty without being sickeningly rich. The garlic rice was also top tier. Wish my egg was a bit runnier but that's just me. Halo-halo was also excellent, but here's to the slim hope they make a dairy-free option . Still ate the whole thing and suffered later.

Harana is an excellent choice if you're in the area. Phoenicia Diner is so overrated and I'm going to start suggesting my friends go here when they're upstate.

The food and vibes are spectacular. As somebody who grew up eating Filipino daily, I must say Harana does so well at providing authentic and delicious Filipino food. The store has so many great options for food to cook at home later too.
I highly recommend the sinigang, the tofu sisig, halo halo. I would try their whole menu if I had more time. 10/10 recommend, and I can’t wait to come back!!!

Food is authentically "pangbahay" taste- done with TLC. From first bite to left over, it was still true to its taste.
I bought tofu sisig and none had any fatty element.
Shanghai lumpia is a replica of what I have back home. So originally pinoy♡
