Our favorite coffee shop for more than a decade! We have been enjoying breakfast or coffee here for years and it would always be our first stop when driving up from NYC. As New Paltz residents, we love coming back here and starting our weekends right. Great coffee, matcha drinks and sandwiches. Amazing service! Could say a lot about their many hot sauces which are also available to be purchased to-go. We highly recommend this small, family owned place. ❤

I mean, this is the PUDDLE!! The most iconic coffee shop in New Paltz for over 20 years! Completely family owned and operated for the entire time. All beans are roasted fresh in house multiple times a week. Incredibly friendly and welcoming staff, and owners! Drinks (especially the cappuccino) are incredible and have that signature "Puddle" aftertaste. It also gets you REALLY energized!! Thursday to Monday, you're able to get breakfast there until 1 p.m., the food is REALLY good, especially with a cappuccino. I would HIGHLY recommend the "James Sandwich"!
Atmosphere is chill, with great music always playing. There's a huge outdoor area, as well as indoor bench seating overlooking the Walkill river and mt. Mohawk.

Great little coffee shop in the waterfront shops. Good coffee. Ours was just brewed, hot and flavorful. Very pleasant person at counter.

It was a perfect espresso shot after the Italian food lunch.

Excellent coffee, always get the white chocolate cinnamon maple special and buy 2 bags of Colombian coffee. Young lady in the am is extremely patient and efficient and she's by herself early in the am !

Had an Italian Panini with Chicken. Definitely left an impression. I was amazed at the assortment of teas and in-house cofre roasting. This place is great!

Great coffee shop at a great location on Market Street. They have classic coffee options as well as plenty of original drinks. I really enjoyed the Mudd Puddle Coffee. The staff was super friendly and service was prompt. They have outdoor seating available with a great view of the barn/antique shop. Parking is towards the back of the street and there is also street parking available on the main road.

Nice antique barn , across the way. Excellent vibe, and coffee is REALLY spot on DELICIOUS. I did not see any obvious vegan food choices, so not sure about that... but if you are going for the coffee and vibe it’ really nice.

Coffees great. Access to get to if in a hurry/rush/on the go is less than ideal, as finding nearby parking is not likely.

It’s a good down to earth place where after the weekend hectic lines, you can relax, chill enjoy the excellent delicious drinks and food that they have created and smile at the friendliness of the staff. I return here over and over again, and the quality of the staff and food is a testament to their amazing cafe!

Thankfully I visited on one of days with no mudd and zero pudding. Hopefully that does not happen often. The structure seems very sound and even the outside is well covered. Makes you curious as to how the name was earned. I was served possibly the biggest and best Americano ever served.

Excellent spot for breakfast and coffee, the outdoor seating with a view of Skytop is awesome. Love this place!

Very well made food. I ordered the Huevos Wrap and it was awesome Fresh and hot. Their ginger turmeric latte was delicious too. Very good breakfast muffin. I loved it and plan to come back.

Everything about this place screams new paltz. The workers are always very helpful and make the best food and drinks. My favorite thing to do is a get an iced mudd puddle and read outside on their porch. 10/10 would recommend to anyone wanting to have the new paltz experience

Delicious iced tea and iced chai latte--perfect amount of spice in the chai! Nice selection of breakfast options, vegetarian and non-vegetarian wraps, sandwiches, pastries, etc. You get a buzzer to let you know when your food is ready and then you can grab a table outside or take it to go.

We went to this lovely cafe this morning on a double date, and we absolutely loved it. The food was delicious and affordable

Amazing selection of freshly brewed coffees or teas. A choice of sweet bites or treats with a cute little English section of imported items. Breakfast or lunch options which the staff were happy to change or add to if requested. Small bar inside for seats but plenty of seating outside the front or back, perfect for multiple kids or dogs ! A range of locally brewed beers for sale including the stores own Yard owl. Was a great stop off before and after a hike, will be coming back.
