Fowler Woods State Nature Preserve

So nice since the new boardwalks were put in! Beautiful trees and flowers, beech and maple predominate, some old growth. A haven for birds and other wildlife. Very quiet and peaceful on our recent Saturday visit.

Great place to go for a walk to the woods or a roll through the woods I guess you could say it was nice to see a place I can take my wheelchair and go through the woods and look at everything I definitely recommend it the kids loved it I loved it don't forget the bug spray if you go mosquitoes were kind of crazy

Perfect location for a family outing. The board walk makes it easy for anyone to venture into the woods and enjoy nature up close!

Loved this park! Fantastic wooden boardwalk is well maintained. This is a great park for walking with kids to listen to nature sounds. There's some old growth trees, and the canopy is gorgeous as well. We will be back!

Great place to walk on what looks like a newly replaced boardwalk. If it was just 4 inches wider it would be much more comfortable for two to walk side by side though. Is great place to take someone in a wheelchair too.

Absolutely one of my favorite places to walk. It's quiet & scenic & the boardwalk makes it easier to NOT trip over a tree root or break your ankle in a mud hole

Absolutely beautiful Park handicap accessible boardwalk for the whole trail. See wildflowers animals. At least a mile and a quarter walk around the loop. My hat's off to the people who rebuilt the boardwalk nice work look good.

A rare treat--a mature stand of woods surrounded by (scenic in its own right) farmland. Specular display of spring wildflowers...deep in the woods...right up to the edge of newly-rebuilt, barrier-free boardwalk. One of OH's best ideas ever: Permanently preserve the last remnants of its unspoiled Natural Heritage. One of the most peaceful places in all of Buckeye Land. Especially in the spring. Before you die, go here.

Love it and so does my kids just wish the ash boar didn't ruin it for everyone. I wish i could walk the entire trail for once though... better luck next time though. Other than that its beautiful, an amazing escape from reality...

If you're in the Ashland area this fully wooden walking path is a mile and a quarter long. Perfect for a nice quiet walk in the woods. Lots to see.

We love going to this place because they have a lovely boardwalk all around their nature hike! It is helpful for a quick walk without getting too muddy!

Fowler Woods has a trail through it that is a little over a mile long. The boardwalk was recently replaced. A good place to go for a casual walk.
