The Cove Restaurant

beautiful indoor decor, very friendly service, clean bathrooms and eating space, and fantastic food (although a bit pricey) even if it was on the expensive side, you get what you pay for. I had a steak that was perfectly cooked with a spaghetti side and my friend had a soup with calamari and clams. They loved the soup and I loved my steak. I wish I could come back here, I really do.

Went twice last week and was very happy both times! The place is HUGE inside, and has additional seating out back. It was PACKED both nights we went, yet, somehow, we were seated quickly enough, and the wait for service and our dinners all went smoothly.
We had a chicken parm grinder with a side salad ($3). The chicken was delicious, nice breast meat not a patty. Good sized portion.
The Fish n Chips n Strips was outstanding, even better with sweet potato fries.
The second visit we had the seared/blackened tuna (a special) and the whole belly clams. The tuna was beautifully cooked, very rare inside, nice sear outside, served over a salad. The whole bellies, while tasty, was a bit pricey at $30, and honestly, they weren't any better, and hardly bigger, than the strips. Next time I'll order the Fish n Chips n Strips again!
I highly recommend this gem in Charlestown.

We had a delightful (off season) lunch at this lovely, spacious restaurant/bar off the main road in Charlestown, RI. We ate at the beautiful wide wooden bar and had a delicious and reasonably priced meal. The service was friendly, local, prompt and attentive. My cajun spiced flounder with horseradish aioli over rice with salsa was delicious, a very generous portion (made two meals) and spiced perfectly rather than the limited bland "cajun" food served elsewhere around here. The Garlic Bread Bites were also delicious. A lovely, quiet, delicious and very affordable meal just a minute off the beaten track. Highly recommend it, especially off season in South County, RI!

Wow! What a great place to eat. Service was outstanding. Food was plentiful and cooked well. It was a little loud for a restaurant. But I will definitely be back.

Stopped in about 8:30 for dinner on Friday night. Friendly crowd at the bar singing karaoke. I had an espresso martini as an appetizer, prime rib with smashed potatoes and asparagus followed by a Guinness for dessert. Neighborhood bar, fun people, everything was very nice. 5 Stars. Highly recommended.

Great place! Nice atmosphere, really good home style cooking. Nice draft beer selection. Super friendly staff. I'm very much looking forward to my next visit.

Went there on the last day I was in Rhode Island and I must say their chicken wings were cooked to perfection which a lot of places can’t do and I got the surf and turf and strips I thought it was the best fish and chips I’ve ever had would recommend

I love this place. Friendly staff and delicious food. I've had almost everything on the menu and it's all amazing. Specials, home made desserts, etc. I don't want to sound basic, but the chicken parm rivals any Italian restaurant!

After a wonderful day at the beach working up an appetite, I wanted to find a local place to have dinner. From the outside it doesn't look like much but once through the door it's a friendly comfortable atmosphere. Whether you want to sit at the bar and watch the game or dine with friends, it's a great location. The food was fantastic and fresh. My waitress was prompt and attentive. I'll definitely go back.

BEST LOBSTER BISQUE IN ALL OF NEW ENGLAND!!! Every summer the Cove is our first stop to kick off our family vacation. The servers are so sweet & attentive. The Cove is a locals only spot + also welcomes folks from all over & is family friendly!

We were sheltering in place for a week at a beach house nearby in the midst of the pandemic and could not believe our luck that we stumbled upon The Cove. We ordered pick up meals from the extensive menu three times that week and were delighted each time with both the high quality of the food and the gracious service. The staff took great care to set customers at ease with “touchless” pickup, bringing our orders to our car, even in the rain. They also proved very reliable in preparing gluten-free versions of their menu items for one of our party who gets very sick from even small amounts of wheat products. But it was all about the taste in the end and The Cove gets high marks for making even ordinary sounding dishes delicious. Knowing that The Cove is there is going to make a difference for us next time we are looking for a community for a beach vacation.

Both the clam chowder and the lobster bisque we're truly outstanding the fish tacos 🌮 we're very large and really tasty you get three tacos which was really filling.

Cozy and clean! It was my first time visiting The Cove and i was very satisfied with both the quality of the food and the great service. Our server, Rachelle, was attentive, engaging and genuine. An overall great dinner experience! I am certainly looking forward to my next visit here.

This was the second restaurant we went to after we bailed on the first due to poor selection. This place did not disappoint! Family friendly and they had everything on the menu in stock. Food was delicious and so were the drinks. Service was friendly and prompt. Will definitely come back!

The cove is my stand by. If I can't decide where to go I go to the Cove. Never had a bad meal.

Excellent food and huge portions. The waitress was a delight. We had the seafood platter and everything was perfectly cooked and had great flavor.
