Fantastic Umbrella Factory

Got to feed chickens, there are plants animals and little shops all throughout this place. By far one of my favorite adventures.

Very neat little area with a few shops to look at. I stopped by to walk around for a bit and thought it was really pretty.

Great idea for a tourist or local shopping place. Went with friends in town. Didn't really pay attention when my friend said she wanted to go to the Umbrella Factory?! Then when we get there it's a cute and quant shopping area with old time building feel. Lovely walk ways between the unique shops. Many different items in each shop, oils, bags, wind chimes, stones, clothing, candy store and toy store! Chickens running about, and a beautiful garden nursery you can purchase items from, such as statues and lots of plants!

I absolutely enjoyed my time here today. It is a beautiful experience and in-sighted all my senses! Take time to stroll the entire property. The landscape has you meandering along a path to get to the various buildings/spaces. The greenhouses are amazing and creatively and aesthetically arranged. I will definitely be back!

Great day trip. Put this adorable place on your your must stop list. Cute shops and atmosphere. And they have Emus!!!! Be nice to them. Treat them and the chickens with kindness. Don't get lost in the bamboo forest.

The Umbrella Factory is a delightful assortment of shops, all set within a rustic farmyard ambiance adorned with lively chickens and a serene bamboo forest. Describing this place is challenging; it's an experience best appreciated in person.

Now this place is unique. It’s a forest village turned shopping center. Unique shops full of homade goods. Also has an emu (an odd looking bird) and a walk thru bamboo forest!

A quaint grouping of small shops, each offering distinct yet endearing items for sale. This is a great place to spend an afternoon and come home with a one of a kind item or even find the perfect gift for the most difficult person on your Christmas list. There are outdoor pathways leading from storefront to storefront with art and curiosities along the way. Keep wandering and you'll find chickens and a bamboo forest to explore. Seasonally, there is a garden center with a variety of plants for sale.
One thing I did not find there is a bathroom. To be fair, I did not ask anyone. I just didn't notice one anywhere. Otherwise, it's a lovely spot.

Magical place to visit and shop. Stores have items not seen in other places. Lots to keep kids' and adults' interest. From the animals to the bamboo forest we had much fun. Worth the trip

Have to visit every few weeks to see what's new! Be sure not to miss the outstanding plant nursery! Also, if you're in the area, the Holiday Stroll is lovely.

What a nice little quaint village shopping experience. Want to go back to the 70's, this is the place. Bob Marley emminates throught the village and in most stores. You can find beautiful Buddha statues and those one of a kind items back from the past. PEACE is here, check it out.

Fun place to stop. The grounds appear to be maintained better compared to years ago, but there seem to be fewer animals. Many of the items for sale are more generic and touristy compared to the former hippie- farmer-artist oriented items from years ago.

The Fantastic Umbrella Factory is a must stop!! My entire family had such a fun time walking though the eclectic stores, exploring the bamboo forest, and enjoying the beautiful grounds.

Make sure you are not in a rush when you go, and enjoy leisurely strolling through the entire place.

Artistic shops with candles, handmade items, nice people. Wicked good candle cashier was very pleasant and helpful. I loved the pottery and baskets in the small axe shop. The general store has all kinds of novelty items and unique items. You could search through forever. Tie dyes, bags, crystals ect. I also loved the little pathways to each of the shops. New candy store opening April 1st! I will have to check that out!

Great place to enjoy. Enjoy the beautiful gardens, animals. Gift shop, Candy store, Antiques, Nick knacks, toys, games, Art's and Crafts. There's a lot to look at and lots of things to buy. Take time to enjoy the beautiful grounds, take a stroll down to the barn. Little bit for everyone. note: order building's and not all are handicap accessible. 2 story building's also not accessible. Still plenty to see.

We have been visiting since the 90’s and now bring our children here at least once a year. They always ask to go back! Unique stores, friendly people and just a peaceful and fun place to check out. From the emu’s to the bamboo garden and the shopping, summer isn’t complete without a visit to the Umbrella Factory!

Fantastic indeed. Not to be missed if you're open-minded or looking for objects that are nostalgic for those who came of age in the '60s & '70s. Great place to find unusual gifts.

This place was great. I went there with my son, his fiance and my little grandson. So much fun in the Bamboo garden.

This place is full of magic! I have been coming here for years for random day trips, quick stops after the beach, even a first date! I love checking out the shops, seeing the animals, and my favorite part-the bamboo forest! I recently got engaged in the bamboo forest and the owner and staff were extremely accommodating! They went above and beyond for my fiancé’s secret plan. They were so kind and helpful. They played a huge part in making our engagement special. From our first date to our engagement, the umbrella factory will always hold a special place in my heart! If you haven’t already been, it’s definitely worth the visit. We come from CT as often as we can to experience the special things they have here. Truly a gem! Coming to the umbrella factory will definitely become a family tradition.
