If you're looking for a quaint and cozy spot for a New England getaway, look no further. Hathaway Cottages is absolutely adorable!! We had a large party and rented the whole place out and it was wonderful. The property is stunning, the farm house is beautiful and the cottages are so cute (and the beds are insanely comfortable). There's a gorgeous English garden, a great pool and a fire pit. Everything is very well maintained and very clean. We had a fantastic time and would absolutely go again.

Just participated in a corporate retreat at the guest cottages, and couldn't have been more pleased! The rooms were wonderful and the hosts provided everything we asked for and more. They were very helpful not only with onsite logistics, but in helping us arrange fun things to do in the area. I can't recommend them highly enough!

An absolutely wonderful place to stay. Our host Michele was exceptionally accommodating. The rooms are as clean as they get and very well done!

I am not one to write reviews often, but Hathaway's is truly a hidden gem. Laura and Dave deserve all of the praise for their warm hospitality, peaceful environment, and beautiful, impeccably clean cottages. We are getting married here next year but loved it so much we went for an anniversary and weekend trip this year. The grounds are gorgeous, and it's so nice to have the swimming pool, as well as coffee in the mornings. I would highly recommend Hathaway's to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway close to the seashore.

Quiet, friendly owners, nice clean outdoor pool, fire pit. Close enough to everything yet far enough away. Cabins were very clean, showers were piping hot with good pressure. Air conditioner works perfect cooled the cabin right now. Reasonably priced, took our reservation last minute! For an impromptu trip for my husband and I this was the perfect little spot!

We had the most incredible experience at Hathaway's Guest Cottages and I cannot speak highly enough of this property and of Laura and David!!! We wanted to have a weekend long wedding event and we couldn't have stumbled upon a more perfect place.

The first thing that attracted us to Hathaway's was the giant beech tree in the front of the property (I believe it's one of the largest in Rhode Island!). The combination of the spacious front yard, beautiful farm house and this impressive tree made the perfect back drop for our wedding ceremony. In the back there are seven adorable beach cottages that were exactly what we needed to host ourselves, our entire wedding party and some close family. We rented the entire place out for five days at a totally fair and affordable price and had an absolutely unforgettable experience.

What really sealed the deal for us was Laura. She is incredibly kind, thoughtful, and accommodating. Her and her husband David went completely above and beyond to make sure we had an event that was better than I could've ever dreamed. Laura worked with us through the whole process to ensure every detail was taken care of and as a new bride who had no idea what I was doing, this put my mind at ease and I constantly felt like we were in such good hands. She was communicative, thorough and even surprised us with chocolates and champagne when we first arrived! They truly treated us like family and we will never forget that.

We managed to host a 130-person wedding and a 40-person brunch the following day. David handled all of the parking for the events so we didn't have to worry about a thing. We had a 40' tent that fit nicely on the property and there was plenty of space for the caterers to set up as well. The cottages are very up to date and had all of the accommodations one would need (bed, bathroom, couch, TV, fridge, coffee maker). The two larger cottages even have full kitchens! The cottages are impeccably maintained and all of our guests were very happy. They set up coffee by the pool every morning which was such a sweet addition to the beautiful scenery and gardens. Our wedding was in September of 2019 and everything was so green, bountiful and in bloom.

We wanted to do a lot of the wedding prep ourselves and Hathaway's totally facilitated our vision. They allowed us to bring in our own benches and arbor and it truly was like a scene from a movie. Whether you are considering a weekend stay close to the beach or a larger event, they have you covered. 10/10 would stay again! Thank you, Laura and David!!!

I found these cottages on a google search and stayed for a night. So quaint, cute, and quiet! The cottage is clean and well kept and makes you feel like you’re tucked away from hustle and bustle. The grounds are beautiful and makes it easy to relax and feel at peace. It is centrally located so you can get anywhere in Charlestown fairly quickly. The owners David and Laura were so pleasant and helpful. I definitely will book again soon.

I stayed at one of the cottages last weekend for my wedding down the road. The cottage I was in was amazing and cozy. It was hospital clean with everything you would want for an over tonight or longer stay. The owners made me feel welcome right away. Will definitely stay again for a weekend getaway. The pool was so nice to relax by and catch up with some of my family. My room had a gas grill outside which worked perfectly. It was also nice to have a gas station right down the road along with a mini super market. It is right down the road from a Charlestown beach. If you are looking for a room anywhere in the area this is the place you need to stay.

We loved our cozy, comfortable, and private cottage. The grounds, with pool, firepit, gardens, and lawn, and beckoning Adirondack chairs made for a peaceful and relaxing setting. To top it off, the owners were friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome and right at home!

My wife and I have stayed at Hathaways Guest Cottages many times now, though this was the first time during the covid19 pandemic. If you need a place to get away to, that is very clean, and is easy to enjoy social distancing at, this is it. The spotless cottages are spaced apart and all the guests are respectful of your space. We are in our 60s and are concerned about the way people at hotels and motels abandon concern for others and this is simply not the case here. Let Laura and David host your next getaway to RI fresh air, beaches, fishing, the Cottages pool, or a good book in the shade. You will enjoy every minute of it!

We were on a long vacation this summer from Texas and were tired of hotel rooms when we found this Gem !! We enjoyed a relaxing few days here and adventures around nearby sceneic places . The cottages were excellent and beds were comfortable!
The owners were on site and coffee by the pool was so nice . Our kids enjoyed the pool and we enjoyed walks from behind the cottages that leads down to a marina . This is a great central location ! I also enjoyed the pretty flowers and the PRICE WAS RIGHT !

Our stay at the Hathaway Cottages was very pleasant. I loved the attentiveness and care we received. Additionally, the cottage and grounds were cute, clean, and well taken care of. I will be back!

We experienced Laura and David’s five star white glove cottages for the first time. This was an exceptional value with all the amenities we could have desired. We look forward to next summer to repeat the joy.

The owners, Michele and Sam, are genuine, easy to speak with, and professional.
The farmhouse is lovely, up to date, and a great place to stay in this area.

This place was a gem to find! Super clean, quiet and down to earth hosts. Nice little touches like ceramic mugs for coffee and offering fresh coffee by the pool in the morning. Pretty grounds to wake up on.
