Our visit was cut very short by a death in the family but our short stay was a very good experience. The staff was courteous, accommodating and just overall helpful. Campground was nice and clean.

Very accommodating RV Park. Great Hosts! Wi-Fi did everything we needed. We had an awesome walk along the River and took Cumbres Toltec train to Chama. Enjoyed our entire stay!

The campground is well taken care of and the folks running it are super kind. We were camped there during a ridiculous wind storm that lasted the duration of our trip. While we were leaving, one of the folks there brought us a free two night stay because of the wind. It’s not everyday that you find a campground that is willing to hook you up due to circumstances out of their control. Completely unexpected and appreciated! Will be back soon for sure!!!!

Got in a little trouble with coming in after hours, no service, bathrooms were locked. We drove a couple miles down the road to call the number left on the door and it was a sweet lady who answered. Asked us what was going on, and was very helpful. She gave us what we needed, and they weren’t rude about the situation which is appreciated (we are from out of state). Bathrooms are kept very clean, along with the showers. The campground has a good water and electric hookup, and it’s quiet. Overall, will definitely be coming back to this campground next time I’m on vacation!

And amazing campground with the friendliest people and gorgeous access to world class fishing! My husband and I stumbled upon this breathtaking site while celebrating an anniversary trip. The owners and staff at the campground went above and beyond to make sure we had a beautiful site and everything we needed for our stay. I couldn’t agree more with other reviews that these are probably the friendliest people we’ve ever met while staying at a RV park/campground. Ross, Pamela, Gary And Bob, treated us as friends from the moment we arrived. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to escape to a beautiful and quiet piece of Colorado.

This is a private, family owned and operated campground and you couldn't ask for friendlier people. The scenery is breathtaking and there are plenty of off road trails for mountain biking and four wheeling. Surrounded by National Forest, the campground is within walking distance of the Conejos river where you can find world class fly fishing. Highly recommended!

This is a jewel of a campground. A friendly, peaceful and quiet setting. The new fiber optic internet service is running well to stay in touch with friends and news.
There are many roads and trails nearby to see forest, mountains, canyons, and best of all the many wild game(elk, mule deer, bear, turkey, etc.).
About 200 yard walk from the campground to the Conejos river for great fishing.

We stayed at Conejos River RV for a week in June with 2 other RV campers. We had a wonderful time. The owners were very nice, we had a lot of fellowship and getting to know each other. We will definitely be back and would recommend this campground. It really was one of the friendliest camp sites were have been to, helped us with whatever we were doing.

Great fishing and beautiful rugged mountain terrain. Perfect for astronomy, meteorite hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, etc! 10 minutes to the small town of Antonito where you can take the narrow-gauge train to Chama for lunch and then come back on it. Real steam engine which must stop to take on water every so often, wonderful for kids and adults alike. Dozens of hiking and fishing locations.

The best campground in the area! Great owners! 5 minutes from the river on foot, 10 minute drive from 3 recreational dispensaries (you need an ID from any state/be 21+/no public use). Be discreet if you drink or smoke cannabis, it's a family place but you'll have no issues with the friendly people who run the campground so long as you use common sense/follow the law. It does not cater to cannabis users like the hotel in town but if that's all you came to Colorado for then you probably went to Denver.

Spin and fly-fishing is a walk down the trail from the campground. Hiking trail is also available along the river.

Friendly staff, community events, and world-class trout fishing. This is the kind of camp ground where if you need help moving a table or need some flour people are more than happy to help. Most of the people who stay all season are from pleasant states such as Texas, Oklahoma, Lousiana, New Mexico, Florida, etc. The owner was a sheriff and there are other law enforcement professionals in the community here so it's very safe despite being so remote.

Conjones River Campground RV Park is within walking distance of the Conjones River and the superb quality fly-fishing it offers. A few miles down the road is Trujillo Meadows, an easily accessible 69-acre lake suitable to float-tubing, small non-power boats, or shore fishing.

If you have 4WD or take it slow in a 2WD vehicle with sufficient clearance you can head up to Platoro, a massive and productive reservoir. In addition you can explore the various other streams and creeks in the area, one such creek worth fishing is Elk Creek, just a ten minute ride from the camp ground.

Hiking trails are plentiful and many can be challenging. You can do any thing from a few hours walking to backpacking for a week on nearby trails.

Don't confuse this camp ground with the neighboring state park campground which has no electricity, internet, or phone availability. You can fish all along the state park part of the river without paying the state park campground. Do not be confused by this setup as the two parks are connected by a network of foot paths and an informal service road (vehicles can not cross between the camp grounds without accessing the main road).

The campground is close enough to TMobile and Verizon towers in the neighboring valley that a short walk up to the church will put you in cell coverage. Alternatively a cell phone booster will easily give you a bar or two of 4G LTE.

Basic supplies such as fuel and food essentials as well as several recreational marijuana disparities are located in nearby Antonito, about a 20 minute drive down into the valley. Do not ever speed through Antonito, the town is heavily pedestrianized for it's small size and the local cops run radar literally 24/7. The one mile strip of road in the entire country where the speed limit is consistently enforced can be found here :)

Antonito also offers one of the last operating narrow guage steam engines in the world. For around $30 per person it takes you through 30 miles of Colorado and New Mexican vistas. It stops several times both ways to load water. Great activity for children but every one should try it once. It arrives at an old train depot in the mountains and there you receive a very good complimentary lunch. There is also a gift shop there, bathrooms, etc. Two trains run and you will likely see the 2nd train arrive from Chama, NM. After lunch you ride the train back to your car. It takes about 4 hours total. Most of that 4 hours is riding the train through the mountainous passes. Seating is informal and you can roam the train, there is an open car which offers the best views.

Alamosa is a much larger town about 45-60 minutes away that has everything a mid-size town typically does: several supermarkets, a Walmart Supercenter, small college, restaurants, down town area with some artsy stores, etc. There's a tiny satellite airport if you are flying in or out. There's car rental there and you can get a 16 passenger air shuttle to DIA.

Plan to come and stay a while. There's a lot to do in the neighboring areas and this campground makes a good base camp for fishing, hiking, and exploring the southern Rockies.

Owners are very nice and helpful. Campsites all had amazing views and the bathrooms were immaculate.
If we're ever in the area again, we'd definitely stay there again.

We came here just to dump our sewage and the grounds are beautiful. Real clean and they have lots of space.

There is a playground for the kids and a couple of fire pit areas.
