Our experience with Glacier Outfitters was great. Parked at Apgar Village and it was a short walk over to check in for our kayak rental. Process was very quick and easy, and kayaks were on wheels so we could easily bring them to Lake McDonald.

Kayaking on the lake itself was gorgeous. Water was quiet and got just a little choppier over the course of the morning, but very easy to manage. Extremely beautiful and relaxing experience!

Clear pricing on their website and quick text /email confirmations of our reservations. We rented kayaks one day (boats, life vests and paddles were laid out and ready to go before we arrived) and walked up and rented bikes two days later. Friendly staff and the equipment is well kept! I would recommend they get a little bit wider bike seats for the ladies.

10/10 experience at Glacier National Park. Our group of three rented three single kayaks for 4 hours (9:30am-1:30pm). This was the perfect amount of time for us as it gave us enough time to kayak about 2 miles down the lake to a quiet beach, stop for lunch, then head back. Kayak pick up is a short walk down to the lake. The staff was very friendly and made pick up / drop off a breeze.

Outstanding overall experience. We rented kayaks, stand up paddle boards, and a baby carrier. The watercraft were in great shape and the check in process went smoothly. We had no trouble finding parking for our 9:30am start time. Lake MacDonald was calm and the water was a beautiful, clear blue. Renting a kayak/SUP also allows you entry into the park at the West Glacier entrance on the day of the rental.

The baby carrier was in excellent shape, possibly new when I used it. It carries up to 48lbs. Our youngest can’t walk nearly as far or fast as the rest of our family and this pack allowed us to do all of the hikes on our list. Super reasonable pricing and knowledgeable staff who showed me all of the quirks of the carrier when I picked it up.

The staff was organized and ready for the rental that morning when we got there. It was a short walk to the lake, and the experience was so worth it! We paddled an hour and found a little spot to have our lunch and swim in Lake McDonald. We had the area to ourselves, making it relaxing for us since we weren’t traveling with kids. Plus, we had cell phone service while kayaking on the lake, which was an added bonus!

We were so happy with our kayaking experience with Glacier Outfitters! They were informative and flexible about their rentals. I was worried that if we were 5 or 10 minutes late getting the kayaks back (which we were not!) that they would charge us for an extra 2 hrs rental. But they only prorate it and said we have some leeway anyway. The kayaking on Lake McDonald was beautiful and relaxing and we will do it again when we have company visiting from out of state!

This was amazing! We had the greatest time and the e-bikes really helped with the ascent. We had a group of 4. None of us had ridden an e-bike before but the lessons up front and the guidance for where to go on the GTTSR was perfect. We even lucked out as the road opened all the way to Logan’s pass right as we were biking up: Best.Day.Ever. We will definitely be doing this again and telling all of our friends!

Very kind and knowledgeable staff. They let us change our time to later in the day because the morning was chilly. Super easy to book, equipment was in good shape, and we really enjoyed our 3 hours on the lake! Would definitely book with them again.

We had an amazing day in Apgar on Lake McDonald. My family of four rented a tandem kayak and two paddleboards for 3 hours. The staff at Glacier Outfitters were friendly and helpful. They gave a clear layout of the lake and made recommendations for our family to enjoy our morning on the lake -picnic and all! This was definitely an experience to remember, the lake was beautiful and we took our time to explore and and paddle around.

Helpful and friendly staff! Rented bear spray for a week and a tandem kayak for a day. Pick up and drop off were all smooth and easy. Strongly recommend a day out on lake McDonald!

Paddle board rental- Easy to book online. We needed to change our reservation date which was super simple via text. Friendly staff. Not over crowded. The views are phenomenal. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

We had an amazing experience riding the e-bikes up the Going To The Sun Rd early in the season. We opted for the shuttle service up to Avalanche parking as we didn't know what kind of rental vehicle we would have or how busy the parking lot would be. It was worth it as it took away that hassle and stress. Our guide/driver, Dennis, was knowledgeable, kind, and perfect. The bikes were awesome and super easy to use. We only made it half way between the Loop and Logans pass because of avalanche possibility, but it was well worth it and an amazing experience.
Have never driven on the road but I would say biking was definitely the way to see the views and experience everything.

Easy rental process done online through pickup. A short walk to the kayak launch and we got to enjoy the beautiful wonder of Lake McDonald and surrounding nature. Thanks to the friendly Glacier Outfitter staff(Shelby) who helped us out. We did a 4 hour rental. Between the paddle out and return, along with hanging out a bit at fishing creek in between was just the right amount of time.

It was rainy and cold but we had a blast. Renting bikes from Glacier Outfitters is a breeze! They attached the rack, they put the bikes on and off the rack, and all we had to do was have fun!

Conveniently located a quick walk to Lake McDonald. Super friendly staff and reasonable prices! Love all of the info they give to help understand kayaking on the wake and the wind.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Convenient location for biking the Going To The Sun Road (shuttle to bike start is right around the corner from Glacier Outfitters at the Apgar Visitor Center). Highly recommend reserving a bike well ahead of time, and renting an EBike if you can snag one.

I had great first experience at Glacier Outfitters in Apgar on Sunday morning. I rented a kayak at 9:30am on Sunday 5/14. I don’t remember the name of the young lady who helped me but she said she was from Utah and had just started this position. She was so helpful, she showed me a map of the lake and answered all my questions. I would definitely rent from here again!

Such a great experience and so glad I found these guys at the end of the season! All the staff was very helpful and accommodating. We went the last week of September and didn't have to make a reservation. They were super flexible on rental times which was great since kayaking was a last minute decision during our trip. Totally unforgettable experience to paddle across Lake McDonald and see Glacier from a different point-of-view! Will definitely use this outfitter again!

All the employees were so friendly and helpful!! I had to make adjustments to our kayak and fishing pole rentals and Mark helped me get everything taken care of in a very prompt manner. He and some of the other staff on location, namely Ben and Ryan, answered all my questions and gave us great recommendations for activities! I highly recommend using Glacier Outfitters for your rental needs at the park! Thanks to all of you there!

Great place to rent bikes, kayaks, and bear spray. We rented a pair of bikes one day and kayaks the next. The bikes were super nice for rentals (Raleigh Redux 2) it was a blast riding going to the sun road with most of it still being closed in early June. The kayaks were nice quality also, I was worried about it being a sit on rather than a sit in. I have had bad experiences with sit on types before but these were very stable.
