This is one of the most beautiful places I've stayed! Located centrally near the historic district of Appomattox, this beautifully appointed B and B is just right! If you love beauty, peace and authenticity, this is your place. Lovely, homemade breakfast each morning, plus cereal, fruit and juice. My hostess Dana was lovely and kind. Southern charm at its finest! Highly recommend!

Lovely home. It has become one of my favorite bed and breakfasts. Our room was beautiful, very clean, delicious breakfast, charming atmosphere, and close to restaurants and historic attractions. Highly recommend.

We had a great time here and this is where we will stay again if we come back to the area. We felt very comfortable and welcome. Everything was so clean and well put together, breakfast was good, and everyone was so kind. Thanks again for having us!

We enjoyed are stay very much. Definitely would go again. We had the the downstairs bedroom an had a door that went out to one of the outside patios. We went during the week and had the privacy we were looking for. We also appreciated that we didn't have to get up at a certain time to have breakfast. The dining room several options for you to fix your own breakfast. Instant oatmeal, fruit, toast, English muffins, off, hot tea. It was the place for us for the much-needed time alone. We had dinner at the Bancock, and had a great dinner.

Way beyond a 5 star experience for our group! This was for a wedding for my daughter at the nearby Lavender Farm. Dana made our weekend unforgetable. There is great attention to detail in the old English decor, breakfast foods, etc. We felt perfectly at home. She goes above and beyond to make every need met. She even catered a couple of events for us that were way above our expectations! Wish we lived closer. You can not go wrong staying here or renting out the facility for a big event!!

We stayed at the cottage in the back of the main house, and we loved the place. Absolutely beautiful. I will definitely go back.

Had a really nice time at Longacre! The room was super clean and had a really nice charm to it, and the innkeeper served us fresh breakfast in the morning! Would definitely spend the night here again if given the opportunity. We had two bedrooms and it was still cheaper than most hotel rooms!

My wife and I recently stayed to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary. We stayed in the Manor room, which has a very comfortable king size canopy type bed. The room had an electric fireplace that could be turned on with just the flame for ambiance, which was a nice additional touch. Also attached to the room was a private bath that added to the charm of the room. Everything made you feel like you were am honored guest at a friends home. The hostesses made sure we knew where everything was, including their phone numbers in case we needed anything. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting an affordable yet elegant getaway. Another home feeling thing was the breakfast that was awesome. Also the house has so much charm and character that pictures don't really capture. The grounds behind the main house would be ideal for a picture perfect wedding in the spring or fall.

Delightful bed and breakfast! Stayed one night with two friends to celebrate my birthday. The innkeeper, Caitie, went out of her way to make our stay special. Our room as well as the common rooms were comfortable, relaxing and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was delicious and the espresso chocolate cake, Caitie made for my birthday, was out of this world amazing!

I recently celebrated a special birthday at Longacre and it was wonderful!! Your hostess, Caitie, was so welcoming and made our celebration special with her outstanding food and hospitality. Everything was spotless and beautifully decorated for fall! The building and grounds are lovely and we truly enjoyed being there!

Great place to stay when in Appomattox. We had a small family reunion here and it was a perfect place for that. We were able to use the dining room to play games and the living room was a great place to sit and visit and watch football on the flat screen TV. The parlor was also a great place to visit. It includes a small round table and four chairs as well.

We used the charcoal grill to make dinner one evening. The grounds are very nice, although the rainy weather kept us from fulling using them as well as the patio ateas. There is a small sunroom area in the back where there is a freezer for ice and small refrigerator for guests.

Lastly, the staff was very welcoming and friendly. Our needs were very well met. All in all I highly recommend.

Why would anyone ever stay in a hotel when you could stay in a place like this??!! Everything was perfect. Welcomed our dogs with yummy biscuits. Breakfast was out of this world. Just perfect all around!

Lovely little bed and breakfast near to Appomatix Station. The room we were deligated was quaint and very homely. Bed was very comfortable , bathroom was not en-suite and if you need to get up in the middle of the night can be a bit confusing. Nice continental breakfast and plenty to choose from very satisfying. Owners sister was on hand and very nice and helpful. Worth another stay if passing through.

It was Parent's Weekend in Farmville, VA and all the hotels were booked. Luckily, we found a room at Longacre! We spent the night in the Manor Room and it was great! We would happily stay there again and highly recommend it to our friends and family.

Beautiful Tudor-style BnB on a tree-lined street. We stayed in the Carriage House which was absolutely amazing. Downstairs had a combined kitchen/dining/family room with a queen bed in the corner. The loft had a king-size bed, reached by a spiral staircase. Continental breakfast was served in the main house. Everything was sparkling clean and beautiful decorated, and the owner was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely a nicer place to stay than an impersonal hotel!

Our stay was amazing. We stayed in the manor and it was beautiful. If you are into historic places you will love it. And the ladies that own it are so nice. I will be back.
