Curitiba Art Cafe

Curitiba Art Cafe is my favorite coffee shop in Fredricksburg Va. They serve good coffee and after a certain time they sell alcohol, which is cool. If you ever visit the “burg” as they say check this place out great everything. Just don’t go there before 9am because you will be waiting outside lol!

Great little place with a selection of teas, cold drinks, alcohol, and frozen drinks. The milkshakes are fantasies and the prices are reasonable. The staff was very friendly and happy and made the service process enjoyable. There is a pretty good selection of art, but I felt like there should be more local artists and the prices were a little high for local artists who do not have a large following. Would be a great place for a gallery/opening. Overall though a fantastic place to sit and enjoy a drink with plenty of seating.

We happened to walk by this place while on the street and decided to check it out. I was surprised about how aesthetic it was inside. The decor has a cozy, pleasant, plant filled, woodsy and artsy vibe.

They have a glass counter with pastries, as well as a coffee, food and drink menu. The staff was nice and they were patient as we looked at the menu to decide what we want. We went with a cherry danish, ice chai, and plum tea.

Cherry danish was warmed and tasted gooey on the inside and crispy on the outside. Chai was more milky than I expected yet it was tasty. Plum lavender tea was refreshing and reminded me of pomegranate.

I like that they have paintings throughout, as well as a piano and an old arcade machine in the back room. You can play the piano in the back and I’m guessing the arcade machine. This place has a charming, enchanting atmosphere.

I just love this cafe. The food is delicious and the drinks are superb. There are a wide variety of spots to relax or chat depending on your needs: quiet spots to read, large space for a meeting, outdoor patio area in the back, comfy chairs to sit and people watch out the window, etc. Did I mention the staff is fantastic? Don't pass up this gem when walking around downtown.

This is quickly becoming a favorite spot for me! I love the different seating options and views, indoor and outdoor! The latte is 100% amazing. My 3 year old loves it too!

Such a neat cafe complete with alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages which include teas, coffees, espresso beverages, and milkshakes. The menu also boasts various meal and dessert options. The staff is friendly and prices are reasonable. The cafe is beautifully decorated with artwork and eclectic decor. Live musical acts perform on various nights during the week. Curitiba is a great addition to downtown Fredericksburg!!

Very good place to enjoy a quiet time (depending on time and day of course). The coffee is excellent, expresso and drinks are very good too. Really recommended.

Great coffee, ambiance and food. We stopped by Fredericksburg on our way home and decided to have a coffee at Curitiba, we loved it!

Great vintage feel. Great vintage drip coffee. It takes me back. The pumpkin spice muffin was great too.

BY FAR the best coffee shop in Fredericksburg. I love a couple of the others, but Curitiba has raised the bar. Peaceful, amazing atmosphere including an upstairs loft, a piano/fireside room in the back, and an outdoor patio in back with string lighting and pet friendly seating. The owners, Frank and Anna, are wonderfully friendly as are the baristas. The coffee is great, the food is delicious - definitely visit them. You will be sold the minute you walk in the door!

A fabulous evening at the Curitiba listening to a Jazz ensemble. The evening began with piano and bass guitar, then vocals, trumpet and lastly a tenor sax player joined the ensemble. The Jazz session was in aid of The Table at St George's Church. A great cause. There is a wonderful atmosphere at the Curitiba and alcoholic drinks, sodas or tea, hot chocolate and coffees are served. There is food too. You can be seated at wooden tables, at a custom made bar top or on leather chairs and a couch. On Thursday nights there is a Beer and Poets Open Mic. We will be returning and would highly recommend the Art Bar to others

Great atmosphere, friendly and lovely staff, several seating locations, including a fantastic back patio. The sandwich I had was extremely delicious. Will definitely return.

Beautiful space in historic downtown Fredericksburg. Stopped by here the first time last week for a drink and some cake. The beer was good and the cake was the perfect temperature and had that good "melt in your mouth" consistency. Delicious.
The place is impeccably decorated, you can tell art is art the very soul of what they do. The atmosphere was very welcoming for someone shy like myself. I've walked outside by here several times and have seen and heard incredible live music being played and tons of people having a great time.
They are very in tune with the local downtown community, in fact I just went there again last night for a local street photographer meeting.
Definitely a cool place, if you are downtown check it out.

Delicious coffee and a great atmosphere in the store! The owners are very kind and caring for all types of individuals. Go in and get yourself a coffee and strike up a conversation with some friendly coffee drinkers!

This place is an absolute gem. I didn't think coffee shops this nice existed outside of California. Plus they serve alcohol! Highly recommend coming here after hitting up the different markets in town. You won't regret it

Spent the morning sitting outside the Curitiba Art Cafe. Great Cafe with a friendly staff. Enjoyed the Turkey and Gouda sandwich and an iced coffee!

Look how adorable this place is. I can’t believe one walked right by this place for years. Real extensive coffee menu. Wish they had a bit more food options but that’s cool. I definitely will be back.
