Holiday Lake 4-H Educational Center

My oldest boy went for the weekend for a cooking class. It's small but really nice.

4-H Camp feels like home. I went to Holiday Lake for 4-H Camp every summer from age 9 until age 21. I had visited each summer for a few years after that but hadn't been back in a few years. I recently got to visit again and it just made my soul so happy. I can't wait for my child to be old enough to go.

I love Holiday Lake. It's got a great setup for shooting events, the bunkhouse and cabin facilities are perfectly fine for the kind of semi-rustic environment that it occupies, the dining hall serves up food (breakfasts are especially good), and I just enjoy myself whenever I'm out there. I'm looking forward to the improvements that I've heard are on the way, too.

Great place, wonderful views and nice quite location. The cabins and grounds are well managed with lots of room to explore. I enjoyed a nice three day event there and had a blast.

What a foundational and wonderful experience it took my breath away when I was a child and it taught me lessons about life and how to survive I didn't know because I was a child growing up in the surrounding counties that now it's in my back yard of my neighborhood and I don't live to far from it now. It to me as a child was and will 4ever be the best kept secret. Why because no one at the time of camp told you where this camp was located back then. It was an awesome and amazing Oasis to get away from our parents to join other kids and make memories 4ever.

The 4H program means so much to my family. It teaches children leadership skills and this center is where we have camp every year. The cabins are quaint. The facilities are nice, they just built a new bath house a year or so ago and they are updating and bringing new programs in each year. Below is a picture from the lake lodge where i stayed.

Holiday Lake 4-H Center is an awesome camp where anyone, especially kids, can have all sorts of fun. There's the canoes, the high ropes course, the pool, the rifle range, the amplitheatre and many other places to have fun while learning at the same time. The food from the dining hall is also really great.

An amazing place full of terrific people that care about the children that visit.

Went for shooting practice. Place is always clean and ready for use. Had a great time.

A very relaxing place very very beautiful very nice staff everywhere you go there very enjoyable excellent hiking it's all around excellent place to visit as a couple or with a family it is very awesome I highly recommend it do all Outdoors people

That camp is AWESOME you live in little cabins for a week.It like vacation

Wow. Hidden gem with lots of things to do and on top of that next to a Virginia State Park.
