Dawson County Tax Commissioner

I moved to Dawson county four months ago. I was informed when I went in to check on a payment I made, that the system wasn’t showing valid insurance. I guess when my 30 day binder expired my insurance company hadn’t uploaded my insurance. I worked with Robin and she was so helpful. It took a while to get it straightened out but Robin kept in touch until I got it fixed. I feel she went out of her way to help me and contacted me when it showed valid. You don’t find many people these days that will take the time to follow up with customers. I really appreciate the service and time that was given to me. Thank you for great service!!!

Just moved to Dawson County and went this week to update my car tag. We had such a good experience! The lines were short, we were in and out within 15 minutes, and a security officer even handed my 10 month old a Junior Deputy sticker upon arriving! How thoughtful!

No line, smily faces with kind welcoming and all done in minutes. I really liked here 😃

Recently moving into Dawson county. I was surprised at how nice everyone was when I walked in. There was no wait and Tracy assisted me with everything! She went above and beyond spending time with me to make sure I was able to get everything in line in order to register both my vehicle and my spouses. Truly exceptional service! It was great meeting the Tax commissioner as well and they even gave my family a welcome bag.

Dawson County has the best tag office in my book. They have such smiling faces when you walk through the doors, plus a nice welcome. The lady that helped my dad and I her name was Robin. She was such a smart lady with a wonderful personality. The whole experience was great! Thanks for all the hard work and workmanship y’all show and give.

I am the Title Clerk for a luxury motorhome dealership in metro Atlanta. As such, I work with tag offices all across the country. I have never had a better experience than the one I just had with Megan (Branch Manager). Long story short, I had a significant title issue that did not have a solution. Megan very calmly looked into the issue and found one within minutes. This may not sound all that grand, but I can assure you that being able to call a tag office and within 5 minutes be speaking with a manager and have them work with you to solve a problem while you are on the phone is exceedingly rare. Dawson County is in good hands!

Never thought I’d give the tax office a five star review. We just recently moved to Dawson County and had such a great experience switching our plates over. There was no line and we were in an out in 10 minutes. Megan was very helpful and the tax commissioner actually introduced herself to us since we just moved. One of the best experiences I’ve had!

I want to give a special shout out to our Dawson County Tax Commissioner Nicole Stewart and her team! During this terrible time they have been absolutely available; they have been emailing and calling, they have made forms necessary available in the lobby, they have gone above and beyond. I had an issue I had a question about and I had no problem getting help so fast I couldn't believe it! They are amazing and we are so lucky and so blessed that they work for us here in Dawson County! Thank You isn't enough for your service and dedication!

Had a great experience. Sarah was friendly and got me through in a jiffy! My dad also went in to have his tags changed to Dawson Co and she was really helpful and patient with him. Thanks Dawson Co!

I just got my Rotary tag in the mail this week and wanted to give a shout out to the tag office and Nicole Stewart. Honestly, it used to be a dread to go to the tag office in Dawsonville...it was known for that and people around the community actually joked about how bad the Service was. Im certainly not saying anything negative towards the former leadership there at all...just different times! However, since Nicole has gotten elected and been leading the office...it has completely changed and for the better! Everytime you walk go there...everyone is so welcoming and uplifting. You can tell the whole staff is happier and its ran much more efficiently as well. I actually dont mind at all going anymore because of the level of customer service, friendly faces, and just the whole atmosphere is so positive! Thank you Nicole for all of your hard work and your team as well. We are lucky to have you in Dawson county!

Had a wonderful experience at the tag office very quick in and out. The young lady that help me was great. She said she was new and hadn't been there long. Robin really done great.

Had a 5-star experience at the Dawson Co. tag office this week. Katie was a smiling face and very helpful. Made the experience painless and enjoyable. Great job!

We'll see if they don't try to lock me up again for I get to Dawson County tax commissioner see if she readily made an appointment but you know she sure ignored me for two good years now

Really great experience at this place when went for out of state car registration. Courteous, friendly and helpful staff. Tracy helped us and made us welcomed in Dawsonville!

Guess what? I got my tag. Bonus? No emissions test.. yet!

I have lived from Alpharetta to Lumpkin co. and I have never been to a tag office that I got in and out so quickly and with such a pleasant young lady helping me. Heather was amazing. I had several questions and she answered with no hesitation. Very knowledgeable.

We always get statements in a timely manner. They care about the citizens of the county and are willing to work with every citizens with integrity and respect. The office is super efficient and I see continued great things from the Tax Commissioners leadership!

I have had multiple problems with the state. They have canceled my registration twice. Then put the wrong tag number in the system. The deputy tax commissioner and the tax commissioner have been aways helpful even staying late on a Friday to fix the problem.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the Tax Commissioners office. No lines. Everyone greeted me as soon as I walked through the door.

Robin was extremely helpful and pleasant.
