Around Back At Rocky's Place

A treasure of a gallery, filled with striking artworks and most definitely worth a visit. Tracey welcomed us on our visit and she showed us around the gallery, answering all our questions about different artists patiently and expertly. We ended up buying a large work that required complex shipping arrangements, and Tracey was kind and efficient throughout the whole process. We'll be back soon!!!

Rocky's is the place you read about it the travel guides that sound so special and amazing. We have visited Rocky's place and make it a stop on all our visits to Georgia because they have the best and most complete collection of American Folk Art we've see in our travels.

Rocky's is run by two amazing women that have forged strong bonds with their artists to ensure only the best items are offered all at a fair and sometimes steal pricing.

I have wanted a painting by Cornbread for a long time. Recently I contacted Tracey at Around Back at Rocky's and she was wonderful! I received my painting on Monday and I love it. I hope to some day get to Dawsonville so I can see all the artists work at her gallery.

I love this place! So much to see, and the owners are friendly and very knowledgeable about all folk art. I could spend hours looking around and hearing the stories of the artists and their work. Worth the trip to the beautiful Georgia mountains to visit this incredibly unique gallery!

I love folk art and this place is like a museum. There are so many things to look at you almost dont know where to look. They specialize in works by cornbread but there is also some Howard Finster and Mose Tolliver and plenty of others. And the proprietor is a great lady.
