Great beer selection and we were so excited to see they carry Press Hard seltzer which is BY FAR the best seltzer on the market.

The tasting room was clean and the guy running the room and register was super cool and friendly!
We got a bunch of Christmas gifts for family and friends!

What a great place! Fantastic, friendly owners. Great draft beer selection and tons of different wines (by the glass or bottle). You can even boat up for a sip or two. Highly recommended!

We’re new to the area and have found Bacchus On the Lake to be a wonderful surprise. Great wines, great service and a great place to meet new friends. It’s our go-to place when we have a little decompression time. (The beer ain't bad either) Events are low key and fun. Their staff is very knowledgeable and advice is based on your preferences. Highly Recommended!

They are back open again and service was extremely friendly and helpful. One of the few places on the lake we can pull up on a boat and enjoy a tasty beverage and some good live music.

Ashlyn and Dave were friendly and so helpful. We stopped by to pick up a bottle of wine while staying in a hotel nearby and were lucky enough that there happened to be a free wine tasting going on. Dave was extremely knowledgeable about the wines, and Ashlyn gave us great recommendations for things to check out in the area. The wines were all reasonably priced and the view of the lake from the shop was gorgeous!

Fantastic little craft beer joint tucked away in the mountains. We were up here for the day, and were thoroughly impressed with everything. The bartender was super friendly, and had many good recommendations for the different beers.

Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a good beer house.

Bacchus on the Lake Wine Shop and Growlers get better by the day. Ashlyn the new owner and her staff are fabulous. Did I happen to mention fabulous.
They have a wonderful selection of wines, beer tasting by the flight, cigars and more.
Check calendar for events. Wine tasting, live music and if your on lake Chatuge you can simply pull up to their dock and come up and get your beverages. Wonderful establishment.

I don't care what anyone else says about Bacchus! I love this store and think the owners are amazing! Pricey? No not really! You get what you pay for. I've bought imported beer all over this country and they have very competitive prices and great selections! I've enjoyed buying from then for several years! I only have one negative thing to say about Bacchus. They don't have a store in West Monroe LA where I note live! Hey Ed, I miss y'all and wish you would branch out to Louisiana. I will stop by next time I go to NC!

Awesome setting on Lake Chatuge with beautiful views. Great selection of wines from around the world. Ashlyn, the owner, is awesome and very accommodating. Check their website for wine tasting and music events.

Great company with a wonderful selection of wines and beers. Came in just to kill some time and left with a delicious growler full of cider and some new wines to try. Owners were very nice to talk as well as their knowledgeable employee on the beer side. A+

Owners are nice. I visited the growler filling room. The guy that runs it is really nice. He was willing to stay past closing to get me what I wanted without rushing me. He seemed like he really wanted me to get what I wanted. I will have no problem coming back here. Great spot.

I haven't been the the wine selection side too much but I love the growler shop. The guys that work there are super friendly and definitely know their beer. It's a fun place to fill your growler and sit down for a sample of beer.

This store is great! I made a visit to the area from Tampa and Bacchus had all the local beers I was looking for, and then some. Great rotating tap selection as well. I recommend this shop to everyone looking for craft beer and will definitely be stopping by again the next time I’m in the area.

A great place to just chit chat, relax, simply take a break, taste and buy some wine with great people!! Call to find out about wine tastings and live music out on the patio!! I love me some "Sweet Sally" wine!!

Hiawassee isn't a big city, but it sure has an excellent beer shop. With a frankly amazing selection and a charming couple of owners, this place is an absolute jewel. I highly recommend a stop by the growler shop, where inventive and local brews are the name of the game and good conversation is on the house.
