I had the mullet and it was DELICIOUSLY, FRESH and HOT and seasoned well. Just the way I like it.

10/23/23 I went back here again on yesterday. I had the mullet plate with tater tots, hush puppies and collard green. Everything was good and freshly cooked. I love the way they prepare your plate. The juice from the greens didn't run onto to any of my fried foods to cause them to be soggy. The prices are reasonable. The staff is nice and friendly. I highly recommend this place and I will be back.

We are in town from Florida and found them on Google. Hands down best seafood I’ve ever had. We had the seafood platter that included, catfish, shrimp, oysters, deviled crab and 2 sides. I got the greens and fries. Everything was cooked perfectly and you could actually taste the seafood vs being overly breaded. Can’t say enough great things about this little restaurant. We will be back everytime we’re in town!!

I came to Americus from Florida and was googling somewhere to eat and came across the Fish House. I called and ordered a shrimp salad and it was delicious and I had enough shrimp to know I had some.

Outstanding service! We had catfish, fried to perfection. The hush puppies were great, fired okra was on point and the coleslaw was as good as I’ve had. The peel and eat shrimp were fresh and spiced just right. The waitress was busy but never missed checking on us. The price for the food was unbelievable! I only gave 4 stars for atmosphere because of the rustic nature but at the same time….it’s the hole in the wall kinda place you don’t want to miss. If we are back in Americus it is a definite stop!

Don't be fooled by the look of the building. It is a bit run down but the food is amazing!! The Salmon and Whole catfish were great. The only problem was everytime we ordered something, the waitress kept telling us that they ran out of that. If I'm ever back in the city I will surely stop by again...

I ordered catfish filets meal and a whole catfish meal...it was FRESH and HOT!! Love it...I keep forgetting about them so Thank you Sheppard House and Carter's Fried Chicken for closing early🤷‍♀

It’s a little hole in the wall! Don’t let the decor fool you, the food is amazing. We accidentally stumbled across this place and we are glad we did. The staff is very personable and they make you feel like family. We can not wait till next years state wrestling tournament. We plan on eating there both nights.

I had the low country boil and it was great I really enjoyed it there was enough to feed me and my wife both and we love talking to the people that work there great customer service and nice people

Food compares to places charging three times their prices. Chef knows his stuff. Friendly waitresses. Great laid back atmosphere with several tv's. Going back for sure!

This is a very unexpected gem hidden in a small town! Great service and the food was delicious. The steamer pot is yummy with the cajun butter! Sweet tea is great too!

Food was delicious. Our party of four had different items and we all enjoyed it. Had a dozen oysters too. Service was excellant.

Even though there was a fine wait, the food quality and freshness made up for the wait. Overall, all I can say is that I will be back to enjoy your fine establishment again.

My friends and I will come here like so many others do to sit outside and enjoy their really good food, drink beer and sit outside. My favorite is the tilapia which is hard to find. I don't know how they do it but they always hav excellent corn as well.
