We used Stonehouse for our wedding. Not only was our cake beautiful, it was also delicious. Jenn was super easy to work with and responsive. We had the cinnamon roll, cookies and cream and chocolate flavors and all were equally as delicious.

Lois and her team are insanely talented. They provided my wedding cake and cupcakes and my husband and I couldn't be happier! We had some interesting flavors but they all turned out great! [the maple bourbon bacon cupcakes were truly the star of the show] and our cookies and cream wedding cake and chocolate raspberry cupcakes were also delish!

We had always heard great things about Stone House and quickly book a tasting after we booked our venue.

Lois and her staff were really great to work with and completely got what our vision was for our big day. We ordered about 70 cupcakes in a variety of flavors including vanilla buttercream, smores, pumpkin, chocolate raspberry, boston cream, and pumpkin! (also highly recommend the tortoiseshell). And then we also got a 1 tiered cake in the smores flavor for my husband and I!

The cake was so moist and fresh and the flavors really shine through. And if you are worried about the cupcake size! Don't! They make a size right in between bite and a full cupcake for you guests to enjoy without getting stuffed after a big meal!

I cannot recommend this bakery enough and will be visiting a lot more in the future! (I'll edit the review with pics as soon as I can!)

Stone House provided us with the mid-mini cupcakes for our wedding. We had Stone House cupcakes at another wedding about a year ago, and when my wife and I started planning our wedding, we knew for certain that we had to get Stone House cupcakes for our wedding because they were that memorable! Lois at Stone House was very easy to work with and helped plan the cupcakes for our 130 person wedding. My wife and I also love the size of their “mid-mini” cupcakes…they’re smaller than a typical cupcake and perfect for two or three bites. We went with a variety of flavors and the guests couldn’t stop raving about the cupcakes! Seriously, they are that good! The flavors we went with: Hummingbird (Banana Bread), Key Lime, S’mores, Turtle, Choc PB, Lemon Raspberry, Irish Car Bomb and Cookie Dough. I highly recommend going through Stone House for your cupcake needs, you and your guests won’t be disappointed!

Lois and her team at Stone House take getting exactly what you want for your big day seriously! After getting recommended here from another vendor, we visited that same day to just check it out. We ended up eating from the cafe and it was delicious and made us so excited for our tasting.

Upon meeting Lois, she sat and talked with us about our wants for the wedding and what exactly we were looking for in a cake/desserts. To say she blew our expectations out of the water is an understatement! The cake was the best my now husband and I have ever had and the cannolis and mini cheesecakes were so yummy too! We are especially looking forward to getting to eat the top layer of our cake a year from now since we only got a few bites on the actual day haha!

We ordered lunch yesterday. 5 sandwiches, mac and cheese, and the twice baked potato salad. Called at 11:15, was told it wouldn't be ready until 12:15. A little bit of a wait. This was everyone's first time eating at Stone House. Let me say, worth the wait. Everything was so delicious!! Not one complaint in the bunch. Earlier this year we rented their room for a baby shower and they couldn't have been more accommodating. Even supplying a couple of white folding tables for us to use. We also purchased the mid-mini cupcakes; let me tell you the mid minis are the perfect size and every one just as delicious as the other. The only problem was selecting what flavors we wanted. Very happy with both experiences!! We will be back.

In town for a visit and found this little gem just up the road from a place we were planning on visiting. After reading the reviews we decided to try it out and we absolutely loved it! We went in for lunch and were quickly intoxicated with the smells of baked goods! Staying focused on our objective (lunch), the fella behind the counter brewed up a fresh pot of coffee for us while we reviewed the menu on the wall. He advised us the special of the day was a hot pot roast sandwich with onions and gravy on a ciabatta roll, with mashed potatoes. Sold me! My wife ordered an Italian sub with chips. They served us at the table and I was pleasantly surprised to see real, red skin mashed potatoes! We will be back again, and it's definitely worth the drive!

Stonehouse Cakery was a joy to work with for designing our wedding cake. Lois and team were incredibly accommodating - from changing flavors, adding tiers, and designing floral arrangements, our cake was a masterpiece - both in taste and design. They even created gluten free cupcakes for those in our party who needed the option. Fabulous service and products - 100% would recommend!

I ordered a custom cake for an anniversary party. I gave the Stone House cakery a color scheme and a few pictures for reference. What they created was stunningly gorgeous and absolutely delicious.

I also picked up a loaf of banana walnut bread, a Jewish apple cake, and an assortment of scones for the morning after brunch. The banana walnut bread was so good that a brunch guest who doesn't like bananas or walnuts thought it was great.

From the customer service to the creativity and the delicious baked goods I highly, highly recommend the Stone House Cakery. I can't wait to be back in the area to stop in for lunch.

HIGHLY recommend Lois and her staff! My now-husband and I visited her cafe for a wedding cake testing and were blown away not just by the yumminess of her cakes, but by the kindness and patience of her and her staff. She helped us select which flavors to have for each tier of our cake and which flavors to have as sheet cake (which I highly recommend as a cost- and time-saving alternative). She also offered very useful tips in designing the cake (olive leaves as opposed to eucalyptus) and choosing filling types that complement the flavor of the cake. On the day of our wedding, she hand-delivered the cake herself and beautifully finished up with decorations and our cake topper.

Lois's Stone House Cakery and Cafe was the first location we went to for cake tasting and the last. We were so impressed that after visiting we didn't even consider looking at others. Lois truly loves designing and providing the best wedding cakes and her passion comes through in her quality of work. Simply put, she's hands-down the BEST wedding cake caterer.

(Also highly recommend you try the Lavender Earl Gray cake...truly most unique and delicious cake flavor I've ever had. Can't wait for our anniversary to eat the top tier of our wedding cake!)

We used Stone House for our wedding cake and cupcakes. Everyone, including us, LOVED the desserts! They were great to work with, we were able to use a cake stand provided by them. We highly recommend them! Whenever we are back in town we try to stop in for cupcakes and their lunch specials.

I bought the lavender early gray cupcakes to bring to a luncheon and they were delicious. Such a beautiful selection of baked goods. I will definitely be back.

I was SO excited about the cake tasting and dessert part of the wedding (huge sweet tooth) and Stone House did not disappoint. We got married in Taneytown but looked at bakeries all over Maryland and I was shocked at some of the prices I found... for cakes.... Stone House was so incredibly reasonably priced, especially for the value. We went for a tasting and there was no way we could say no. Easily the best cake I've ever had and such unique flavors. Lois and the other woman working just kept bringing us cupcakes and cookies to try. We probably had about 6 or 7 total! We ended up choosing red velvet, almond raspberry, vanilla strawberry, and everyones favorite- Irish Car Bomb. We also did three different types of cookies, which were also delicious and so soft. Sometimes it can be hard to reach Lois but that's just life for a small town bakery I'm sure, I trusted her to deliver and she did not disappoint! Oh also, they do little pastry platters and sandwich trays which we did for the bridal party the day of for lunch and breakfast, worked out perfectly! The cake turned out so beautiful, I wish we could have kept it forever!

Definitely would recommend! Drove an hour and got stuck in traffic for husband's birthday to check this out because our daughter recently visited their food truck. She brought us back some amazing cupcakes! We got to the bakery right before closing and the staff couldn't be nicer, didn't rush us and we got tons of awesome treats and they even have take home / to go frozen crab soup and pot pies! Need to go back soon earlier so we can try their lunch menu. Would definitely recommend trying this place! Yum City! ☺

Stone House is absolutely delicious! Lois was awesome to work with us. When I second guessed myself in quantity, Lois talked to me that what I order was good and she was spot on right. We had 3 people who said they weren't cake people, try a cupcake and then ate several of the flavors. The cupcakes were the talk of the wedding. :) Thank you Lois and staff

We had our 3 tier wedding cake and 72 mini cupcakes for our wedding on Saturday. Everything way so tasty and the staff was a joy to work with. I will share pictures when they are in!

Mrs. Lois has baked for numerous events of mine including my Wedding and several birthday Parties I have hosted. She is the best!!! My wedding cake had three flavors, salted caramel, almond, and red velvet. I have also had the death by chocolate and lemon flavored cupcakes. Everything is amazing!

We had a complicated order for our vow renewal ceremony at Georges of York, not only gluten free but dairy free with one of the recipes needing a special ingredient. What a huge relief to be able to trust in these lovely people to deliver a safe and FANTASTIC gluten free cake and TREMENDOUS GF/DF vanilla cupcakes with DF chocolate chips and unbelievable mint icing. We stopped in for lunch the day before and the sandwiches and chicken salad were also fantastic. Thank you all so much for a truly special set of desserts.

This place is a hidden gem in Taneytown, Md. I heard of this place for their baked goods, which are absolutely delicious, but their sandwiches and salads are a much added bonus. Must check them out if you’re ever in town. Well worth it.
