The food was great! I asked for over-med eggs and got it! The potatoes were just wonderful! Even down to my toast- it was buttered to my liking...The waitress was so pleasant and personable! It made you feel like they wanted you there! Thank you for a great experience! Pastor Judy ✝

If you are in/near Taneytown, MD this is a must visit. Small, family owned diner with the most amazing comfort food. Only open for breakfast and lunch, we ate breakfast twice on our recent visit. Once just wasn't enough! The food is cooked fresh after you order, so it takes a bit longer than fast food, but it's so worth the wait. With our party of 7 we ate a bit of everything. The biscuit and gravy divine, the omelets very generous and delicious, the French toast and waffles amazing. You can't go wrong!

We always enjoy hopping over to the Country Kitchen for some breakfast on the weekends. The food was good, service great, and everyone left with full bellies.

Great little find passing through. Service was great at the bar. Food was delicious. Wife had a feta spinach omelet that was loaded with it. Usally you can barely find the fillings. Worth the stop.

Family type restaurant. Feels like you are sitting in someone's kitchen. I had a western omelette with bagel and ham. Perfectly cooked. Coffee was always full. Loved it. Good prices, excellent service.

Great example of a mom-and-pop restaurant in nearby Taneytown Maryland. Food is always good there, we've been there several times. It is small, but they managed to keep social distancing the protocols in effect. Prices are very very reasonable. I'll always look for reason to stop there when I'm in that part of town. Worth the drive, two thumbs up

Amazing food! Everyone in the group enjoyed everything! I had the biscuits and sausage gravy, plus I added an over-easy egg and toast.

We found this place because we were looking for a breakfast place to stop at before hiking. We love it! The plate sizes are BIG, the food is tasty, and the cost can't be beat. Hometown atmosphere. Wonderful service. We will definitely come back.

What a treasure to be found in Taneytown!
Breakfast was delicious - and we sampled the biscuits and gravy, the cheese omelet with homefries, the meat omelet that included ham, sausage, bacon and cheese, and Bess and Ben's Breakfast Special. Everything was homemade, to order, and thoughtfully seasoned, and we left well-satisfied. Our server took our coffee request seriously and our joshing with good humor. The prices were quite reasonable for the generous portions. We'd definitely return!

This place is very near and dear to my heart. The kids absolutely love going here. My wife loves it. The food is always so good it’s hard to keep it to only weekends! I personally get the western omelette with beef hash and scrapple. My boys 1 gets an omelette. 1 gets the strawberry pancakes. 1 gets the blueberry (I think it’s blueberry) while my wife will usually get a sandwich of some sort! They are quick and priced fair. 10/10 recommend.

The place had a nice homey atmosphere. The food was great and as with anything good you'll have to wait a bit. Service was refreshing. Probably as close to home cooking as a restaurant can get.

My wife dragged me out of the house one day because I had gotten home from work early. She said I was to choose where we would go. I chose this place because I was super tired, didn't really want to go anywhere and this place was pretty damn close.

We both had Pancakes. Hers where 2 blueberry and mine was 3 plain with butter and powdered sugar. I also had 2 eggs over easy with toast and home fries and she also ordered sausage gravy on a biscuit. Every thing was cooked to near perfection and tasted like grandma's kitchen on Saturday morning. The Pancakes was absolutely monstrous. Mine alone sucked up almost a half container of maple syrup. I swear I almost had to tap out. My wife seemed to enjoy all hers also. She brought half of her Pancakes home in a to go tray they provided. In the end it ended up being around $30 not including tip.

They're only open til 2pm so you younger ones will have to get up pretty early to make it.

Food was delicious. The only thing wrong was I asked for Swiss cheese in my omelet and got American cheese.
Home fries were awesome.
