I haven't yet written a review, because I intended to send a thank you card, but since that is delayed, let me just say that these people did some amazing things. I rescued a puppy who'd been hit twice by cars and was near starvation. She had such a will to live that I consulted this institution (had heard they were one of the best in the country), and they performed two surgeries on her hind legs/hips/feet, after which she spent a good month in rehab.

What can I say? The communication from this group was solid (thank you Reid and Julie!), and they sent pictures and video of her progress (I was out of the country). To Dr Day and the other lady doctor (whose name I cannot remember at the moment): thank you for being excellent providers! I was concerned about these surgeries, but was more than surprised that this little girl (her name is Clementine) can now walk almost normally. The services and abilities of these people are world class. I am still in somewhat of a degree of awe at just how well it all went.

To the entire staff of this incredible veterinary hospital, I say THANK YOU, and wish you all the happiest of Seasons!

I want to start by saying that these were some of the most compassionate people I have ever had the pleasure of talking with.

We brought our cat, Simon, in for what we expected to be a routine surgery to correct a hernia. But as the doctors proceeded, they found much more damage than their scans showed. Our poor boy didn't make it, but the doctors fought for over 8 hours to try and save his life and keep him stable. When we finally had to pull the plug, they were the most compassionate crew and took care of us and our son as if he was their own.

I want to thank Dr. Bennett and her crew and our student nurse, Will, for putting 110% into taking care of our boy.

These people are wonderful. I have been taking my Great Dane (Zeus) to MSU a little over a year now and have met so many people there … all very caring, patient and thoroughly explain every step along the way. My boy had to stay over a weekend after surgery, and I was updated frequently the whole time, with pictures and progress on everything. They went above and beyond in making us as comfortable as possible on our journey.

Fantastic group of doctors and vet students. It is awesome having so many specialists in one place. I took my horse there for long term on again off again lameness.. he was struggling to walk. Doctor Gonzalez brought in 2 other doctors to help him solve the problem. He set a treatment plan that worked within my budget. Brady has now been lamness free for 3 months and is able to be ridden. He also helped us determine what level of work he could do and stay healthy for many years to come. Even the scheduler and office people are top notch. Very fortunate to have such a great resource within an 1.5 hour drive time.

I live in TX and was told by our veterinary university that Mississippi State University was the closest avian specific laboratory. Though they were having some phone issues when I initially called, they passed my questions to one of the staff doctors. He spent about 20 minutes reviewing our concerns and going over tests and procedures with us in great detail. He answered all of my questions and showed so much empathy to our situation. Though I didn't visit the facility in person, their staff was nothing short of amazing in their efforts to assist us.

We brought our 6 month old bulldog from Tennessee here for emergency treatment and surgery. From the minute we walked in, we felt seen and heard. He was given the best care ANYWHERE! I was able to speak face to face with members of his care team, and his assigned student vet Joseph called and updated me at least twice a day. He is wonderful! I heard from his surgeon and ICU doctor everyday. He was there 6 days , and we never once worried about his care. He recovered beautifully , and when I brought him back for post op check, he was so happy and excited to see members of his care team again! I cannot express our how grateful and thankful we are that this Vet school is here. It’s the best thing we could have done for our sweet Natty!

If your beloved pet needs emergency care don’t waste precious time on local ER Vet clinics. MSU ER clinic is just 2 hrs 15 mins from Shoals (if your pet can wait that long to be seen) take them there. The care they will receive is the best!

I am so grateful for these compassionate loving people. I brought my precious goat, Buford, to them and although he did not make it. I couldn’t have went through everything without the wonderful vet students and vets at MSU. Even though I didn’t get to bring my sweet boy home they made sure to send me updates daily and loved him dearly when I couldn’t be there. A couple weeks after Buford passed I received a sympathy card in the mail from them it had so many kind loving words in it that it made my heart just a little lighter: I WILL FOREVER BE GRATEFUL TO EACH OF THEM! THANK YOU MSU FROM ALABAMA Special thank you to a very special vet student Abby and to Dr Bean for understanding how much my sweet little goat meant to me!

We made an appointment with the neurologist (Dr. Beasley) for an MRI. She is really good and very kind. After the results she helped us to find a spot time in the orthopedic center for our dog in the very same day, to save us to come back just for an evaluation. She is still in contact with us due to the treatment/therapy that my dog will have there. Really good place and staff

A few weeks ago my puppy got sick and i took him at the vet school. They were so amazing to my baby and took such good care of him. When we got home the vet called for a few day just to make sure he was doing okay, she was just the sweetest! Definitely recommend!

The staff and students took great care of my dog. They gave me the diagnosis and my options. They kept me informed every step of the way while my dog was under their care. They also took the time to answer each of my questions and explain anything I didn't understand. They took care of my dog like she was their own.

I had heard great things from a local veterinarian and friends about Veterinary School when it was recommended. A high expectation was set before I arrived¸ I have to say these wonderful people lived up to my expectations.

Best Vet service I have ever seen and was hands down the least expensive place in the southeast. I received multiple phone calls and pictures the entire time my pup was there to keep me up to date on progress.

After a series of issues, my 2 year old cat, Simon, went into liver failure. Another local vet told me he was fine (even though his skin was yellow and he hadn't eaten in days). The entire experience was a nightmare from beginning to end. The staff and vets gave me hope that he would get through it. From putting in his esophagostomy tube to answering calls in the middle of the night, they were with us every step of the way. Simon is 8 years old now, and I know that is only because of the care he received here. I will be forever grateful to the vets and students who gave him his life back.

Were there at veterinary neurology for our little JoJo that had a herniated disc. They were so kind and professional. I'm pretty sure JoJo was a lucky boy we were traveling and they were close to us.
