Dr.Laura Wittwer is an exceptional doctor. She is that rare combination of being a gifted surgeon who also has
a warm and professional rapport with her patients.
Her entire team at Rutherford Surgical is outstanding....but I would be remiss if I did not mention her nurse, Paula. From the minute you walk in, Paula's warmth conveys that everything...
no matter what... is going to be fine.

Dr. Edgerton and his team are the best. He has the best patient/doctor mannerism. He does not rush and listens to you, caring and accommodating to your needs. His team is so nice and friendly. You are their main concern when you are being seen. These doctors/staff are highly recommended!

All of these doctors were so amazing when my husband was recently in the hospital! She was so professional they always explained everything to us so we could understand it! Amazing bed side manner also which is so unusual! Thank God for amazing Doctors here in RUTHERFORD County NC!!

I would like to express my thanks to Dr. Andrew Demeusy, the team at Rutherford Surgical Associates and the staff at Rutherford Regional Hospital. My recent surgery could not have gone better and the skill and professionalism of everyone involved was wonderful. From my first meeting with Dr. Demeusy to my pre-op appointment and day of surgery I felt I was in good hands. Thank you so much to each and every one of you.

The staff here are wonderful! Always very friendly, caring, and accommodating. Dr. Edgerton eased my doctor’s office anxiety and nurse Paula is always happy to help. Overall amazing experience. Well, as amazing as going to the doctor can be.

My 89 year old mother had extensive hernia repair. Dr. Wittwer did an excellent job explaining what would happen. During surgery they kept me informed. During recovery at the hospital, Dr. Wittwer was there checking on her. Once released and going for follow-up, both office staff and the doctor were great. Dr. Wittwer was simply outstanding from start to finish. We appreciate what you do!

As a result of an emergency visit to the ER due to appendicitis, surgery for my daughter was scheduled. I did not know who the surgeon was or what to expect, but I walked away with no complaints. Dr. Demeusy was kind and positive. His smile was contagious even under the mask (which is nice in a stressful situation). The surgery went well and the incisions healed nicely. Superb job! Even the office staff at the follow up visit were friendly and pleasant. I am very pleased with the service we received and can honestly say, I walked away with absolutely no complaints. Thanks for a job well done!

Dr. Andrew Demeusy and his staff were awesome during my mother's cancer journey. Dr. Demeusy and my mother's Navigational Nurses were wonderful about explaining what my mother could expect regarding her lumpectomy and recovery. They were patient and considerate and were careful to answer any and all questions she had. We are very grateful to have had such an amazing oncology team in the area!

I have never had surgery until recently...i had to have my gallbladder removed. I am 65 years old!!! I was so stressed out about the procedure but everyone assured me I would feel better after it was removed. I also have had some health issues that they were aware of and once again assured me that they are factoring those issues in also. Everyone in the outpatient department, surgical staff and especially Dr. Demeuseys and his staff were just wonderful. My hats to all of you...thank you for restoring my health and working with someone as stubborn as myself.

Dr. Edgerton did a wonderful job with my surgery. He explained everything he was doing before hand, and my surgery didn't take long at all. My after care was also wonderful. Cindy and Amanda were always helpful at answering any questions and concerns I had when I called the office. I would recommend Rutherford Surgical to anyone.

Dr. Wittwer and her office staff at Rutherford Surgical Associates are the best. They have a nice and friendly atmosphere. She listens well, very concerned of your needs and she let me know from beginning to the end what was going on and what to expect, very informative!!!!....my mastectomy surgery went well and healing without any complications. Dr. Wittwer is an excellent surgeon and I would highly recommend her for your surgery needs. I am truly thankful to Dr. Wittwer and Rutherford Surgical Associates!!!

Had a knee replacement. Had blockage in back of knee after surgery. Dr Roberts asked Dr Andrew Demusey for his opinion. He checked my leg, immediately sent me to radiology to get a CAT scan. Found I had a blocked vessel in the back of my knee. He get his support group back into OR and a emergency surgery to remove the blockage. I could have lost my leg if he hadn't found and repaired this. He is very professional and great doctor. I would recommend him to anyone

The entire staff was very friendly, caring, and professional. Dr. Demeusy was very patient and listened to my Daddy’s concerns and helped us determine his problem. Paula was an excellent nurse. We are so fortunate to have these wonderful healthcare professionals in Rutherfordton.

From the first phone conversation to the check up after the procedure, this office was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The office staff was accommodating and Dr. Edgerton and his nurse were knowledgeable and kind to my daughter. They did an excellent job with her procedure.

My husband had Dr. Wittwer for his surgery. We both were pleased with her expertise and care. He had some complications and was monitored extremely well by Dr. Wittwer. The office staff is A-1 in our opinion! Hopefully, neither of us will require their service again, but if we do this is where we will go!

Dr. Demeusy met me in the Emergency room at the hospital. He was very caring and gave me such good advice and treatment . At his regional offices they were all very helpful , caring and pleasant. Highly recommend them to others in the area. Very good.

I can't recommend Rutherford Surgical Associates enough, they are the BEST! The staff is friendly and very helpful. Dr. Laura Wittwer is incredible. She is helping me resolve my issues, she takes the time to listen, she cares and is very skilled in her profession.

Recently had to have my gallbladder removed. The staff and Dr. Wittwer asnwered all my questions and made me feel less stressed about my first surgery. Very friendly staff and office is always clean. Also i haven't had to wait very long from the time i walk in.

Just had colonoscopy procedure by Dr. Demeusy, the experience was exceptional, (as well as a colonoscopy can be). From the first office visit to the last everyone was professional, and very friendly. This was my first encounter with Dr. Demeusy and his staff, Appointments were efficient and on time. Dr. Demeusy communicated well, to make sure I understood the procedure. I would recommend Rutherford Surgical Associates for any of you medical needs.
