Downhome Family Restaurant

I spent a few minutes talking with the owner the other day. The owner is a delightful woman who believes in good service and good, simple, home cooked food. She employs a lot of people and offers good food at a decent price. Don't let a full parking lot make you think you will have a long wait. You won't! And they have a pick up window if you want to take your food home. Enjoy!

Breakfast was outstanding. Service was faster than a lot of fast food establishments. Really friendly service. Will have to stop back in if I come back through this area.

Absolutely AMAZING. Traveling from Illinois and we love trying small hometown restaurants and this one takes the cake! Their chicken strips are to die for. And their cheese cake is a MUST HAVE! I def dropped a pin for here for future visits.

Friendly get together good food good. Service always see friends and neighbors there. The most beautiful Christmas tree surrounded by large bags of gifts

For our weekly visit together, my dad and I most often frequent Downhome for Monday lunch. Consistency is its best quality. We always know that no matter what we eat there, it's sure to be plenty and taste pretty good. The atmosphere hasn't changed much in the fifteen years I remember. They did put in a drive through in recent years, although it's not the same as dining in. Simply perfect at being perfectly simple. Don't miss this Camden gem!

Wonderful Service, excellent food, my hamburger steak was cooked just right and tasted great! And it was served not long after we ordered! Highly recommended!

While working nearby, a friend introduced us to this restaurant. We have been back at least 5 more times since for lunch with times ranging from early lunch, straight up 12:00 and even a late lunch at almost 1:30. The parking lot may look full, but they have plenty of room and will get you in and out!
They have an excellent menu for a plate lunch with several veggies to choose from, or you can pick the dessert. ALL the servers help each other and all are friendly. They take the time to come check on you, fill your tea or get what you need regardless of who took your order. I counted at least 6 servers on a average day, possibly more.
Plate lunch menu varies from day to day and so far we have tried at least 3 or 4 different meals. All were very good!! So good that I ventured off with my wife for lunch one day. I haven't been here for anything other than lunch, but could only imagine that anything on the menu would be great!
This is a must stop place when near Camden!!
