Cedar Creek Park

It's just a cool little out of the way spot to walk around, take a picnic and watch the geese and ducks swim around. Watch the geese though, they're kinda shady and will come up to you honking. It was a bit too cold for me to do anything but take a walk around the lakeside to the boat ramp and docks. A friend showed me this place today. I never knew this park was out here but I'll come back on warmer weather and try to see more of the area.

Very beautiful location. Some people are here, but it's not crowded or anything.

The park is beautiful, very well-kept and maintained with rocky cliffs, limestone formations, manmade dam, hiking trails, camping, public restrooms. This place has it all. I will plan a longer visit next time.

We love this place. Used to be kind of rough with lots of long term campers who were trashing the place but it's cleaned up now and we love it there.

Love this park..great location and not too busy

This is a beautiful free spot to stay at with a pavillion with a covered bench and table at many of the spots and fire pits bathroom was unlocked and had plenty of tp the only complaint I have is that they could've had trash cans throughout the park and maybe there wouldn't be so much trash scattered everywhere, not that I'm making an excuse for the lazy inconsiderate ppl out there that get a beautiful free spot to crash at and don't have enough decency to clean up after themselves, ppl like that are the ones that get these places taken from everybody else. There was a dumpster at the end that I walked my trash to. Anyway I came here with my man and our pop-up camper and I would definitely recommend it and will be back to stay if ever I'm passing thru here again.

Good campsites that are free. Free boat ramp. Not much for kids as far as a play area. Bathrooms were acceptable, nice picnic areas. Good fishing.

My husband and l have been comeing to lake whitney for 47 years. We have spent a lot of hours camping at cedar creek park. Lost my husband last may due to cancer, but l ended up moving down here. About 10 minutes from cedar creek park. I had the pleasure of marring my 2nd cousin and his girlfriend at cedar creek park. It was a beautiful scenrey, and brought back a lot of wonderful memories. Beautiful place, and good camp grounds, includes nice people and access to a boat dock. Free entry is amazing :)

Good park, one of the best free parks on the lake. Been coming here since the 1970's.

I CAMP AT THIS PARK QUITE FREQUENTLY. AMPLE SPACE BETWEEN CAMP SITES. LOTS OF WILDLIFE TO ENJOY...ESPECIALLY DEER. GOOD FISHIN TOO IF UR LUCKY.
