First Baptist Church

Great place for pickleball; spacious rec center - 3 courts with portable nets and permanent lines, carpet on walls for noise. Some 2.5-3.0s, mostly 3.5-4.0 players and at times 4.5’s when the weather is bad. Most follow rec’s rules and play 1 set to 11, but there’re a few who will play 2 sets in a row. Cheat by not calling the scores out loud. Last Monday, there was 20 players (max number to sign up is 25) but can get quite crowded with people just showing up. Overall friendly people and competitive rec play.

Went there for a presentation of Kairos Prison Ministry. This is a real good ministry. It spreads the Word of God at the McConnell unit in Beeville and world wide.

Very welcoming beautiful church with a spectacular view. Great Parents Day Out program with very kind caring staff.

I love this church. I have been going here for 4 and a 1/2 years with my family the staff is amazing the people are friendly available quite diverse in age aninspirational growth levels. There are always community outreach events and ways to get plugged in to serve which if you're going to church you need to be doing.

I started attending this church when I moved here and have joined the journeys class. I don't particularly like the modern or blended services because I am of the traditional southern Baptist convention and prefer the old style of worship not loud music and video lyrics.

They offer so many activities here. I do not attend their their church. The MOPs group, in my humble opinion, is the best. Wednesday free play for toddlers is great to beat the heat. The mothers that attend are so friendly. If someone doesn't come up and say hello, I personally know most of them are welcoming enough to just come over and jump in!

Great Baptist church to visit if you're in the area over a weekend. If you want contemporary with a younger crowd or more traditional with an older crowd with more families, they have two simultaneous services at 10:30. Very helpful and friendly people, seems like a big great Baptist family. Plenty of parking. Air conditioning can get pretty cold in the summer so wear long pants. My wife was glad she brought a little sweater. Attended a very friendly and fun Sunday school--were welcomed right in and offered donuts, even. Will go back if in the area again. I'd recommend to any Baptists or travelling Evangelicals of any stripe.

I love it here too, Pastor shared with me his fervent support of Joe Biden but I told him even if you won't tell your congregation I appreciate you being a good man. It's no ones business who he is voting for💟

The ladies and gentlemen were very friendly, polite, helpful, caring it was my first time . Thank you 😊 from the bottom of our hearts my husband and I .My husband blind, dual aputee, cancer patient we are blessed. God Bless everyone.

Loved the choir and orchestra! Pastor shares a biblically sound, clear message.... a great place to hear the Truth--that God loves someone like me.

My son had a great VBS experience this year. Everything was so organized and everyone was so friendly. Thanks FBC!

I am a volunteer for the Red Cross and a large number of our associates stay (they temporarily live here) at the recreation center behind the main church bldg. The people at First Baptist are giving us all a new definition of the words fellowship and hospitality, and I wanted to share this with anyone looking in reviews of this first class House of God.

I'm blessed baptist student union del mar collage and mobile RV ministries love and care charity undeniable faith that gives hope to helpless a Church of spiritual growth for youths and senior adults. I failed you as a member but their are fond memories what strength and stamina 10 mile walk every sunday not even a sweet how good the lord was to me in those days. You member are great in faith i pray for you all and may the clerical leadership senior pastor,deacons,music director,choirs, ushers,Sunday school teachers,musician's,office staff and finally the bless pet of congregation. May the Lord God sustain every members good fortune, homes vehicles, marriages,health and for each of every server of words of god jesus christ in red letters may your tables be blessed with an abundance of food? Our mission team helping with disaster relief stayed at the FBC rec center for three nights. Awesome staff and great church!

I still miss my church I was 16 when our parents moved us to Los Angeles ,those 16 years bring back warm memories Rev.Gonzales was our pastor .I pray I'll be able to visit once more this June and be with family for our 60th anniversary the Lord willing.Alicia Gamboa Moreno
