The Lodge on Serenity Cove

I cant say enough about this place. It's small and quiet. A great place to get away and enjoy some quiet time. The people are always friendly and welcoming. The restaurant on site is wonderful. I honestly suggest the lodge for a get away or fishing trip.

Great place to camp out for a weekend. NA meetings are held here every three months and this place is peaceful. The service is friendly and the people are friendly. I enjoy coming here. A hidden gem of Texas.

Nice quiet place on lake whitney, you gotta have the fish from the restaurant.

We had dinner at The Cove Restaurant a couple of weeks ago. The catfish dinner was large and delicious. Three of us had that and loved it. One had a steak dinner. That was small and not so great. The service was perfect. Waitress was awesome and kept our drinks full. We will be back!!

Wonderful time and experience. The rooms aren't fancy but serves their purpose. Awesome pool, and the views are amazing. Food and service excellent 👍

Remote, but worth finding. The catfish was awesome. We plan on going back for sure.They are part of The Lodge, which looked like a cool relaxing place to stay for a get away. Can't wait to try the chicken fried steak as big as the plate.

People are friendly & the food in the restaurant there was absolutely wonderful. Way better than expected. The fried catfish served on Friday was the Bomb! Apparently there are new owners & they are getting the place worked on & some repairs made. I can't wait to see what they accomplish by next summer. Still beautiful place & view. Great view from restaurant. Breakfast was very tasty. Prices very reasonable. I'm going to go back soon. Also has boat ramp & boat dock. Overall I had a great time & looking forward to next visit. Looking better all the time. Great place for a family reunion or a couple. You don't have to twist Angela's arm for a boat ride. She usually offers if she isn't working around the place. Good hearted people and it doesn't take long to notice. Pool & pool area are clean. I love it & feel refreshed after a visit. It's a little hidden, but it's worth finding. 😄

I only visited the restaurant here. This is a hidden gem! Food was soooooo delicious! I had the hamburger steak and my wife had the chicken fried steak

When I think comfort food the Lodge comes to mind. It is like having lunch at moms house with friends and family. Now that I have had the pleasure of staying in one of the rooms I don't want to leave. The laid back charm of this place is priceless. If you want to relax or go adventure you have found your place. Reasonable prices, friendly staff, comfortable rooms what more could you ask for?
This place is not fancy so if you are looking for the Ritz, go there. We will be just fine without you. This place is family owned and operated. I can't remember the last time I found a Treasure like this and the food is amazing! I ate lunch yesterday and because they serve real food, I was not hungry the rest of the day.
Come and enjoy your family while staying with their family. Remember to show them some love, because they show us a lot of love with everything they do here.

The cabins are rustic, not the Marriott. Would make a great place to have a reunion and such. Great fishing spot out front. Lots aof green areas around as well as a swimming pool.

Me and my family love this place. Pam and Mark and the staff are amazing. Pam the owner is a sweet lady. Mark the cafe cook is the best cook in my book. The rest of the staff are great too. The view is is amazing. We go there at least once a month. And going back soon. We Love you all at the Lodge!!!!!

We had breakfast there Sunday morning. I had a big omelette and it was awesome! Very good toast also. My wife had biscuts and gravy and she said they were great also. Good dinner here also. We've had the steak and shrimp plate and hamburger steak plate

Homey, comfortable atmosphere with a lovely view of the lake. Indoor or outdoor dining. Prices are very reasonable. Specialty burgers are generous and flavorful. Pizza requires a wait (or call in your order), but it is some of the best I've had. Catfish is excellent, side dishes are mediocre. Service is friendly and personal. There are also cabins, a swimming pool, and access to boat ramp.

The lodge is great! The swimming pool is excellent. The diner has a delicious chicken fried steak. Some cabins are newer than others so plan accordingly. I have been coming here for almost 40 years now!

Super sweet people and their restaurant is delicious! My car broke down and I hate asking to borrow tools but then they were super nice so I got "her" up and running again. Good, quiet place to chill out, have quiet time, or relax by the pool. You can walk to the water as well. Nice to have super nice ppl when you're down on your life and need a moment.

Really nice cabin we stayed overnight in! The cafe served a delicious breakfast. Beautiful patio area as well.🥀🥀👍

Wonderful, peaceful, relaxing family friendly place. It's a nice lil hidden spot in whitney. The management is laid back and allowed us to stay past our check out time which made our holiday weekend that much better. We will definitely be back, and try the good smelling home cooked food.

Oh heck yes. This place is perfect for a fishing trip or just a getaway. It is not a 5 star hotel and that is part of the attraction of it. I would recommend that everyone spend a few nights in a place like this to get back to what is important, people. Thanks to the owners who keep this place as authentic and original as possible.
