Monticello Utah Welcome Center

We stopped in to ask about The Needles District of Canyonlands and was greeted by JIM. he was super helpful with directions, maps, local trails, things to do and made a fabulous recommendation for lunch (Gustov's Mexican Restaurant.) Everything he suggested was wonderful. He is a wonderful ambassador foe Monticello and the surrounding area. Thanks so much Jim and Monticello. We had a fabulous day.

There was the cutest little replica of the town when it became a township in the early 1900s.
The lady working there was the nicest person and told us about the town and shared knowledge. The kids loved her and gave her a hug when we had to leave.

We popped in for a quick look around and we were surprised. This is a great spot to learn about Monticello. Most of all we enjoyed talking with the lady who was working at the museum, she was great, we will stop in to see her again.

Excellent visitors center. Staff is very friendly and informative. Museum is a nice collection. Don’t miss the village recreation diorama showing a recreation of every home and business in this town.

I pulled into the visitor center on a Tuesday afternoon and accidentally locked my keys in the car. Jim who was working that day was very gracious and called around and had aSean and George were there within minutes and opened my door, no charge! I am so grateful for the kindness shown to a weary traveler. Thank you gentlemen for proving small town hospitality is alive and well!

Very informative and helpful staff. Some very good directions. They need a better map of the county with road numbers on it

So very helpful and provided us information and a small map to an area and road few travel. Would not have been able to enjoy that as part of our road trip without their assistance.

This is a nice visitor center with a great little museum. It was quite interesting to look around and the electric vehicle charging here is an added bonus.

I really enjoyed the little free history museum attached to the welcome center. It makes a sense of Lisa all the helpful brochures!

Waited around for them to open at 9 like the sign says. After multiple employees walked in seeing us waiting and not saying anything, we walked around to the front door at 9:14 (not near the guest parking and the door guests would use) to find a sign that there is a meeting until noon. Very unprofessional and a waste of time. Skip this place and get your maps and visitor info in Moab or blanding.

Pulled into the Welcome Center at 3:45 pm and they were Closed. Website said they were Open and closed at 7:00 pm. Need to get their act together.
