I really enjoyed my stay there. The bathroom was art deco, really cool! Great shower! The only detraction was that the first night was really cold because the heater is up high and warmed up the top couple feet of the room and shut off. Otherwise, if you like the single floor older motels, and I do, this is a keeper!

Reasonable price. Ground level rooms with parking in front of the room. Was a great stay on my road trip. Staff is friendly. I'd definitely stay again. This is now a "location" on my road trip list of places to go again.

This was a absolute wonderful spot , outside of overated, and overpriced Moab. Nestled in a beautiful ❤ small town . The room was extremely comfortable with a touch of home feel , coffee in room , with the basic amenities. Best sleep ever! I will be staying again.

Friendly management, nice-sized room, and pet-friendly!

I had my own ideas of what a pet friendly hotel would smell like, but I would have never known that pets had been allowed in this room; it not only looked looked clean, it also smelled clean. There were plenty of places to walk the dog; there is a park practically across the street!

Highlights:

Great location
Very comfortable bed
Toiletries were provided
Air conditioner was phenomenal
Minimal noise from other rooms
Shower rather than tub combo
Plenty of hot water

Very cute Motel in a small town. The internet was good, the room small but well furnished and the bathroom is really cute (pastels). The staff was really nice to us!

I stayed here on a few occasions while I have been hiking/camping in the Needles. It has been a great place to come and relax in between trips. It is very clean, nice and quiet, and the owners are very friendly and helpful! The rates are reasonable as well.

The room was very quiet! Loved parking steps from the door for loading and unloading. The ice maker was super easy to find with the sign on the door seen from everywhere. The room darkening shades were perfect and there was a cute dinner table with a chandelier along with a desk that really made it feel like home. You can bring your pet! So nice and easy and I’ve stayed at a few motels. Very safe and quaint.

Room was clean. Owner was very kind. He talked about the local life and recommended a good place for us to have breakfast. You can tell he cares about providing a comfortable place to rest your head. We couldn’t find any other places available in the area late that night and we called and he held a room for us until we arrived. 10/10 would recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Late night driving through Monticello, moving with two kitties in a very uncomfortable uhaul for 11 hours. The room I had reserved from a different hotel denied my stay due to my kitties even after website said they were allowed. I called this Motel and she was super friendly and allowed me to stay in a room which pets were allowed. I was so grateful! We were so tired and upset from not having a place to stay. Super nice and caring people, I appreciate your kindness on our long journey.

What a nice surprise this motel is! The staff is friendly and the room was very clean. I wasn't expecting such a nice place in a tiny town. I couldn't get cell phone service, but that was the only bad thing. Everything about this motel was pleasant. There is even a large play area for dogs that has deep, green grass. It was the best motel on our trip!

The Monticello Inn is correctly advertised as a simple road side 2star motel. It is a simple and quaint motel that will meet your needs for the evening. The front desk was courteous. You could tell within minutes it was a small family owned business.

We are visiting in town for some desert races and so we chose to stay here for the night. The boys spent time riding their bike and scooter in the parking lot with the owners kids who even showed my kids their family chickens in the back.

They had a good time. Room was clean. It is an other motel so for what we were needing for the night it fit the bill. Thank you!

We were lucky to find this place. Very nice people run this. The staff and owners will see to it that you have a pleasant stay You park by the door and carry your bags right in....no stairs. Reasonable prices and they don't raise the prices if you stay here on the weekend, which is great for us

I really liked it here. Clean, quaint room in a good location for this leg of my trip.
Coffee maker, fridge, and microwave were big bonuses at this price point (or just luxuries since I'd just spent a week outside in the desert).
Housekeeping was pleasant and friendly. Same for front desk.
Close to a Family Dollar which was convenient for what I needed.
Monticello is a nice, small town.
Would not hesistate to stay here again.

I just concluded my second stay in a year at the Monticello Inn and was just as pleased with the value I experienced for my dollar as I was the first time. For 60-75$ plus tax, depending on the day, you can anticipate genuine kindness from the owners (booking, check in), a clean room, and all of the standard services (wifi, cable, fridge, microwave). Let me add that I'm a digital nomad and my meetings this morning, using zoom video, were comfortably supported by the Monticello Inn's WIFI system. Restaurants are all walkable and there is a 24 hr Maverick Gas Station across the street if you prefer a far better coffee option than the standard cheap motel coffee in the room. And there is the surroundings, Moab, Canyonlands, and on and on. With all of those in mind, Monticello is a great place to base a trip to this part of Utah.

Friendly stuff and very affordable pricing compared to some other and neighboring towns. Although there is no hot breakfast provided, they do give you a fruit basket with thinga like an apple, 2 bananas, fruit pie, and cinnamon roll. Overall it was a pleasant experience and there is not much noise in the middle of the night.

Great Ma and Pa establishment. The owner/operators were super quick to address our needs. Great price. Pet friendly. Easy checkout policy. My girlfriend wanted to steal their bed bed because she slept so well. 5 stars.

We were coming from New Mexico and was just toing to stay in Cortez Co. But couldnt fiind any open motels. So we called around 11:00 pm and got an answer told us there was a room available and that he would wait for us. We finally got in at around 12 or so and he was very nice and got us checked in. Room was clean and i love the beds a little tall but definetly comfortable. I would recommend this place to anybody. So if you are ever passing through Monticello and need a place to crash i would stop in
