Old Brick House

Great little restaurant with kind staff and yummy food! My friend and I popped in on a weekday afternoon and everything on the lunch buffet looked fresh, despite the place being almost empty. I had the salad bar which was fresh and loaded with topping choices. French and ranch dressings were both delicious.
My friend had the bacon cheeseburger and she said it was cooked well. The portion was huge and the fries were crispy and fresh.

We Ordered Kettle beef and Chicken take out there for lunch for the first time. Had to be sure to take the time for a review. Everything was Absolutely delicious and had very friendly carry out service also. I can’t wait to be able to dine in this beautiful old time restaurant.

Great place with yummy food! But the service was INCREDIBLE!

My group of 19 came in on a Friday night, they took care of us quickly, served hot meals, constant refills, and even ran to the store for peach schnapps when they learned they were out!

Stopped here on a road trip and it was great. Buffet offered on Sundays, fried chicken, pot roast, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes etc. It was all great. Atmosphere was nice. Service was good. A must stop in St. Genevieve.

We went to the Old Brick Restaurant for lunch during the Chocolate Walk in Ste. Genevieve. We had the buffet for lunch. The had kettle beef one of my favourites. They had fried chicken, corn, green beans, mashed potatoes, gravy, salad, chocolate pudding and different types of fruit to select. it was a good Buffet lunch. This restaurant is a favorite place for St Genevieve people to eat. There's always a good chance you'll run into a friend or make a new one. The waitress was very attentive made sure we had everything we need as several times if we needed our drinks refreshed she was wonderful. I would go back to the old brick and bring my friends. The prices are very reasonable. The desserts for the day were peach cobbler blackberry cobbler 3 layer lemon meringue pie. I had the peach cobbler with ice cream, it's one of my favorites. Every time I go in there I hope they'll have it available. So the next time you're in Ste Genevieve stop by for the buffet you won't be disappointed.

Such nice and welcoming staff. The food was homey and comforting. Kettle beef and potatoes were simply amazing and hit just the right spot, esp on a rainy cold day. Fried chicken delicious and crispy. Can’t wait to visit again 👍👍

The food was excellent. Best salad bar in this area, and the fried chicken is great!

My wife and I shared a Monte Cristo sandwich. It was excellent. The building is said to be the oldest brick structure West of the Mississippi River. Originally the Territorial Court and, if I am not mistaken, the building served as a Masonic Lodge, for a short time. Ste Genevieve is a beautiful town, well worth the trip.

Service was good the burger was awesome, will be back next time in St Genevieve

Been going here over the years since the 1970's. The food is always delicious. Not a fancy place, just great food at a reasonable price served by lovely people. I'd give it 6 stars if I could!

A great place to eat when in Ste Genevieve. The building is historic. There is a casual section and a more formal section. The menu has quite a few choices plus they have a buffet. The prices are reasonable as well.

This is the best place to eat in town. Great atmosphere, amazing food. The waitress shared the history of the building which was super interesting. Blackberry cobbler was worth the trip. Don't miss it!

Cheese burger was really good. Next time I will try the buffet. Buffet had lots of choices.

Steak was great. St Genevieve was a nice visit to a historic town. And the Old Brick House was a very nice addition to our experance there. I did not take a photo of the Old Brick House but I did take a photo of the flooding the Whole town has endured!! I remember the news from there in 1993!!

If you are looking for a modern and sleek restaurant this isn't the one for you. But if you like old charm and character with good food and service then this is your place!

Great food and friendly service in a historic building. Afterwards, stroll around the lovely downtown. Loved it!

The buffet looked amazing but, we just got a couple burgers and they were above expectation. The black berry cobbler and cheese cake were both life changing. What a treat!

This restsurant and bar is located in the oldest brick building west of the Mississippi -- in the oldest settlement west of the Mississippi. Order the fried chicken and the German fried potatoes. Thank me later.
