Ted's Fried Clams

Had breakfast here for the first time. It was delicious. The servers and host were very friendly. New head chef Melissa came out and greeted us after we complimented her dishes. She is very friendly and upbeat, we can't wait to try her breakfast specials.

Rock House ice cream, attached to Ted's, has a really fun atmosphere, with enough people to add to the atmosphere, but not enough to make the wait an issue. The Maine black bear, blueberry pie, and black raspberry flavors were all great.

I spent 9 days in Maine this past 2 weeks looking for a great place to eat fried clams... passed several by and on my last day in Maine, happend up Ted's Fried Clams. What a serendipity! Folks were friendly, place was spotless, service was almost immediate and I had the best clams and scallops ever! Can't recommend it enough... BTW, my friend and I ordered separately and I am very sure we could have split just one of those meals. I am a big eater and couldn't finish my plate and wish I hadn't tried... but it was so good, I kept eating. Seriously, split a plate if you are eating with someone. I guess if I have one suggestion, the woman that took my order could have looked at me (I may be a big eater but I'm skinny and 5'6") and said "This is a lot of food Dude..." I still have no regrets and will go back if I'm in the neighborhood.

I bought the Wild Blueberry Sundae and a Cake Batter ice cream. Both of these were good. The cake batter was better. Great fast and friendly service. There are plenty of clean picnic tables outside to sit. There are also some tables covered with a permanent canopy. They offer sitting inside too. Reasonable prices for the ice cream.

Took some photos of the current 2022 season menu! I couldn't find much online so I figured this would help some people establish pricing!

My first time here to Ted's. Stopped by for an early dinner, kitchen was already in full swing. I got the chicken tender basket, and two clam baskets, and a pint of onion rings. So much food.
Next time i will plan for the copious amounts of food.

Huge portions and best clams and onion rings I've ever had. Amazing. Fresh for and oil and batter is very good. Cole slaw passed my stringent standards, too.

Another amazing meal at Teds. We got 2 Haddock & 1 Scallop Basket. Never any complaints just full bellies !

A must try. I had the sefood platter and I have to say it's the best that I have ever had any where hands down. A bit of advice though, dont try and eat it yourself as the amount of food they give you will feed at least 3. Clams, haddock, shrimp, and scallops with either fries or onion rings with a side of Cole slaw and roll.😀

We LOVE Ted's..! Not only is the food amazing, but the team is super friendly. We enjoyed an amazing meal of scallops outdoors, in the comfort of the shaded picnic tables. My fluffy pup rated her (very first) ice cream sundae "2 paws up!" The sundae had tiny dog cookies on top, as well. If you haven't been, you need to check out Ted's.

Outstanding food fast and good inside dining clean and kept that way I gave those kids a lot of credit that work there

I’m visiting from Colorado and this place is something special. I was just amazed by the huge selection they had. Several different kinds of seafood.
I had a lobster roll and a shrimp roll.
Everything tastes so fresh. They’re generous on the servings of the seafood platter (from what I’ve seen). It is a little pricey but it is worth every single dollar I promise.
(Don’t forget the ice cream!)

I travel to Maine every summer come to find out that original owners have sold. New owners had a fire. I’m hoping the new owners get everything up and running soon and I sure will miss the original owners.

Best seafood you'll find anywhere. Always cooked to perfection. They actually fry each seafood type in separate oil/frylators, so if you have a food allergy to one thing, it won't be contaminated by being fried together. Huge portions. Clean enough to eat off the floor there. Great value for the money and it consistently meets expectations!! Always a long winter while they are closed!

This place is a local gem. The service is great, and the food is top shelf. My wife usually gets the fried shrimp basket, and loves it. I am more of a burger guy, so I get the bacon cheeseburger. If you have room after eating, you'll want to get some ice cream as well. Don't miss this spot if you are in the area.
IMPORTANT - This is a seasonal spot, so be sure to check the hours before heading over.

WOW a Gem of a find. I had the fried clams and they were the best I have eaten since digging them up myself.
The were sweet and lightly fried and made me sing. Great place. Going again and taking friends along. Great seafood. Will try the scallops next time.

Friendly, helpful staff. Fried food is not at all greasy. Portions are plentiful, prices comparable. We were first timers but will definitely return.
