Bumper To Bumper Auto Repair

Am visiting from 4 hours away with my wife and four small children in a minivan. I was convinced I was having break issues and needed to get them done ASAP out of an abundance of caution. This business could have sold me new breaks all around in a second. I would have paid any price because of my family's safety. But instead, he did a diagnostic road test with me in the vehicle, and sent me on my way and told me, "you're good to go home. You might needs breaks in the near future, but not now. Go home and get a break job from a mechanic you know"!! I was floored with this man's honesty and integrity. Unbelievable!!! Humanity still has some "good ones"!!!

Jay, the owner, is a quality guy. His crew didn't actually work on my car, but he certainly provided me with good service.

My car needed emergency brake work when a caliper locked up. But I didn't have my custom rims' lugnut key. Yikes -- I didn't realize that, and I was 7 states away from home. So I left Bumper to Bumper to return to my campsite and see if I could contact my tire service place to get any info about this lugnut key. Then Jay drives up -- he came and found me! -- and says he'll give me a ride to try to get a lugnut key from a local tire store which is the best option we had (and which was still a long shot, he knew). So out we go, we get a key of the right size ... but it turns out it doesn't have the right numbers of spokes or whatever so that it can actually grip onto my lugnuts. All that for naught, more or less. But Jay clearly went out of his way to help me.

So I didn't actually pay him for car work (although I could have tipped him for the drive). But he quoted me about half of what the service place that I ended up using charged me. (They had to grind off my lugnuts and replace them all, since we didn't have the key.) I'd recommend Bumper to Bumper's fair rates and customer-focused attention.

Needed a new alternator and even with a power outage the job was done in under two hours. Reasonably priced and absolutely amazing service! I was recommended by a friend and now I will be recommending!

We discovered a slow leak and a flat tire on our camper just before starting a 10 hour drive back home. We were fortunate to meet Jay Ouellette from Bumper to Bumper Auto Repair who not only fixed the flats but repacked some of the bearing as well. While the work was being done, Jay let our kids play with his new puppy and showed his custom built truck. Not only did this make the wait time go fast, this otherwise inconvenience ended up being one of our great vacation memories. Thanks Jay for the great service and for going above and beyond - New Hampshire hospitality at its best!
