Grand Hotel, grand experience!
Cheerful, courteous service. Fresh, creative, delicious food for several hundred people for a two day conference.
Beautiful, clean, outdoor heated pool to swim under the mountains and under the stars.
Skiing next door at Bretton Woods on the best groomed snow I have skied on in over a decade. Only 2 and a half hours from Boston. I will be back with my family for a magical vacation.

My wife and i went for our wedding anniversary. The property is historic and well preserved. We found the service to be outstanding. Everyone was pleasant and kind. They brought a fridge up to the room to store our leftovers. The food at the restaurants is very good. We will be back.

Ignore the negative reviews on the rooms. The place is absolutely stunning! We did our homework, made reservations in all the restaurants beforehand, after all it was Mass school vacation week. Also made reservations beforehand in the spa and what an amazing spa it is, outdoor jacuzzi in the snow sipping mimosa's! We tried snowshoeing since rentals were onsite and we made reservations at Bretton woods for the gondola. While the dinners were just okay and nothing to write home about, the waitress in the reception/observatory area with the huge fireplaces was amazing, her name is "Maca" and you need to ask for her by name if you want top-notch service. Each night before our dinner reservations we would have drinks and apps (flatbread, baked pretzels etc) with her and enjoy a light conversation. Its too bad this type of service was not found in the restaurants. Overall, we had a lovely time and cannot wait to go back! Book in the Presidential Wing, you will not regret it!

What a beautiful property!! Absolutely loved my stay here, and would stay again! We got an upgrade to the presidential wing and the rooms were so nice! The pillows were too soft is my only complaint. Our view was amazing with all the trees changing colors. The staff was so friendly! We really enjoyed the free historic hotel tour, and learned a lot. This place is full of history. I would absolutely stay here again!

We took a semi-private Nordic skiing lesson at the Nordic center and had a fantastic instructor. We were at different skill levels and our instructor was able to work with both of us, offering tips on improving our skiing. Great instructor and beautifully groomed trails made for a great weekend

We didn't stay here. We were on a road trip and stopped in to check out the hotel. We were welcomed with friendly smiles. The view is breathtaking. We sat in the parlor and had a glass of wine. The bartender could not have been sweeter. We met a couple of vacationers and had a nice conversation. They were decorating the Christmas tree and the fires were burning. It was festive. It really felt special. All of the staff went out of their way to see if we needed anything. It's nice to be able to walk in such a beautiful place as a non staying guest and feel welcomed. That doesn't happen often.

Let me 1st say we did not stay at this hotel.
It is beautiful. We walked around the outside verandas and looked at the outstanding views. It is VERY pricey to stay at this place. We use our funds to see sights and spend less on where we stay. The ride is more than 3 hours without traffic from South of Boston. We went during peak foliage to ride of the Cog Railroad to the summit of Mount Washington. You can see this beautiful hotel on the train ride.
Would love to afford to stay at this hotel in the future.

This is our happy place. They have done an outstanding job of renovation and upkeep of the grand old lady. The staff are outstanding and make us feel like old friends. The food was excellent. We especially enjoyed the churros from the Rosebrook Lounge - light and airy with delicious dipping sauces. The surrounding area is stunning. Walk out onto the veranda and enjoy the view of Mt Washington. Whatever is bothering you will disappear as you take in the vista and the quiet. Treat yourself to a marvelous get away.

Upon our arrival, John (who is is an absolute delight) greeted us to take our bags and give direction on next steps to parking and checkin, etc. At checkin, we were welcomed by Michael, who treated us with every kindness. Although we’ve been to the property before, he gave us thoughtful information to guide our stay with every success. As a select member, I experienced value added to my stay with complimentary beverage coupons and helpfulness at every turn. We even requested a small refrigerator which was accommodated with ease. The Bellman brought our bags and when inquiring about the fridge, he called down to confirm one would be brought up. One arrived within moments. Every staff member encounter was an experience absolutely filled with superb service, helpful information and genuine kindness. The facility is rich in history, well kept/maintained and stunning in its grandeur. Not to be outdone by the breathtaking views of Mount Washington, this hotel is a leap above in amenities, fine dining, guest service and accommodations compared to another standard hotel lodging elsewhere.

The Mount Washington Hotel is nestled in the heart of the White Mountains of New Hampshire. I am already looking forward to my next visit after checking out yesterday. It really is that amazing!

The hotel is stunning, the restaurant was amazing, the staff is wonderful. My only thought was that our king sized bed in the mountain view side was not very comfortable, so I didn't sleep well. Other than that, it was a breathtaking place and magical visit.

We were here for a chamber music concert off the lobby. It is a beautiful location with an old, beautiful, historical building and grounds. However, it was not a good room for chamber music. There was the constant sound of a large fan. Openings into the room were curtains, which did little to muffle the conversations in the huge main lobby.

Beautiful resort, great service and our room in the main historic hotel was immaculate, but the food is less than desirable. Not much to do in the are unless you’re there to ski or drive to N. Conway. We had a discounted room rate for work, not sure I’d pay full price due to lack of food options.

Top notch resort. We had a wonderful experience celebrating my wife's birthday, from the horse and carriage ride to the restaurants. We had the best views of the presidential range. We would highly recommend this fine resort.

I didn't stay here, but we took a stroll in there, and it was a really nice resort. There was a wedding and a separate rehearsal dinner, so we didn't get to go into the cave fully because we didn't want to intrude. The views were gorgeous! I wish it wasn't as smoky due to the Canadian fires.

Though we left the Mount Washington Resort days ago, I still have pictures of the majestic resort and Mount Washington in my mind. The ambience, service and quality of this experience are memorable and timeless. We will never forget Abbie’s top- notch historical tour and extensive knowledge about its creation. Swimming outside in the heated pool, pockets of steam drifting up as snowflakes fell through the night sky was breathtaking!
It is our hope to return again, a big merci from the four members of our family who were there for two nights before Thanksgiving, in gratitude❤

Although I gave the rooms 3 stars, it did not detract from our experience. The rooms are a little dated however it adds to the charm of this magnificent hotel. The views are incredible. The entire staff was very friendly and the food was great at both restaurants. Would stay here again in a minute.

The location of the historic resort with stunning views is the selling point. Two weddings taking place ads to the atmosphere. The accommodations themselves are not especially noteworthy as it is historic with nice upgrades where necessary. Overall great place to explore for a couple days.

Stayed in the historic section on the third floor for a business conference - healthcare. The elevator was a loooong way on the other end.

Our buffet meals were good. Different selection of food each night. For breakfast I would have like to see a bagel offered and the blueberry sausage I recall from last year.

Nice complimentary beverage coupons on sign in which were fun to use in the Rose Brook bar. My spouse is attending the conference so for me a highlight has always been checking out the latest pinball machines in the basement arcade. Unfortunately the machines double in price - from a bargain below market 50 cents to $1 a game. Still less than some arcades.

I played two very fast games of Venom. Next day I tried James Bond and won a free game on points. Next game won another game and then matched for a free game. Ha! So at least on that machine I got my money's worth. Only thing that keeps me from spending more time in the arcade is the heat - that room gets insufferably hot.

One tip for dining options is the coffee shop downstairs. If you get tired of large meals or expensive meals, the coffee shop offers take out sandwiches, hard boiled eggs, cereal, pastries. Nice option if you were staying here on an extended visit and just wanted a light meal.

One grip on the room was the heat. I woke up several times in the night due to the heat in the room. There was a controller on the wall but it didn't get down to less than 71 degrees even when set at 67 degrees. Perhaps because we were on the third floor.

All in all, we attend this conference every year and it's allows a great experience to spend time in this historic hotel and in such a beautiful location.

Awesome hotel!!! I stayed in the inn near it but still, amazing experience. The natural beauty is breathtaking (Shh… Don’t tell your Texan friends) and everything about this hotel is great, clay tennis courts, Disneylike architecture, location with many things to do, amazing food and restaurant, along with a relaxing balcony ahh. The pool is kinda sheddy, because it’s dirty and there’s kids peeing in it all the time, but other than that, great hotel, would love to go again if I could ever have a break from school…
