Beautiful hike on Abbott Loop trail. Lots of stream crossings and water everywhere. The trail is well marked and maintained. Great view and a picnic table at the top, perfect for lunch or a snack. This loop is a popular branch of the FLT

Great place to enjoy nature. Roads in can get a bit rough. Some areas accessible only by 4x4 or by foot. Have used the land for campfires, shooting, hiking, and car camping. Serene spots can get spooky at night. Love to come here in the winter where it is unbelievably silent. Take out what you bring in.

Great rustic camping available... the roads are seasonal dirt roads. If the weather has been dry, it's worth it to climb up to the clearings on Bald Hill Rd for perfect camping solitude.

Features the Abott Loop for hiking and more. While not crowded you often find other users out on the trail. This state forest has a nice look as well.

Excellent hiking experience. Trail maintenance is usually fairly good. Views are not particularly spectacular, but a worthwhile experience nonetheless.

I really enjoy the Abbott 9 mile loop. (I unfortunately lost my sunglasses on the trail most recently, but I still really like the hike - I recommend going clockwise)

Passed through on the finger lakes trail. There's a nice shelter here also. Started to follow another blazed trail. Just kept going. Can stay busy all day here

Great hiking here. You can make a nice loop with various trails including the Finger Lakes Trail and Abbott Loop.

Beautiful single track. Lots of hills though. The FLT cuts though. I recommend the 'Abbot loop' off of Michigan hollow road.

We took the white trail moved over to the orange loop trail. 12-15 miles. Great trails .

This is a wonderful, hilly, wild area with a runnable segment of the Finger Lakes Trail. It never has a crowd, and is enjoyable all year.
