The Shack

I was doing some traveling and came across this great little place. The staff was excellent and the food was really good. I had their “shack special” which is a burger with pulled pork on top and it was amazing. I topped it all off with a huckleberry, real ice cream, shake for the road. Def worth a stop

I an a local and this is my go to place. A varied menu but everything is great on it. A couple of my favorite are the Malibu chicken (always juicy) hamburgers, and the huge burrito!!

This was a little restaurant out in the country. The food was delicious had a great fresh salad bar. Our waitress was excellent. There are five of us and all ordered at the same time she never made a mistake. She introduced us to ice cream we never heard of it was delicious. Recommend anybody to eat there. Prices were good too.

1/2 meatball sandwich and 1 trip to salad bar which includes a cup of delicious soup of the day was perfect. Salad bar selections weren't labelled but everything was delicious. Don't miss the historical center!! I agreed with and loved the John Steinbeck quote.

The server we had was a great worker always doing something not once standing around. It was great to see a young person with initiative

This was a little hole in the wall but it was super inexpensive and delicious they have a salad bar and pizza bar and I did not get to try the pizza cuz I eat healthy but I did do the salad bar which was awesome so great to have salad bars back again and they also have a special deal where you either get pizza and salad or soup and salad and I got the soup and soup was delicious as well I'll probably never be back to Whitehall but if you ever go it's a cool little place to get a great meal for a really inexpensive cost.

Very nice place. Food was good and the waitress was great. We had the pizza, all made from scratch. Salad bar was also very good. A+++

Great pizza and lots of local beers to choose from. Plus, The Shack has hard ice cream (lots of flavors) for dessert!

The Shack is the best place in town to eat, we go there often. We were in there a few weeks ago and they paid for our meal! The server said they just randomly pick a table and the meal is free, I have NEVER heard of that happening. The staff is always friendly and the food is excellent! Thanks for the free meal!!!

A fantastic spot for pizza, salads and burgers! Message sure to get them with a delicious root beer float! The staff was excellent as well!

I rarely give 5 stars, this place is delicious the people are nice and it can get super busy sometimes and they just take it in stride! A must visit and try the jalapeno popper grilled cheese! Yummy!

Sunday breakfast buffet
Relaxed clean atmosphere with friendly, attentive staff. The buffet is $12.00 a plate, with sausage, bacon, biscuits, home made gravy, two types of scrambled eggs, fruit, pastries, French toast, pancakes, potatoes and more. All. you can eat. You just couldn’t ask for more. We had an absolutely delightful meal. Oh, and great coffee which is included.

Not many options open to us in this part of Montana for dining out on a Sunday afternoon so The Shack won out by default. Lucky us!!! We all had burgers and they were nothing short of awesome...the best we've had here in Montana or on any of our visits to Idaho or Utah. Cannot recommend them enough! The Shack has a large menu and we will be back often now that we've discovered what we've been missing. And kudos to them for the friendly staff and the sparkling clean restrooms!

Good food at reasonable prices and the people are always friendly.

So many choices. Great comfort foods and good selection of beers. Awesome breakfast bar on Sundays. Owner is a good man, waitress is awesome. They will get my business anytime. Prices are very reasonable.

A family favorite for the occasional drive from Dillon for great pizza and ice cream!

Every time I've eaten here, it's great. Quick service, good food and big portions.
