Coronado Motel

The hotel is clean and the beds are angelic. It’s vintage but amazing. The owner was so kind I wanted to sit down and sip coffee with him. More importantly the other employee, Brownie, was so friendly. He loved every one begging for tummy rubs and playtime. Sure you can go down the street to the Super 8 for $90 but this double queen was only $45 and nicer than any Super 8 I’ve ever stayed in.

If you are bougie maybe head up to Santa Rosa and pay over $100 for a Hampton Inn, but it won’t have character.

The owner is a sweet man. It’s a very antique kind of motel. Older rooms, pets allowed. Slight smell of old cigarettes, but you will never beat the price. Even with a pet fee. I was in shock how inexpensive. Stayed here so we could visit the Billy The Kid Museum. Town is very quiet. There’s also a nice specialty coffee trailer in town. Super friendly people!

I stayed here in 2017, and loved the place so much I drove out of my way to stay there again about a month ago.

The man who runs the place is so kind. The rates are dirt cheap, probably the cheapest you can find across the country. The rooms are clean and accommodating. There is a coffee machine, and cable tv.

The place is quiet and small a nice place to rest for the evening.

We had arranged for the motel days in advance, encouraged by the previous reviews, and was running late on the road on the day of arrival, we called and let them know, it was ready with the lights on when we arrived late. The room was HUGE with a 2 queen bed room, it was clean and a great value for the money. Keep in mind this is an older motel with pole beams running thru the ceiling which gave it a old home comfortable feel. At the price it is a great deal for a family ...or couple/individual on a budget. It has a small fridge, and microwave in the room. When traveling and if possible we plan on making this motel a destination when traveling thru and don't hesitate in referring it to anyone.

Great old school Motel! The Coronado is very clean and is american owned/operated. The Motel has a very mid 1900's rustic feel. Motel has cable and WiFi as well!

Wonderful place - Owner/Operator is a great fellow. Great place for Bicycle riders to stop for a night or two. I sat out storm for 4 nights.
Has all the amenities of the big hotels with out the price.

Lovely clean room. Nothing fancy, but the kind welcome and cosy rooms were much preferred over anything fancy. Would go out of our way to stay here again, and would highly recommend.

The rooms were clean, very old style authentic. Owner was very friendly. Called another hotel in the area and they were very rude, but the owner of the Coronado was a very nice man.....I would recommend anyte

Very rustic and quiet. Affordable! Beds are hard but nice and clean with good shower. I stay there every time I go to Fort Sumner.

Very nice motel. Clean rooms and the gentleman at the front desk is very friendly and very knowledgeable about the towns history. If I pass through Fort Sumner again this is the only motel I'll stay at.

Most affordable hotel in nm. Not a luxury 5 star resort but comfy beds and quiet nights sleep.

Love everything about it, and you can't beat the price. Owner very nice , friendly and helpful. Cold Ac, hot shower and firm bed.
